Jeff is phenomenal. Helpful, responsive, does the job right and delivers beyond expectations. His co-worker Luis was excellent too, and together they did amazingly professional work. I had a bathroom remodel and had to make adjustments along the way, and there were some unexpected situations that arose. Jeff quickly pivoted to make helpful suggestions and quickly adapted--while making those adaptations fit with the original design approach. You could tell by the finished result how much pride he and Luis take in the work--the bathroom is now the nicest room in my house. We have a large above ground pool with a wraparound deck, which required extensive repair, due to water damage and aging. Jeff, with Solutions Home Improvement, was the best professional to help us with this project. We required a replacement of steps, in three different areas, along with wood replacements in multiple floor and structural locations. We also requested repainting of it all. He provided a fair market estimate, for what he initially saw, and was transparent along the way, by calling out any new issues that revealed themselves. He did not just slap "lipstick on a pig". I've gotten the run around for weeks with this guy. Takes forever to respond. Finally scheduled a appointment with us and was a no call no show. *** I have the text on my phone where he mentioned coming this past weekend. A text saying he couldn't come would have been professional. I knew coming memorial weekend was BS. It was my final straw on how this was going to be handled. Two weeks before he was supposed to just come one day during the week and was a no call no show. Had me sending photos like he was coming. Being busy isn't an excuse for not touching base. This job isn't a emergency but I expect people to follow through or give a update. Wishy washy schedule and not being structured doesn't work in my world. If I had this many misunderstandings or brushed people off at my job I'd be fired. I'm not a stupid person and really wished you were honest and never bid or wasted my time for a job that was too small and unimportant for your company. OMG...Color me highly impressed! Jeff G. arrived 5 mins early for our 9am appointment to rehang one of the cat perches that had fallen off the wall (for the 3rd time) and to patch the holes in the dry wall from the previous attempts to mount the perch. The original handyman that hung the perches had already come back once to fix it. The 3rd time my S-I-L gave it a go but after a while it fell off again. Jeff G. is quite personable and worked quickly (30 mins and he was done)...he even cleaned up after himself! His price for the project was waaaaay more reasonable than other handyman services I had contacted for the project. If I am ever in need of handyman services again he'll be the first person I call. Jeff has done work at my home twice in the last year. All the work was excellent! Mostly had plumbing done, garbage disposal and bath faucet replaced as well as fixing a leak in my basement. needed a support for over my dishwasher to support granite countertop being installed. Jeff built a cabinet around it and installed a bar across the top. He did not install the dishwasher at that time but was supposed to come back when the counter was installed. He was unavailable when the counter was installed so the installers attempted to install it before thy installed the counter, but it would not fit. So they installed the counter anyway. I had a plumber attempt to install it, but he could not make it fit. Finally Jeff car out and he then could not make it fit. You can see where the wood around the dishwasher is showing and the brackets on top stick out. Every time I would pen the dishwasher it would tilt out as wrecks would slide. Jeff said he though he could find a part to attach it to the granite without damaging it. 30 days later he told he found the part at owls and could install it that day and sent me a bill for $500.00. During those 30 days I was fed up with my dishwasher always falling forward every time I opened it so I screwed it to the wood. I asked if the 500.00 included finishing trip to hide the ugly wood used for the cabinet. He said that would be extra. read more
