I started the return process per the instructions for the "QR code return to a drop off place with no label or box". I got a response my item was not eligible for return, so I called customer service and was told they couldn't provide a QR code right now and that I had to do the "pack, label, and ship" method. The shirt came in a plastic bag which got ripped when opening, and got tossed, so have to purchase a container to ship it back, pay a $9.95 return fee, lose the shipping cost and sales tax, AND wait up to 72 hours for a label to be emailed to me. So this shirt I am returning is costing me at least $25 to return. I told them I would never order from them again. I think I will take it to a resale shop or just donate it somewhere. Lesson learned.

She had no desire to speak with me at all, much less try and help me with the discrepancy. I purchased two tops, so I'm not sure why she was so bothered. It may have been because the shoe box with the shoes I returned was beat up, broken and had a rubber band holding it together. However, they were shipped to me in that state and I was returning because they were too narrow. I likely would have shopped around more if she didn't make me feel so unwelcome. One other thing - the clothes at this store are not that affordable. The quality is not THAT good to afford such a rude employee. This visit to the store was a big disappointment for me, as I don't live close by.

Both my friend and I felt incredibly welcomed and a lack of judgement. It was a refreshing experience and I don't know why I was surprised. Maurices makes cute clothes for a variety of body types and sizes, and they recognize that everyone has a right to feel fabulous. He got me a variety of bean boot styles, heights, and sizes to try on to truly see which I liked best. After my research was complete, he found us back in the store to have me try one more boot that had my preferred size, width, height, and was on major sale! He never applied pressure for me to buy and actually recommended I put it on a hold if I wanted to think about it. He made sure I was well informed of my options and went above and beyond for me. I ended up coming back Sunday and bought the boots! Like many stores wanting to move merch out before new items arrive. Many items are priced aggressively, like 70 percent off, while some are 40 percent off. It's kind of a fun time too because there are Winter and holiday items priced low, but new merch for late Winter or Spring are just in and regularly priced. Clothing and apparel here is superior quality and made for long time wear. Last year, I found a women's belted trench coat here on sale for under $40 and I am sure I will have it for life. I must have been asked several times if I needed help finding anything and the store personnel are always friendly and helpful, without being aggressive. Bonus for being pet friendly, and having clean, spacious dressing rooms and customer restrooms on-site. If you bring your pups, It's a nice area to walk them outside, before or after you shop too.

Today, that meant absolutely nothing. I sent my daughter money through Venmo to buy items for me. When I went to return them, the store refused to refund my card or offer any kind of reasonable solution -- even after I explained that my daughter now lives in Columbia, MO and I was just trying to avoid the ridiculous hassle of shuffling money back and forth. No empathy. No flexibility. No effort. Just a cold, policy-over-people "no." What should have been a quick, human interaction turned into a frustrating, disappointing experience that left me feeling completely dismissed as a customer. After years of loyalty, Duluth didn't just lose a sale today -- they lost me for life. Extremely disappointed.

This store's staff is 75% of the time helpful, kind and happy to assist. The other 25% of the time, it's like they would rather be anywhere but there working. The quality of their clothing has gone down hill and not just a little...I mean, we have gone from jeans that would last me for years to "I think I could get the same quality at Walmart!" bad. Their corporate customer service is an absolute joke. If you have ever dealt with these script-reading-couldn't-care-less-about-the-customer fools, you know what I'm talking about. Bottom line, it's hard to find clothes that fit just right or lay just perfectly for a plus size woman and Lane Bryant used to fulfill the need in this industry that was severely lacking but much like other industries, I imagine, the cost of materials has increased, so they find ways to cut back and at the cost of customers, no less. I don't care what anyone says: you cannot buy clothes online! At least I can't. So if it's the convenience of online shopping that has affected this retailer or not, quality of the clothing and customer service is top on my list. Price is what it is.
