I just had my 3rd vehicle tinted at Solarworks and, once again, they did a bang up job! My new Jeep came with after-factory tint on the driver and passenger side windows. When Tyler went to remove the 3M tint to replace it with Formula One Pinnacle, he found that the driver's side door panel gasket had been split by the previous tinter. He called me immediately upon finding it. I would never have known it was busted if he hadn't let me know. I took it back to the dealer to get it fixed and the guy who owns the tinting company popped in a new one in 5 minutes, but he checked out the tint and commented that it was a great tinting job. I've taken every car I've bought since 2005 to them to take care of. My spouses cars, my kids cars etc. The work is always done right and the results are perfection. The owner Keith isn't interested in tinting windows, or retaining customers. Keith acted as though I was bothering him by showing up for my appointment for a complete job on a car of mine. I'm talking just pissed off and walking around the customer waiting area bitching openly about customers in that waiting area. Very inappropriate. I jokingly told the counter front-office girl "his attitude isn't going to bring the boys to the yard" as he seemed pissed off to even be there at his own job. Anyway, the front desk girl told Keith this and he just walked by me and muttered something like "if you don't like my attitude you can take your car somewhere else" and so even though I had an appointment with this person, and even though this was about to be the 3rd car he's done for me, AND I had this car lined up for other appointments, he's lost my business for good. You don't treat your customers that way. He had done other cars *adequately*...but he was always pissed off even back then. He hates his job, and I don't know what keeps him going, but I'm taking all my cars and boats elsewhere from now on and I suggest you do too. This place is not recommended at all. read more

Great guys at Solarworks! I emailed for an estimate before making an appointment and got a prompt reply from Keith. Tyler took care of me upon arrival and was very courteous and professional. He provided a thorough explanation of the various options they offered, the cost and their excellent warranty. They even included this in their email reply to my inquiry. I bought my Infiniti G37 two weeks ago. It was the first car I ever bought to not have factory tinted windows. With black leather interior, this car was like a heated oven each time I got in my car. While driving, I can feel the blazing sun beam down and slowly burning my arm left through the glass window. My brother-in-law referred me to Solarworks for professional tinting service. He said to get the Pinnacle F1 (top of the line) because he had it installed on three of his vehicles and is very happy with the service and the overall appearance and function of the tinted glass. Apparently there is a difference in functioning tint and tint just for appearance. :) I drove from Lawrenceville to Alpharetta on the hottest day of this year (so far). It was 99 degrees mid day. I had the sunroof window closed and AC on blast at 66 degrees the whole trip over to Solarworks. The sun and heat in my car was excruciating. I couldn't stand it. When I got to Solarworks, they were expected me because I made an appointment earlier in the day. They estimated 2 hours to install the tint. They were done in one hour. The Pinnacle 35 looks great! Classy, smokey tint and smooth surface. The service was very professional. What blew me away was the functionality of the tint. I drove back to Lawrenceville in 107 degree heat and the car was cool inside the whole way home! The AC was on 69 and low. The sunroof was open for light and it didnt even heat up my interior! Wow! The tint looks great and it's functional. There was a huge difference. I paid $429 for this service and I totally think it was worth the money and investment on my car. I know there are places that can do the tint cheaper but I need functionality over appearance because I want comfort and my interior to last. In this case I got all of the above. Also, the work has a lifetime warranty. I'm very happy with the service. This summer may be blazing hot but not in my car! read more

