So let's just be honest here, I hate going to the doctor. It's nothing personal against doctors,…read morethey're great people! I just hate the prospect of being probed, prodded, and stabbed with needles. However I work in the healthcare field and I have seen a lot of things that could have been avoided if people just would have gone to the doctor, so as a result I am a firm believer in yearly check ups. I am also a huge advocate for finding a doctor that you like and trust. Unfortunately due to changes in the healthcare system, doctors rarely have time to spend with their patients. There's always a demand for them to move quickly in between their patients to get to the next one. My husband started going to Dr Grace Tang several years ago and he is her number one fan.....if doctors can have fans..... . She recently moved to this practice and he spent months researching trying to figure out where she had gone. I was also in the search for a good primary care doctor, and when I saw how adamant my husband was about finding dr. Tang so he can continue going to her, I knew she had to be a fantastic dr. (My husband is super picky.) So I made an appointment for my yearly physical. Let's start with the front office staff, on the phone when setting up my appointment they were very professional, and answered all of my questions regarding insurance, billing, and my goals. Upon arrival they were just as professional, kind, and greeted me with a smile as I came in. Unlike most practices, I only had to fill out a couple pieces of paper. Dr. Tang's nurse was also very nice, and professional. She took my height, weight and blood pressure, reviewed a few questions with me, but left the majority of my history for the doctor to do, which is very unusual. Usually the nurse obtains all that information and if the doctor wants to know they have to read it. But that is one of the things that I really appreciated about this experience, the doctor sat & listened to my health history, and wrote her own notes. And then there was the infamous Dr Tang! She was gracious, classy, thoughtful, and actually cared about what I was saying. She sat down and took the time to listen and ask questions. So very unusual from the typical revolving door experience i'm use to. And last but not least came the most dreaded experience for me, lab work! Before we go any further you should be aware I'm a huge needle phobe. I hate needles with a passion.... needles bring about massive amounts of anxiety for me....truly it makes no sense, but that's how it is. Dr. Tang suggested that I stay in the examining room and lay down for the blood draw instead of going to the lab draw room. For me this was an excellent idea! And then in came Brittany. I'm not sure if Brittany was a phlebotomist or nurse who does lab work ( as a result, henceforth she shall be referred to as the blood sucker!) but either way she was amazing! She kept me calm and relaxed with her down home compassionate and sincere demeanor, and she's really good at what she does. I barely felt the needle go in and she worked quickly despite all of the blood that I needed drawn! When it was all said and done I told her she could draw my blood any day. BEST BLOOD SUCKER EVER! !!!!!!!! And believe you me people that's not something I ever say! From start to finish I had an excellent experience at this practice. I highly recommend it to anybody who's looking for a doctor (and staff) who want to take time with their patients and get to know them, and treats them like human beings, not like a herd of cattle they have to get from one location to the next as quickly as possible. Oh! I forgot to mention their patient web portal. I realize more places are turning to this, but I still have not seen it as often as I thought I would. However! They have a simple to navigate web portal where you can email the doctor with questions, see your lab results, and see the suggestions the doctor gives you regarding your lab results. And they do lab results fast! My husband had his results by the next day, with recommendations from the doctor attached.... I totally find this impressive

I called the office and left a message about how I was feeling and within 5 minutes my phone rang. MY PHONE RANG!@!! It was Dr. Tang, the best MD on the planet. I had an appointment the next day and she tweaked a med and now I am fine. This wasn't the first time she called me over something. Once she called me on her way home from her car and she sat in her garage for 5 minutes until we finished!. Okay, people, when is the last time you had a doctor call you at home?????? WHEN??? I have no idea if she is accepting new patients but if you are looking for a practitioner, ask if there is a waiting list and GET ON IT!!

