*Disclaimer that I am an employee* I have a SOLE paycard that I use in addition to another bank account and I have the same access/features as all other cardholders.I love the new mobile app that has the face ID login which is so convenient and I wish that more apps had this. Activating your card online is easy and the card works like any other standard debit card that I have. I signed up for text alerts so I get notified when a deposit is made to my card and there are other alerts you can sign up for which is easy to control from the app. Two other great features are that I can go online I can see pending deposits which is a great confirmation that my deposit is coming. Also, through the mobile app I can "suspend" my card in case I misplace it. It just puts a block on it and if I find it I can unsuspend it or call customer service if I need a replacement card due to it being lost. read more

Fees Fees and more fees. You get charged for everything. I don't know why my employer opted to use this method of payment. They switched from check to this card. The second issue is the app. It has a lot of bugs and as a developer I have contacted them about this issue and it still hasn't been resolved. read more

I was offered this card from my past employer. Thought it was a good idea at the time. Found out today they had been charging me fee's left and right for the dumbest things. To call and check your balance $1, to use your card at an ATM $2.95, then charged another fee by the bank you are withdrawing from. Then another $1.25 for having insufficient funds, because when I checked my balance they charged me. I call all these fees thievery. There is no need for them! Bad for business, moving on. The absolute worst customer service!! We use this card through our employer but I'm thinking I'll stop using them here very shortly. What a joke. The week before last, I called and because the line was busy, I left a message to be called back. Nothing. Two days later, I sent an email. Again, nothing. Last week, I called again and was disconnected. So I called back and was on hold for just over 16 minutes. Hello? I've got stuff to do!! I sent another email and nothing. I called yesterday morning (Tuesday) and left a message as they weren't open yet. No call back. It's now 3:47 on Wednesday and I've been on hold for 11 mins, 58 seconds. Awful. read more

This is my first ever bank card, so I don't really know how other cards operate, but I feel that this card is pretty good and convenient. I don't really like the various fees though. To get money out, I have to go to an ATM, which charges me, along with the card fees. These amounts add up, and causes an inconvience at this time for me. We get paid through Sole, I guess now TFG...Can't get a paper check, which should be illegal. But when their bill pay made a mistake, $134 one. They charged me almost 70 to "stop payment" on checks I had in my hand!!!! (The mistake was they sent ME the check instead of to the gas company). Ok fine. When do I get my $70 I asked...oh 7-10 biz days...this was March 2018. Each time I call, I ask for a manager, because as I explain, the regular reps can't help & I've been told to ask for a manager. Nope, they make me tell the whole story, give ref #s, ticket #s, then transfer me...only to charge me $3 EACH TINE THEY transfer me to another brainiac! I started seeing TFG solutions paid, but cancelled every 2nd starting in May...but I noticed my last 4 digits of my account number on left "cancelled" transaction. I told my spouse, I think they're trying to pay us back with our own money, but since we live pay check to pay check, there's never enough for them to do it. Well I got paid on the 2nd & $64 gone to TFG...I called mad, because I wasn't even going to pursue it anymore, it was costing me too much in fees to talk to people who don't know how to fix the problem. I told them I thought TFG was a company that did giftcards(I used to do giftcards yrs ago for work) not ONCE did they tell me TFG IS Sole! Lus their stunt made my credit card payments without enough funds from their stunt. I myself received the sole paycard from my last employer, I however have my employer a direct deposit form from my bank not only once but twice. They however choose to do as they wanted and my first paycheck from there when I was expecting it, I couldn't find where it went to because they didn't use my direct deposit information for my bank. So I had to wait until Monday to find out they gave me a paycard. This second time however I'm no longer employed by this company anymore thank goodness! I still haven't received my direct deposit on the paycard nor in my bank account. I now have to wait another 2 weeks because payroll of the company I worked for messed up! Other than that, I like that you can Transfer the funds to your own bank account! But, with my last paycheck which was the first one on this paycard, I just used the card as like you would a normal debit card however they should take away the ATM fees! read more

Use as a Paycard only or don't use at all. SOLE has been falling off my first mistake was still using them after I didn't receive merchandise purchased and they never refunded me my money after they contacted the merchant. Needs new customer service representatives most are rude and doesn't care about your money they just want to charge you for questions you need to speak to a live rep for and can't find online. read more

