I don't get to go very often but when I do (between Sayreville & Matawan) my experience is usually the same. Clean, relaxing, decent music most of the time. A few minor suggestions...many years ago I tanned somewhere else & they had little mirrors in each room that helped me see to put my earrings & necklace back on & to check real quick that I'm at least somewhat presentable to go out in public instead of having to go to the back where the bathroom & fix yourself up area is. The new tablet check in loyalty program is awful. The punch cards were much better. The tablet never seems to work & it always seems the counter is off. It used to be 10 tans now its 20. I could check in & be at 12/20 then next time I'll be at 8/20. Never can get to 20/20 & don't even know what benefit it has. Sometimes it seems like it's just a cool hang out for the employees & their friends/boyfriends & you have to wait to check in because you're interrupting their conversation or something. One of my biggest issues is every time I need to buy new lotion I express my absolute hate to bronzers. It doesn't work for me & quickly gets blotchy leaving me look like I have a skin disorder (which the salesman where I bought my truck expressed great concern for me when he pointed it out to me). Yet everytime I think someone finally understands me & I bought the lastest & greatest so dark so fast tingle NON BROZER, I'm left very disappointed & out more money. My last issue, the reason I felt compelled to review, I went to Sayreville Thursday. I got there at 8:50. I knew they opened at 9 now from an issue the week before (still says on Yelp hours are 8-10!). I waited until 9 to approach the door & it was locked. I waited until 9:15 before I left before I was late to work. I was waiting with another woman who said it's always like this. Honestly I am NOT happy about this. I was trying to squeeze in a quick relaxing tan before work & in the time I stood there waiting I could have been in & out & on my happy way. I guess the openers oversleep...a lot. I was a longtime customer at Dream Tan on Main St. It really bothered me that they haven't replied to my many emails and calls about the situation on them opening again. So, I just found this place, Soleil tans, on google. And I went to scope it out today. I was upfront and told the lady there that I was just shopping around. I expected her to just rattle off some prices and twist my arm to buy something. I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't the case at all. She showed me around the place and explained all the different options with memberships and other day by day options. And when I told her I couldn't sign up until I spoke with my better half, she still continued to give me advice on the lotion I'm using and show me different options. I'm a salesman, so I always expect that others are trying to get a quick sale and move on when they realize they can't. But this wasn't the case at all. It's a breath of fresh air to find companies that do still care about their customers' needs. I will be back to sign up with my wife. read more

I was tanning at Soleil tans on route 34 for a couple years and stopped going in a few months ago. Im going on vacation next week and came across a tanning salon by my job in Sayreville. I stopped in to check pricing so I could compare with my previous salon. I didn't realize it was the same company and was pleasantly surprised to see my favorite salesgirl there. This will be my new tanning spot from now on. I always liked Soleil Tans on 34, but when the staff changed over, it just wasn't the same. The new staff is nice enough, but A little pushy and unreliable. I rushed one morning to get there before work only for the store to be closed. I guess they moved the amazing staff over to Sayreville. Besides the helpful, smiling faces I grew to love, its clean and the beds are great. A tip to everyone: there is a Soleil Tanning next to Retro gym in Sayreville. It's kind of hidden away, but not really out of the way. Its worth the 10 minute drive from the old bridge area. read more

I just love this place! Every time I go there, I leave feeling refreshed & relaxed. I've used all of the tanning beds & the matrix is by far my favorite. Sometimes there is a wait for this bed, but I can't fault the salon because others love it as much as I do. I go to several of their locations and really have no complaints, other than a couple of the girls in the Edison salon are abrasive at times, but I haven't been to that one in awhile so it may have changed. So, I went to the Matawan salon last week, not realizing the hours had changed and they were closed. When I came to this salon, I expressed my disappointment to the manager and she immediately alerted the owner of my concern and comped me a session in my favorite bed. I couldn't be happier. I have been an employee at soleil tans for 3 months now, and I have to say I LOVE my job. My coworkers are absolutely awesome, as well as my tanners that come in!! Forming relationships with regular tanners is my favorite thing to do. I have the coolest boss and managers anyone can ask for. It's such a fun environment. We take pride in our salons and make sure every guest feels welcome. We go through great lengths to keep our salons clean and make sure each guest enjoys their stay. I have to tell you that this is the best place to tan. Its clean.. which is the most important to me! Friendly? Omg Yes! Sabrina who manages this location.. is truly the best!!! After having an issue with my payments not going through I received excellent help from Amber and Shawn after sending them an email. They were both very helpful in figuring out the problem and helping me get the issue resolved so I can continue to have my tanning benefits! I have been tanning off and on for special events, vacations and just before summer hits so I don't burn! This was the first issue I have had in 7 years of being a member! Amazing experience. I went in to tan for my first time here. I bought a membership for extremely cheap compared to most other places. Alexis helped me pick out which bed would be perfect for my skin and which lotion I should be using. Sayreville is quite far from my house but I certainly do not mind driving this far because the customer experience that I received was one of the best experiences I've had by far. I have been going to Sayreville, NJ Soleil for years, they are always helpful, cheerful and willing to help. It is extremely clean and organized. If there is something they are out of and you are trying to get it they will go out of their way to see if other stores have and they can bring for your next tan. Wonderful, Solei Tans is by far the best tanning salon I have ever been too. Extremely clean, the staff is super nice, and they have the best promotions! No other tanning salon offers these great deals and what's great is that they are not pushy at all. You get what you want all the time, and availability of a bed is always great! 2nd visit today and both times the receptionist (Rebecca and Leslie) were great. Talked me through the best bed and lotion for my skin type - complete tour on my first day and Leslie helped again today with making sure the bed was working right. Walked in and didnt have a memeberahip so the young girl referreed me to tan dollars. Basically every dollar is 1 tan dollar and she got me 80 tan dollars for free for 100 for a total of 180. The best part was i got to use any bed i wanted my first time for free which was great! Great place the employees are very nice and helpful. read more