Had it documented even when I did, why I did it, even what time I did it. They didn't care, they told me "you shouldn't have taken that many" again, after being told "you can take more than one if needed" it wasn't like I ran out 2 weeks early, no I ran out 3 days early and because of all of that, I chose to find a new doctor and cancelled my appointments. Imagine my surprise when I get a certified letter today from this place saying "we are terminating care for the following reasons" - abuse of prescriptions - verbal abuse of staff Ummmm.... Are you kidding me right now? I agree I was a little.... Extra when it came to arguing with them over this situation but for them to now label me as an "prescription abuse" I'll play absolute HELL trying to get a doctor to do anything for my anxiety that this place was treating me for. So for them to put that in my medical record was so uncalled for over 3 extra pills in 30 days, that I was TOLD WAS OKAY TO DO... just to be turned around and labeled a prescription abuser. I honestly and whole heartedly believe that they did it out of spite and revenge and that's exactly what I'll be telling the attorney I talk to on Monday because to me, they purposely did it just because I terminated services with them. Little strange that I tell them I'm terminating services, cancelled my appointments, 40 days later I get a letter claiming "we are terminating you for prescription abuse" yeah, they absolutely did this out of spite and anger for me ripping into them for essentially lying to me and saying one thing while knowing full well what they'd say if I ran out early. Again, I ran out 3 days early, day 27, technically one day before I could legally get them, and that's prescription abuse? Yeah... I sense some shade in the water and hurt in the booty. I'm sure a lawyer will agree since what they just essentially did was malpractice since now I'll struggle for the rest of my life to get care for my VERY WELL DOCUMENTED BY MULTIPLE DOCTORS, severe anxiety. If anyone is familiar with the GDA-7, my avg score is always 15-20 or, In medical terms "severe and debilitating anxiety" and they labeled me an abuser? Shouldn't be hard to get the meds I need now, not at all. I highly recommend against going here lest you want to be labeled a drug addict for running out of your meds TECHNICALLY 1 day early and then suffering for the rest of your life for it just because they got spiteful. I'm not going to take this laying down. Worst thing I ever did was trust anyone at this practice, second worst thing I ever did was take the meds like they told me I could and the third worst thing was ever going back. So please tell me if it makes sense that I tell them I'm terminating services effective immediately and cancelled all my appointments and follow ups, then to receive a letter over a month later saying essentially "we are terminating you for being a drug addict and abusing your scripts even though they have zero proof i abused anything, mistook anything. Nothing.... Just weird that this all comes over a month later. Highly suggest you stay as far away as possible. I'll come back and update this review after I speak with an attorney and let you guys know (the readers not the practice) what they had to say about this situation. Oh the kicker to this? This letter comes and arrives less than 2 weeks after an appointment was listed in my medical records for a psychiatrist appointment.... Which again? Makes me think even more this was done purely out of spite because I called them on their malarkey. Id have given zero stars but that was not a choice, I'd prefer they give me a star actually, for this public service announcement that this place is trash, will treat you like trash and then label you trash and go somewhere else because you don't appreciate the label of "trash" anymore. Again, this will not be taken laying down, not now, not tomorrow, next week or year, not EVER. TL;DR STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE, you'll get a better level of care in a state run old folks home.

Then some of them left here and started a new practice. I likely should have left then. The doctor I had been seeing canceled my appointments three times in 2024. In January then July and again in September. I'm not sure if they have too many patients but it is very hard to get an appointment that isn't months out. The provider I had been seeing liked to run tests even if these same tests were just done by another provider and she had a copy of the tests. I had enough of that and some of the tests were just unnecessary but could be billed. Prescribing unneeded medicine was something else I noticed here too. I've already tried another provider in the office but she was not good with listening to my concerns either and not very thorough. I will try another before moving to another office.

I went in as a new patient to this location because it's close to where I live. The provider I researched & wanted to see wasn't taking new patients. Ugh!! So, they put me with nurse practitioner, Kristine. HORRIBLE MISTAKE!! Though she was somewhat personable, she DOES NOT listen. I found myself repeating things over and over & she STILL acted like she didn't hear me. I am a bariatric patient, so there are vitamins that I MUST take for life. She didn't seem to get that. She even told me that she asked a dr there (I don't know who) & they told her that I didn't need B12 injections. I may not NEED them, but that's what I prefer and have been doing for years. Just say your office doesn't prefer to do them. Don't tell me that research said I don't need it because I have "lapband" when I DO NOT HAVE LAPBAND. AGAIN, she didn't listen nor did she pay attention to my records. Where tf did she get lapband from?? Each bariatric procedure has different vitamin needs. So, maybe lapband patients don't need B12, but I DO. Anyway, the HIGHLIGHT of my 2-hour visit (because Kristine was SLOW AF) was the lab tech Ms. Becky & the checkout lady. That's a doggone shame that having tubes and tubes of blood taken was the BEST part of this visit. Smh. Just know that I will NEVER go back to see Kristine. I will drive to my regular provider 40 mins away before I ever go back to see her. And I made sure to tell the checkout lady to take her name OFF my record as a provider I'd want to see for future appts. I was given another person's name there, so if I get desperate enough to go there again, I will try that provider instead. The parking is horrible too. Just park in the back if you want to avoid the traffic nightmare. People just can't drive. This 3-stars is for the lab tech & checkout lady only. If I had to rate based on Kristine, you know what I'd give this place.
