Wowza! Driving cross-country from Boston and just happened to stop in for lunch--lucky us! Kyle and his crew serve up delicious specialty sandwiches with super high quality meats, excellent breads, and fresh takes on salads. We loved the Grinder (like a classic Italian we might get back home, vinegar and all) and the Greek salad. Would go out of our way to come back, for sure. read more

I might have rated another star up but for my dining experience having been occupied by a 45 minute wait on hold for Hertz Emergency Roadside Assistance and a miserable call with the miserable person who finally answered the phone (God forbid encountering an actual emergency with respect to Hertz; I was directed to Hertz Emergency Roadside Service by a Hertz customer service at the main number I called, and the Emergency Roadside Assistance person seemed to think it was her job to cause a person to vow to never use Hertz again - Congrats to her - mission accomplished!) Stop here! I do what I always do when traveling the country and ask the host for their recommendation. So I ordered the grinder with Italian seasoned bread and peppers. Let me say, that was one of the best sandwiches I have had and the ratios were perfect. Also, it was easily the best textured bread I have had; it maintained shape but was so soft and fluffy!!! 10/10 recommend. And do not leave without a cookie, they are huge and delicious!!! Excellent deli, especially considering it's literally in the middle of nowhere. Had the Deli Club on sunflower wheat and all the toppings. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. The sunflower wheat bread was *really* good, by the way. There's a lot of classic advertisements for decorations on the walls with seating on the ground floor and (more) upstairs. When the weather is warm enough, there's a couple of outside tables on the sidewalk, but in March it's not warm enough yet. :) The only drawback is that their hours are limited to lunch Tuesday through Saturday, so if you're looking for dinner any day or lunch on Sunday or Monday then you're out of luck. (This is why only 4 stars instead of 5). read more

Stopped in here for lunch looking for a great sandwich and this little deli is full of them. I had the Smokehouse with swiss on Garlic Herb bread and it was great. The fresh baked bread was soft and thick cut. The smoked ham, turkey, swiss and cheddar were all great, but I couldn't get over how good the bread was. If I was a local, I would eat here every day, no joke. The place has a great atmosphere in historic downtown Glasgow. Some cool antiques and photos throughout the dining room to check out, both upstairs and down. Staff was friendly and helpful in aiding my sandwich decision making. There aren't a ton of options in Glasgow, especially open for lunch, so the Soma-Dis Deli is all the more worth trying! read more

In Fort Peck/Glasgow for a day trip. The group I was traveling with chose Soma-Dis. Don't let the looks of the upstairs from the downstairs fool you. There's plenty of room to sit and eat as well as stand (we had a VERY tall fellow with us - he ducked going up the stairs but was otherwise fine - the ceiling looks lower than it is). The sandwich names are creative like the Holey Cow, Herbn Legend and the Hot Rod. They're tasty too. We had a party of 10, the kitchen didn't know we were coming and they were serving sandwiches to some of us when the rest of us were sitting down. The staff was very friendly and remembered some of our group from previous visits. The sandwich was delicious (although I passed on the cherry peppers) and I liked finding the palate cleansing pickle tucked safely under the basket paper after finishing my chips and sandwich. Another must is to check out the very well-made quilts around the restaurant that are for sale. I will definitely keep that in mind the next time I change the bedspreads in my house. read more

Luckily we found this on our trip west. Although we arrived eight minutes before closing time of 6 pm, we were served great sandwiches. The server was kind and friendly. I have been here about a dozen times and haven't been disappointed once. I hate wording it this way but for Glasgow, Mt this place is a gem. I expect to find a great steaks or a good hearty breakfast in plenty of small towns but I didn't expect a well-thought sandwich with quality ingredients. The staff is friendly, the orders come up quick, and you can have a cold beer to wash it down. A solidly good sandwich shop in a unique building! Their food is always great. Their salads are wonderful (I like the Greek salad.) If you're a vegetarian and you've somehow found yourself in Glasgow this would be the place for lunch! I think the atmosphere is half the fun because of the "upstairs" area. And the fun art all over! You just have to try it for yourself and see! I always get the veggie sandwich and my husband loves the Herb n Legend and the Bolshevik (sp?) Also every sandwich comes with potato chips and a pickle. Great sandwiches. Haven't tried the soups or salads. Down home decor, colorful, antique bicycles mounted on the walls. Pleasant service. Great variety. Bread is always fresh and the portions are generous. Its just a plain old great inexpensive place to eat. We eat lunch there whenever we can. This place is located in a small town. I like it here... it feels n looks like da small town from Dumb n Dumber (da original) this place is nice and quaint. Its 2 stories. I sat at floor level which looks like it doubles as a thrift shop. Upper level looked low ceiling and cozy. I ordered wutever da gentleman suggested. It was a deli club wid all da veggies and some spicy dressing. It wasnt too spicy but added a nice kick 2it. da sandwhich is served wid Lay's original potatoe chips. Not bad for $6.50. I'm from Los Angeles so $6.50 is jus da price 4 coffee... in L.A. a sandwhich like dis runs around $9-$12.... i kno... krazy shit huh... $9+ for a damn sandwhich. Dis place is nice. While traveling in Montana we found Soma Dis and were very happy we did. Fresh, fast, quality ingredients and friendly service characterize this anomaly in Northeastern Montana where it's more common to find bar-burgers and greasy fries.
