At the same time, we offer practical hardscaping solutions like interlocking stone patios, retaining walls, and drainage systems at competitive rates. History

Established in 2019.

Stephen Robert Disher, Owner/Operator, has worked in stone masonry and natural stone hardscaping since 2008, beginning in landscaping while putting himself through university. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, he founded an ecological landscaping business rooted in sustainable design and land stewardship. Through full-spectrum landscape installations, Stephen discovered his natural affinity for working with stone. Its irregular forms and subtle variation proved a perfect match for his attention to detail and creative eye. This focus evolved into a dedicated masonry practice and the founding of Solid Earth Stoneworks in 2019. His work reflects a respect for traditional building methods and the enduring beauty of stone. Outside of work, Stephen is passionate about local food security, community resilience, and music. Travel throughout Central and South America has further shaped his appreciation for place, materials, and timeless building traditions.
