Took my first solidcore class this past week. It was easy to sign up for class on the app and the stuff was friendly. They do not have a separate waiting room. Make sure to don't walk in before 10 min prior to class- you will walk right into the studio into a class. Class was challenging but doable. The instructor was great and very helpful during the quick transitions. Will be back

Entrance - come up the middle of the parking garage to L1, go outside and turn left!

Can confirm: I am unbelievably sore the day after this workout! Probably one of the biggest butt-kickers I've had in years. I came here on ClassPass - I've done a bit of Pilates before but was so curious about this style of class. I love that they're in West End - the underground free garage parking is a huge perk! It wasn't too full when I came on a weekday early evening. Come up the middle of the garage to L1, go outside, and turn left and you'll see the entrance. The door is keypad locked: you'll get the code when you sign up for a class! I was instantly greeted by the instructor Dylan: he welcomed me and showed me around the area. I put my stuff down by a machine went and got changed in one of the two bathrooms. Note: there are no showers or formal locker rooms here. We had a few minutes before class, so Dylan graciously walked me through how the machine works and what to expect in the class. I felt so welcomed! He greeted folks as they came in, and fellow classmates greeted each other. I could really tell this is a supportive and tight-knit community, and that they really like him. Class time! The lights dim to a blue ambiance, Dylan's mic goes up - and so do the jams. For me, the loud music and instructions drowned out my thoughts of how hard the workout was, but I could see why they put earplugs out! Dylan gave play-by-play instructions throughout the 50 minute workout: we started with core, then one side of legs, then three arm sets, then the other leg set, then a finishing burnout. This workout is SO challenging - everything is balance and resistance! Trust me: you will feel this. I was literally shaking at the end in the best way possible. Dylan provided assistance and adjustments throughout and encouraged the class. The class gave me a round of applause for my first workout, and a few classmates came up to me to say good job. As our class ended and the other started, I could really feel the positive vibes. This is an amazing workout with a great community and instructor(s)! While the price point is pretty steep, I can definitely tell it's high value.

I tried Solidcore during their summer introduction deal of 2 classes for $28 - a great promotion! The studio itself is tiny, but functional! I wish there was a little more room to get prepared for class, but that's no biggie. The class is like extreme Pilates - all done on a mega reformer! I would classify myself as someone very fit - since I strength train daily and add in cardio + fitness classes. This class was HARD! I'm not very coordinated, so getting used to the machine was a bit difficult. It is also not very short-person friendly! Overall, I got a great sweat and soreness from the class. The biggest downside to me was that this is not beginner friendly, especially with the machines. The coach doesn't demonstrate the moves, they just yell out what to do and try to verbally help you adjust as best you can. The class is also extremely fast paced, and hard to hear the coach over the music. I consistently felt about 3-5 beats behind the class making me feel very out-of-it. I didn't love that it was encouraged to look at the people around you for queues, rather than an instructor. Overall, great workout - however with the high normal price point ($33/class or $100/4 classes a month) and lack of coaching/demonstration, I will not be returning.

Solidcore is my new favorite place. Not only was my body sore the following day but I felt like a new woman after this class! It worked every part of my body in the best way and I was shocked at how effective the movements are. I chose to not wear Pilates socks to this class but if you have a fear of falling I would recommend the socks. The room does get darker during the class but the blue lights provide a sufficient amount of light and mystery! So pumped to go to Solidcore again in the future.

9/29/22: machines are REALLY close to each other. Would like some space in between.

