We were able to make all payments through an online portal and allowed us to leave quietly without having to interact with anyone else while we were grieving. I cannot thank the staff enough for helping us through the very difficult process. I have since returned with our other pittie who is unfortunately allergic to earth. My childhood dog was diagnosed with nasal cancer by this clinic, and I was told to cherish and enjoy whatever time I had left with her. Hearing that was absolutely devastating, and I spent days believing I was going to lose my best friend. Just days later, I sought a second opinion from All Kinds Vet in Callaway and was told that she did not, in fact, have nasal cancer. To receive such a serious diagnosis only to learn it was incorrect was shocking and heartbreaking. The fear, stress, and emotional pain this caused my family were overwhelming. My dog has since passed away. I will always wonder whether a correct diagnosis could have changed the outcome. Losing her has been one of the most painful experiences of my life, and the fact that we were given an incorrect cancer diagnosis only makes that loss even harder to accept. Because of this experience, I would never bring another pet here and will continue to warn friends, family, and other pet owners about what happened. Our pets are family, and they deserve accurate diagnoses, competent care, and compassion!!

I picked my baby girl up yesterday, first thing I noticed was no cone around her neck. I was told that the sutures were internal and she doesn't need a cone and that some licking is normal. Red flag there. Second, she was sent home with no pain meds. When we got home, my girl cried all night. Her legs were shaking, she would barely walk or go potty. She was in pain. I called today at noon(when they open) and explained to them that my girl is in a lot of pain, asked if I can pick up something to make her comfortable. They said Dr. Knight didn't do the surgery so they can't give her pain meds, that I would have to set up an appointment with Dr. Knight so she can evaluate her. Evaluate what? She was cut open and is suffering. Absolutely disgusted. Second, at her exam prior, Dr. Knight says that my baby needs a couple of baby teeth out and we will do it at her spay appointment. Did they do that? No. When I asked why it wasn't done during her spay as talked about, they tell me," YOU should have told US." Ummm, it was discussed prior to her appointment... do you not make notes in the chart?! Do your baby a favor, pay the extra money and take them elsewhere. They don't care if your animal is hurting.

I'm so glad I did! They do day visits which has allowed me to be away from the house for more than 3 hours at a stretch. Sight seeing here I come! I have had them come twice to take my dog out to potty and give him some attention. Both times I have received pictures and a cute report. When I got home he was contentedly sleeping in his bed. At one vet visit I mentioned to the vet tech that we would be boarding our dog later in the year, so needed the appropriate vaccines. She started to advise against boarding an old, blind dog until I told her we were going to Trails End. Her attitude suddenly changed and she said, "Oh, if your using Trails End that's great. They do a wonderful job and it is more like they are in a home." My son is coming to visit in July and I am so happy to be able to take my son to D.C. sightseeing and know that my sweet little dog will be given loving care while we are gone.