In Keith's own words "if you're expecting perfection, you should go somewhere else". He also stated, "there is going to be dirt and specs of dirt in every tint because we are not a level 10 clean facility." I find this completely contradictory to their own advertising and company statement that says "When attention to detail and perfect workmanship are of the greatest importance, we are your premier choice" ... yeah right, which is it Keith? In my opinion they will not stand behind this statement at all and they are trying to pass off a poor quality application and prep saying it's normal for the industry for there to be dirt trapped all over between the film and glass and that I should be happy that the subsequent tiny bubbles created aren't too big and I should live with it. I have contacted 2 other tint shops and both agree this is a bad install and or prep. One even went on record to say that "on a scale from 1 to 10 I would give it a 7. Some dust in film can't be avoided but a $400.00 Job should Have been better." Basically, after their 3rd time with the vehicle and applying the rear window twice there are still bubbles on the back window. In fact, when Tyler did the second (current) application and gave it back to me he pointed out a spec of hard dirt trapped in the film about the size of a small hard piece of tobacco and told me that it "shouldn't be a problem." Well I'm glad this shop seems to think they can dictate what I consider a problem or should accept and be happy with on my own vehicle (that they didn't purchase) after subpar work but that's simply not the case with me. I told him it was a problem and I wasn't' happy with it and he looked at me like it was my fault for not accepting it and that I'm being unreasonable not to accept it when he himself pointed out and said "there is a small "issue" with dirt right here" but then says "it shouldn't be a problem" meaning I should live with it. The truth is it's a poor-quality prep and application and I told him that and he told me to go home and think about it and call him back if it's still an issue. I did call back the next day, Keith answered and offered to remove the film and refund my money and he'd have to ok it with "corporate" (basically his dad who is the owner, lol) and he'd let me know on Monday. I called them on Monday or Tuesday and Tyler answered and he told me to bring it in but then Keith got on the phone and told me to give it a week and see if they go away, which I know now is smoke and mirrors because he himself on our last visit said "they were dirt bubbles created by the dirt" so those don't just simply lay down over time. . I gave him about 1.5 weeks but then when I brought it in Keith and (what appears to be his Dad, who also stated "I am the legal department") and also looked at it and said, "you're not happy cause of those tiny bubbles"? In a very sarcastic manner. I stated yeah, and the fact that they are all over the back window and that those are the same tiny bubbles that they warrantied and fixed the last time, so they already claimed ownership of the problem. product yet this time it just ended with them walking away, me yelling and them never offering to fix or remove it and return my money as previously offered and me meeting my attorney on Monday to discuss the details. So, in closing, BASICALLY, If you want to lower your expectations and aren't wanting perfection for your $400.00 or more tint job, I'm sure you'll be happy with their final result; but, I am not. They refuse to fix the issue just passing the buck off on me for expecting quality work. This is Ironic because that was not the song and dance when I first went in and Keith bragged about how good they are, how long they've been in business 30 years (25 and 20 because it changed with each visit) and how they are so much better than the other guys and "nobody's perfect but I'll be very happy with their work" and he don't care if he has to redo something 20 times because in his words "it's more money for them cause Llumar pays the warranty work".... don't believe the hype, my experience with this shop is they will not stand by their work or the warranty (because I do have bubbles caused by the dirt in the poor application) and will only defend and try to make you feel unreasonable for expecting a quality job it in order to keep the money in their pockets and not do the job they brag they can do. read more

I just had them tint my 2011 Acura TL, which has a tricky, angled back window and this thing looks AWESOME. Top marks for customer service, quality of installation, speed of installation and lifetime warranty!! Usually there are some temporary bubbles or hazy spots for the first few days of any window tint until the sun dries it all out and the tint sets in, but this last time, there wasn't anything. Afer a horrible experience I had with a low class, low budget, unprofessional, tacky, and horrible janky owner and business at Quality Tint on South Cobb Drive, I took my new 2014 vehicle to Solarworks to clean up the mess "Quality Tint" had made on my windows. They had to remove the tint and reapply again. What a relief! My window tint looks great! it's clear, with no bubbles, no creases, straight edges - the works! Just got my car tinted by Keith and his crew. I haven't rolled down the windows yet, but it looks like they did an excellent job. I thought I had a scratch and a small imperfection on one window, but it turns out that the scratch was the adhesive that would eventually fade away and the imperfection was a nick in the glass. Had an appointment-after waiting over 1 hour 45 minutes-car had still not been pulled back to garage. When I asked about how much longer- was told that I should have been told to plan on 2 and half hours (was never told this) and they still had 45 min. to get to my car. What was unfortunate is the manner in which the manager communicated this to me. He was irritated with me-for asking how much longer. Nice front desk guy-he even felt badly at how the manger interacted with me. Left-found another company to tint our car windows. Will not be going back. When they do the job, which they have on 2 of our other cars, the work is done well. However, I always find I would rather work with a business that treats its customers with courtesy and respect.
