I am currently a tenant and Select Property Enterprise is the property management company for the rental home I am residing in. I do not recommend this company for anyone to go through. Homeowners, find a different company. Renters, be sure this home is the one you want to live in for the duration of your lease because your experience with the individuals who own and work here are unprofessional.
CONS:
1. From the beginning, there have been communication issues. We spent 5 months asking for assistance with the alarm panel and front door lock. Finally, after multiple emails and requests, it took me having to contact the owners directly to help us change codes. This is a security risk for my family and the property manager did not take this seriously enough to help us.
2. At lease signing, the owner informed us of a broken bathroom window that was scheduled for repair. This was over 7 months ago and it has yet to be addressed.
3. 21 August 17, we received an email from Tammy Dowling informing us of an HOA letter received addressing weeds in our rock bed. Same day, my husband responded to the message informing Tammy the weeds have already been taken care of. Early the next morning, I received a phone call as I was walking out of my daughter's Dr. visit from Denny. Right away she starts telling me, "So, the owners received a letter from HOA about weeds being in your rock bed." Me: Yes, we received the email yesterday afternoon. Denny: Well, what's going on with this because it needs to be taken care of and we only have a few days. Me: My husband already responded to Tammy about the letter. Denny: Well, I don't have access to Tammy's emails. Me: Do you not speak with one another in the office? Denny: Do I need to send my guys out to fix this and I'll just send you the bill? Me: No, my husband already answered the email saying it has been resolved. Denny: okay thanks that all I need-and quickly hangs up.
I was so insulted by the way Denny spoke to me and the treatment from Tammy. She brushed me aside after I tried to express my frustrations and make a formal complaint. Overall, communication, customer service, and professionalism is lacking in this office. I don't appreciate being threatened and expect a little more courtesy since we just received the notice less than 24 hours followed up by a classless phone call. Tammy's excuse to the treatment is "July and August are really busy times and some of the HOAs are pretty strict and she (Denny) just wanted to make sure you had received the letter." Not once have they taken ownership for their behavior. We enjoy the house and neighborhood, but I would never recommend this property management company to anyone I know. ***this is all documented through email***