It's just a pay card to get the money you earned. It was ok for a while till I got a letter stating everything and any thing I do with the card, I will be charged for. Like they take .50 just to add the money on your card. If you need a new card more money. If you call in it's like 3.00 to help you. The fees are just outrageous. So i am switching to direct deposit. These fees are killing me. I noticed also if I have say 500. 00 in the card and charge something for 40.00 at the store it gets declined and there is a decline fee. Went to activate my sole pay card from my job and i get to the 4 digit Social Security part i enter my number in and it says error over and over i contacted my employer and they said to try something else which i did and it worked then it gets to take a photo of your ID in which i did and it times out then i get back to the beginning and get to the Social Security part and it tells me error error please call which i did at first before i talked to my manager and they gave me a email address which i could not write because the person that was talking on the phone with me was hard to understand. I AM REALLY DISAPOINTED RIGHT NOW WITH BOTH MY EMPLOYER AND THIS COMPANY WANTED TO GO CHIRSTMAS SHOPPIING WHEN I GOT PAYED BUT I CAN'T BECAUSE OF ALL THIS STUFF WITH MY CARD. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service! They make a mistake and I get to jump yhrough hoops to fix it. I have had some crappy paycards in the past but none compare to this polished turd! They have had all of my money tied up for nearly two weeks now. The merchant that mistakenly charged my account released the money a week and a half ago. Wasn't good enough for soul(less)! They now have the merchant and myself jumping through more hoops while waiting on a phone call. I will be finding another company to handle my money since soul(less) cannot seem to do they one thing the company is supposed to. Probably one of the worst paycards i've received, and I worked at Steak 'N Shake. Customer service always seemed to answer right away but the service received was questionable. Had a security hold for over a month and the only way to relieve it to access any of my money was to send pictures of my ID and SOCIAL CARD. All the customer rep could say was sorry send pictures ten million times. Against my better judgement for my money I did, and I am constantly keeping an eye out for action with my information. I could never use the website and overall it was really inconvienent. I would never reccomend. read more

I disliked this company the moment i got it. I could just tell i was going to have problems with them. They steal your money. I was charged twice for live support fee on the same day, but why was i charged when i was trying to close my account? That's something i couldn't do online. Months later i notice my account still was never closed and i was charged and inactivity fee. Worse card company to exist. On too many occasions to count, i couldn't log in, kept saying my log in was wrong. There was even a time where i called and told them i couldn't log in, to learn they had the wrong zip code on my file. I called yesterday again to close my account and complain about the inactivity charge, my account seems to still be open and i haven't received my refund for that fee like i was told i'd get. The app is great and easy to use. The only thing I dislike is that you have to pay to talk to a customer service representative.

Gotta say the SOLE card is actually pretty nice. I don't receive any monthly fees or anything like that. I will say the only downfall is not being able to deposit cash onto the card as well. As my new employer does not offer direct deposit. So for me that drops it to a 2 star because it makes my card useless as of now. read more

Love getting a text that my money in in my account. No fees to get cash back so that's another plus. Cons it charges you to check balance over the phone but you can get app like I have and check or go to the website. Also will not charge if money isn't the so another plus. Absolutely the most difficult card I've ever had to set up. Sat on the phone waiting for an hour on Friday for customer service to pick up and help me because it wasn't allowing me to register online or on the phone. Online it's telling me that I already have the card activated, so when I try to sign in it tells me that my log in info is incorrect, so I click on "forgot password." It tells me that it sent me an email but I never got the email, and also says the code it sent to my email expires in 5 minutes. Great. So I fucking call the activation number and I type in my card info then it asks for my social and once I type it in it tells me that it doesn't recognize my social security number. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't understand how to set this bs up and it's impossible to get ahold of anybody in customer service. I've had several paycards in my life and never had so many issues trying to activate them. Worst experience so far. read more

By far the worse company EVER! I've been trying to activate my card since 1:30-pm. I have no access to my money because they fucked up on their end and can't answer a fucking phone call. I have been on hold for two hours, that's two hours of my time gone that I can't get back because of these stupid people. Why did you guys even create this business if you can't even manage it right? I am literally on hold while typing this review. I recommend everyone to use a different company if you'd like to receive your money on time and actually receive your money because as of right now SOLE Financial is looking at a lawsuit for keeping my money from me.