10/4/22: Overall 4.5 stars. I came here during my visit, thanks to my ClassPass account. I never, ever pay drop in rates at boutique studios. I get them for a fraction of the cost! PM me if you want to get a free trial, as I love being able to workout & do beauty/self care stuff, no matter where I am in the country! You need a code to enter the main studio door, which for the life of me, I couldn't get to work lol but of course, it worked for the girl behind me! I love that you have to remove your shoes upon entering. That way you know when you're walking inside the workout area, it's clean. Same thing with the bathrooms too (unless the bathroom floor is dirty, then barf! lol). They have ear plugs (they blast the music loud!), mints & hair ties at the front desk. I like that there's sanitizing wipes as well. There are 2 bathrooms, which are well appointed with feminine products, face wash, dry shampoo, deodorant & lotion. That was a nice touch! The cute wall sign is backwards, so when you take a selfie, the sign is backwards. There are 16 machines that are extremely crammed next to each other and it gets HOT in there from the class prior. Here's where they lose some points with me: - Very hot in the studio. It was mid-70s when students asked the instructor to turn on the AC! It should've been on from the beginning. I thought I was gonna pass out, it was so hot! Normally, this would make me drop more stars, but because everything else was pretty good, I only took off .5 stars - No towels. Would've been nice to have at such an expensive studio, but I didn't dock off any points, as some high end studios provide, others don't. But since it gets so hot in there, they may wanna consider either providing towels, and/or turning on AC - I'm no stranger to this type of workout (it's my fave). I wasn't a fan of the core sequence. It seemed really long. I'm used to more variety. I didn't dock off stars for this either, as this is just a personal preference of mine - Would've liked hands on corrections But instructor styles were pretty motivating, and great music. Whenever I'm in town, and staying in the area, I will always come here to get my shakes on! Hopefully, the classes I end up taking will have better temperature. With all the pluses and amenities, they definitely deserve a round up to 5 stars! I'll be back!

I absolutely LOVE Solidcore! Hands down the hardest workout I've ever done (didn't think I was going to make it through the first class), but feel so so good after! The energy is great & super motivating.

Don't underestimate this workout. I was excited to see Solidcore was coming out to Minneapolis. I had been hearing great things about it from my DC friends and as soon as they opened here I knew I had to try it. The studio is small with only 10 Megaformer Machines - meaning you're going to get a LOT of attention from the trainer. I was nervous because it was my first class and had no idea what to expect but the trainer Tyler and owner Alyssa did a great job explaining everything and making me feel comfortable. Class started out with Tyler showing us the moves he'd be calling out and how to do them. They seemed easy enough as he was demonstrating, but about 3 minutes into the workout I was already sweating and discovering muscles I hadn't used in years. The class was great - it was high energy with great music that helped you try to keep your mind off of how sore you were. Tyler was very motivational and helped get us through the class. If you're looking for a fast-pace, intense workout definitely checkout Solidcore. This is a great addition to the West End!

I used to go here years ago, and have now had to return due to closure of (yet another) LA Fitness…read morethat's closer to me. They do have new equipment and a remodeled interior, which is what I'm commenting on. Their new layout majorly sucks. The machines, such as stairs, treadmill, elliptical, are lined up directly behind the stationary bicycles, which are, in turn, lined up against the floor mats for stretching. I haaate seeing all these sketchy dudes pretending to use the stationery bikes while instead they ogle the women stretching. It's just so transparently disgusting, I thought we were past this in 2026. I miss how the stretching area used to be tucked in the corner and not on display for the entire gym. The last thing I want to do is lay on the floor in the middle of a fishbowl, while getting into different poses. I should just take photos of the oglers and upload them here, since management doesn't seem to care if guys take photos. As far as the other patrons. There's a group of guys in the back and use the place like their personal circuit training, they all rotate weight stations in the back so no one else can use them. And I just love when people are yakking on their cell phones. And PS, why are there so many people working out in street clothes? I thought there was a dress code? I notice how there's a bunch of 5 star reviews with no actual comments and a "thank you" from the manager. No responses on any review that isn't glowing. Usually a sign of manufactured reviews to skew the rating up. just sayin

They recently re-did this LA Fitness and I love the improvements…read more In my opinion, it flows a lot better and there feels as if there is a lot of space in there for the lifting equipment, so I really like that. Even at the busy times of the day, it does not feel too full in there and there is almost some machine to use. There are a bunch of cardio machines and they got a bunch of new stairmasters (finally). This is one the the LA Fitness locations that seems to have consistent staff, and I really appreciate that for the customer service aspect. I go out of my way to attend this LA fitness!
