She really took the time to listen to me, and I felt like I was able to convey my desires for the result I'm hoping to achieve. Kym did a beautiful job on my nails and I love the atmosphere in the salon. It's fun and lively and didn't feel elitist or judgmental, which can happen at salons. I wasn't greeted very warmly, but I tried to give the benefit of the doubt since I was running a few minutes late and didn't know what may have happened before I arrived. The salon itself is very clean and brightly lit. After choosing my polish, I was directed to my chair. One thing to note is that the pedicure chairs are elevated, requiring you to step up into them, and they are not massage chairs. The basins also don't have jets, and the seating area feels a bit close together. My nail tech did a good job on my service, and I was happy with the final result. However, she did remind me that I should arrive on time next time because I was late, which, while understandable, didn't make me feel especially welcomed as a first-time customer. What stood out most was the overall customer experience. I noticed a drink menu and waited for someone to take my order, but no one ever did. Throughout my appointment, I was only spoken to by the receptionist and my nail tech. Meanwhile, many other clients seemed to have a warm, familiar rapport with some of the staff, which made me feel a bit like an outsider. To be clear, I have no complaints about the quality of the work--it looks great. My disappointment was more with the customer service and overall atmosphere. Based on my experience, I didn't feel particularly welcomed, and that's an important part of any self-care appointment for me. I started seeing her several years ago per the recommendation of a friend who, with Shannon's help, let her natural grey grow out and looked phenomenal the entire time of her transformation. I wanted the same experience and Shannon did not disappoint. We started with cutting my hair a little shorter than usual - to just below my ear lobes. Shannon added lowlights to tone down the existing full head brown dye and let my natural grey/white areas work as highlights. Then she gradually cut off the brassy-blond left over from coloring and let my hair grow longer again. Now I have shoulder length grey hair with natural white-silver highlights and am loving it! First she tried to charge me for the service to fix the issue, when I told her that I did not expect to pay for her fixing the problem she became extremely rude toward me in front of all the other customers and staff. The only apologies I received were from the other guests who witnessed this interaction. I am now at another salon that had to book multiple appointments to safely work on my nails due to the extent of the damage. Unbelievably poor customer service and overall not a good person.
