My daughter and I both went to Ascension Eastwood/Eastwood Clinics in the past and had good experiences. We tried to come back this month and unfortunately that was no longer the case. I made an appointment for my daughter for next day and received a message hours later that a mistake was made and it was supposed to be virtual so "that time won't work" and it was cancelled. I called back and the office had closed minutes later and didn't open again until our appointment time. I would have taken the virtual appointment had I been given the option. After unanswered voicemails for 2 days, I was able to reschedule us for 2 weeks later. Then I played phone tag again for days to finally get the paperwork sent to me. There were multiple issues on their end and voicemails went unanswered, even during business hours. Finally the day of our appointment, I was asked to come in early to fill out the paperwork AGAIN in person. I took my daughter out of school, and the therapist met us out in the lobby and told us that day was free but the rest of her in-person sessions were booked up, so there was no point in her seeing my daughter that day. And that no one else at the practice saw patients her age. So after jumping through all of those hoops, wasting hours on phone calls and paperwork, and taking my daughter out of school, we were not seen for our appointment and simply sent away. I was shocked that I had talked to the office to confirm about the paperwork THAT DAY and no scheduling issues were mentioned. There is zero communication between staff members and obviously zero care about their patients. After reaching out for help/ suggestions for new therapists on social media, I was met with others who had similar stories. It's so disheartening that this is "acceptable" treatment of people who truly want help.

I have searched for help for over 40 years and was thrilled to be told I could get treatment at this facility. I was matched with Monica Alderman who I was told has a Specific degree in counseling patients for PTSD and eating disorders as well as trauma counseling. Upon my "second appointment" I happened to mention in passing that my little sister has been swallowed by the liberal feminist machine and doesn't call my father for his birthday and she hates men. I immediately sensed a complete change in Monica's attitude towards me and by the end of MY SECOND appointment she tried to dump me as a patient. I explained that I have massive abandonment issues so she said ok she'll keep me on with appointments every week, but she immediately canceled the next two appointments then said I don't work well with people that get mad when I cancel appointments. In the end she canceled 3 out of 4 appointments in one month, then dumped me and tried to make it seem as though it was all my fault! I was early for every appointment, she was at least 5 minutes late for Every appointment, sometimes more, with no apology. A terrible thing to do to a person who is suffering on a daily basis! I suffer from reconstructive surgeries on both hands, both wrists, both knees, both shoulders, with broken ribs, broken collarbone, broken scapula, all fingers and thumbs broken more than once, eating disorders, sleeping disorders, CM-PTSD, panic attacks, severe breathing issues and severe chronic pain daily Over my entire body! I will be filing a complaint with Bureau of Professional Licensing and the Bureau of Health Systems against Miss Monica Alderman. I feel her conduct was extremely unprofessional and very uncaring towards me and my challenges. I feel I was dumped because she thinks I'm a Trump supporter!!! Not to mention in the last 10 years I've lost my Mother, my only Brother and the last 4 friends I had, and she knows this! She also knows I have contemplated suicide in the past, she simply Did Not Care! She lied to me many times. In the end she gave numerous excuses to dump me as a patient ranging from 1. You've partially read 2 paperback books on PTSD so I can help you! I'm at the end of my ability to do anything for you. Which is Pathetic! 2. Don't work well with people that get upset when I cancel appointments (After she canceled 3 out of 4 in a one month period directly after telling me she would have appointments every week!) 3. My schedule is too booked up I just can't fit you in anymore! In the end None of these are legitimate reasons to Drop a Patient Cold Turkey with NO Warning!!! She also told me(without checking) that nobody else in their facility could help me either!!! So unprofessional!! Not a very good reflection on the facility as a whole! I will be contacting the facility to see if they share her vies prior to filing complaints on them as well! My recommendation would be to steer clear of this place and specifically Monica Alderman!!!

She always ends the session telling me positive things about myself and how I'm going to be ok. Even just talking to her about our dogs or tv shows helps me so much. Thanks Nicole!
