My daughter is in color guard and plays violin. She had significant back pain and took pain medication daily. Dr. Hey discussed her options with us and encouraged my daughter to think about what would be best for her health. She opted for surgery. She missed about 2 weeks of school and rested during spring break. She was able to return to color guard for band camp in July and has not had to take any more pain medication for her back since her surgery.
