The class was awesome! Challenging in a way that really pushed me. I wish there were showers, but otherwise the studio was nice and clean!

The classes here are on the more expensive side but I think it is worth it. This has been one of the most effective workouts I've done. The class moves extremely fast and you will likely be lost for the first few classes. They have bathrooms (2) with a good assortment of amenities including lotion, face wash, hair ties and bags for dirty clothes. Took class here on my travel pass this week with Lydia. The class was practically empty through no fault of Lydia's/the studio's. I will say the studio itself is in kinda weird location and it wasn't the most pleasant walk, but that's where my complaints end. Lydia was so nice and was a great instructor. Her choice of music was bomb and she did an excellent job with hands on corrections for newer students. She made sure that everyone had the correct form as opposed to just calling out instructions. The studio itself is gorgeous - personally I prefer the ones that have two rows of megaformers which this one does. The machines were in great condition (granted this is a newer studio). I woke up the next morning so sore, which is a good indicator to me of a challenging class. Obviously not local to the Boston area but if I were I'd be happy with this as my home studio. read more

Wow! First time ever doing Pilates style workout and I all I can say is -I'm shaking. The room itself is quite large and has multiple reformers. The instructor talked about how to use the machine and instruction on what to transition to during the workout. The front waiting area and locker room is small, but if you're coming 10min before class- you just go right in anyway! Bathrooms were stocked up with extra hair ties, Bobby pins, even a hair dryer! If you're looking for something new or a challenge, I say give it a shot! You will be impressed by how strong your body really is!! read more

The workout is very challenging. I definitely recommend taking the beginner classes if you are new. The instructions can be very fast paced and difficult to understand if you are not familiar with them. I really do not like their entrance system. You have to put in a code to get let in, which is fine, but they give you a VERY NARROW window of time to enter. Maybe 5-10 min before classes start? And you are not allowed entrance 5 min after classes start. This makes it super annoying if you drive there or take the t. Even if you take the initiative to try and get there a little early you are just left out in the cold or the rain until you are within the window for entrance. This place must only be targeting clientele that live w/in a 10-20 minute walking distance to their studio. For the amount they charge you think they could afford a receptionist to let someone in or god forbid a shower or place for you to change into workout clothes after work. read more

I got a free class from yelp and was hooked so I bought some classes with the founders deals. This location is really convenient if you take the T but driving in, it will be difficult to find parking. This is the first workout classes that I've ever taken and I was kinda nervous in the beginning about being too out of shape. Granted I have done occasional at home workouts recently so I can hold a plank now. The workout itself is tough but so far the coaches has been really supportive if you can't do everything 100%. This place is pretty small with one bench by the door as the waiting room and only two bathrooms. No showers either. Overall a great place to hop in for a workout and waste no time read more

Let me start off by saying - before solidcore, I had never done a pilates-style class or used any type of reformer machine. So, everything after the check in process was totally new to me. The studio and workout (if done correctly) are fantastic. Clean studio, new machines, welcoming staff. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because, as a complete reformer newbie, it was really hard for me to follow where to stand, how to be positioned, how to switch the resistance, and what resistance to use. Due to some last minute cancellations, our class ended up just being me and my friend (who was also a total newbie). I would have thought that this class size would give us an opportunity to really learn the workout format and the movements, but it felt like the instructor was on auto-pilot and reciting a script versus being present. I'm not new to working out (I crossfit, climb, lift weights, spin, have done barre, etc) and I still felt like I was unable to do the movements correctly. There were times when I could feel pressure or straining in my back or neck, which is typically not a good sign. There were no individualized cues or adjustments for the movements, but our instructor did come by and make the appropriate resistance changes to our machines, when needed. If you have reformer experience, I think this workout is great. If you're totally new, you may feel a little lost at first (and that's totally okay!), but you may need to ask for help or adjustments. I don't want to discourage anyone from trying out this workout. I can see this being a really effective workout and I think if I went a few times instead of just once and/or if we had more people in our class to mirror, it would have clicked and I would love it. read more

This place is a complete scam. (1) Instructors are not trained properly. They do not do any adjustments and just walk around yelling. (2) Music is so loud that you cannot hear anything during the class. You have to look at the person next to you to figure out what's next, wait they are as confused. (3) Cancelled subscription but it looks like they continued charging. Now I am $1k down for the 3 classes I attended. I hope I can make my money back as I never authorized subscription renewal. This is how they get you. Absolutely horrific experience. No idea how this place has good reviews. read more

Such a fun workout! I went to solidcore for my first time on Saturday and I am STILL sore everywhere 3 days later It was a great strength training workout. The instructor, Louisa, was phenomenal. She was motivating, accommodating, and very friendly. Their new north station location is clean and centrally located downtown by TD Garden. Overall, I highly recommend! read more

Very pleased that a class like this - pilates like - opened up in the area. I have been a few times to this location, and love the vibes. Amber H is currently my favorite instructor - she is amazing ! The locker rooms are small, but that isn't why I am coming here. Can't say enough good things. As someone who is into traditional resistance training/weightlifting, this workout was humbling. The workout targets different areas (mine was triceps and inner thigh) and works out all parts until muscle failure. These exercises BURNED but in a good way. my friend & I tried solidcore this past weekend, we were super excited to try it out! i'm a pilates girl so I was also excited to use the megaformer. we showed up ready to go, early like they said. I went over to the instructor & told her my friend & I were new she said yeah just hold on so I can get everyone checked in, fine but was hoping for a little more direction. she comes over & quickly shows us the springs & where to place our bodies but that was really it. during the class we were both so confused, not given any modifiers & no visual to base our form & even the exercises in general. usually for beginners you add more tension so you're stable, she kept saying one thing then switching up what she said. it would make sense for different moves but we were both confused regardless the entire class. we are both disappointed because we would've loved to have been regulars but it was just all over the place. wouldn't recommend unless they start offering a beginner class with foundations, or maybe we just needed a new instructor. ‍ read more
