had a rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Somenek about four years ago, paying over $7,000 for the procedure. Unfortunately, I am very dissatisfied with my results. After fully healing, my nose looked nothing like what I had expected or discussed, and to this day, it barely appears as though I ever had rhinoplasty. I attempted to follow up with Dr. Somenek twice after surgery to express my concerns. His response was essentially that there was nothing more he could do. He attributed the lack of results to my thick skin due to my ethnicity, saying it made achieving my desired outcome difficult. However, I have since consulted with other board-certified surgeons who assured me that my skin type is not an obstacle and that the improvements I wanted were achievable. Beyond the cosmetic disappointment, I now also experience breathing difficulty on the left side of my nose, as if my nostril has partially collapsed over time. For the amount of money I invested, I feel my concerns were dismissed and excuses were made instead of solutions being offered. If you are considering rhinoplasty, especially as a patient of ethnic descent with thicker skin, I would strongly advise seeking other opinions. Before surgery, he said his computer was down, so he couldn't show me what he intended to do in my rhinoplasty. I look like a pig. He ruined my nose and ruined my life. I went to Dr. PIttman for a breast aumgmentation with lift. I have been putting off writing this review until my breast settled. I am now 7 months post surgery. I can confidently say that Dr. Pittman is not a skilled surgeon and I would warn anyone not to go to him. I went to Dr. Pittman for a routine breast implant with lift and my results are for from acceptable. My breast are assymtetrical, not at the same level, and I have a seious amount of scar tissue. I have consulted other plastic surgeons for a revision and they are shocked by the results of my first surgeon. Please do not go see this doctor. Dr. Somenek did my rhinoplasty and I am so happy with the results. This doctor listened to everything I wanted and didn't want and he delivered. My nose looks pretty spot on to the imaging he showed me in the consultation too. Aside from the aesthetic part, I am able to breathe wonderfully! Watch out Harry Potter, Dr. Pittman is a wizard with a blade! Hang in there w this review I promise it's worth it when making these life changing decisions. Let me start by sharing Ive been an ICU nurse for over a decade. I have also had multiple breast surgeries 3 being complicated reconstructions from surgeries gone wrong, my most recent in June 2022. This makes me uniquely qualified to give a review as a healthcare provider & patient. My most recent surgery was w another surgeon who completely botched it. I was left in terrible pain for 4 months, severely bruised & my left breast bottomed out & laterally displaced w/in 3 days post-op. I'll spare the rest of the details, but I decided then I would find another surgeon to do the revision. Not easy on a nurses salary, but I felt it necessary. I had a consult w Dr. Pitmann, I liked him immediately. He was so friendly yet, no nonsense. He didn't tell me what I wanted to hear, but what I needed to hear, which is what I expect in a surgeon. Needless to say I left w surgery scheduled. I made the right choice! The team listened to my concerns & planned accordingly. I'm hypersensitive to post-op pain, which has landed me back in hospital post-op & barely had pain at all! The pain regimen was perfect & I was off meds w/in a wk. I had NO BRUISING & very little swelling w a complicated surgery that's always had both. The whole team, offices & surgical suite are excellent. I felt very comfortable in their care & actually prefer their surgical suite over a hospital setting & that's coming from someone who works in hospital. Dr Pittman excelled when other doctors either didn't want to try or others completely fumbled it. As stated, I was not an easy case. I had almost given up hope until Dr Pittman. I owe him so much & love the results! I will be forever grateful. I'd recommend him to family & friends w/o hesitation & any future endeavors will absolutely be w Somenek & Pittman! I am so surprised to see some of these reviews! I visited Dr Somenek based off of two raving reviews from my sister and a very good friend of mine, there injections look fantastic so I headed in to see Dr. Somenek myself. I was absolutely terrified because this was the first time I was having anything done as far as a cosmetic procedure, and the doctor and his staff where absolutely wonderful. I couldn't be happier with my results and I am so thankful the doctor gave me natural recommendations for the different fillers that I was going to be using, instead of looking like a completely plastic and no movement and being frozen it just looks like I have had some outstanding rest and a great long vacation! On Friday, June 21, 2019 I was badly burned while receiving TruSculpt treatment at Somenek + Pittman MD. I experienced severe pain and tingling sensation. One of the burns was deep and leaking. Stephany Arada committed negligence and me for the duration of the treatment. I pleaded that I was burning and nothing was done to stop my suffering. After the treatment, I explained how much pain I was in and they ignored me. I called Dr. Somenek's office and said I wanted to return to the office and get relief treatment. Stephany Arada came on the line and she told me that Dr. Somenek thinks the energy pack wasn't attached properly because the area wasn't shaven so all the excess heat concentrated there and burned me. Stephany said the treatment would get very hot. She set me up then left the room to go check up on another patient. During this time I was alone in the room it was getting scalding hot like pin drops of boiling water dripping on my back. Minutes later Stephany came back in the room and I kept saying I was getting too hot. My body was jerking and flinching from the pain and I asked Stephany for an ice roller. She left the room and got fan and ice roller and then even an ice-pack but I still kept feeling the burning heat. I wanted to return to your office and get treated so that my skin is properly repaired and I can avoid lasting scars. When I talked to Stephany, she just told me Dr. Somenek says I should take Neosporin, take photos during my trip, and visit you when I return from my trip to India. Really? Is this how you treat all your customers or just me. It's obvious to me that Somenek and Pittman didn't value my business and didn't see the urgency in this matter. What they should have done is ask me to return today and apply hydration cream for dermal repair in the areas I was burned. But they didn't offer anything even after I asked them politely several times. I also didn't appreciate how dismissive Dr. Somenek was when I reminded him about a previous treatment how he forgot to thin out the lump on my lip and the one under my eyes from a poor filler job during the facial procedures from the previous day. Sheena, when we booked the facial procedures we agreed that this would be treated in the package that I paid for. Dr. Somenek said, "We'll treat it when you come next time." But I wanted this done for my trip to India. And it only would have taken two minutes for him to correct this easy fix but he chose not to. Dr. Somenek could care less about patient satisfaction. I traveled to India for my book launch with burns on my back and the lumps on my face that didn't get treated. I asked if they could use the lasers in their office to provide corrective treatment for the burns they gave me. They refused. They also refused to compensate me for my burns. Instead, Somenek told me that the scars will fade away and he also said, "It's not like your back is spotless anyways. The scars blend with your acne and hair and tone of your skin." I found his comment to be insensitive and racist. I do not recommend Somenek or Pittman for your cosmetic needs. You're better off to take your business elsewhere. read more

First, everyone at this practice is so nice! No one makes you feel weird or has an attitude. Ariel and Mara at reception are absolute professionals. I have had two appointments here. The first was for a B12 shot; everything went smoothly! The second was a dermal infusion facial with Ashley. Ashley is the best esthetician I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Went back to fix the problems and lumps the dr. himself caused, several times. Each time he charged $1500 and made matters worse blaming me. I finally gave up. I look terrible from what he has done and have impaired vision, which i previously did not have. Spent over $4000. He kept dissolving the lumps he created, then charging to refill and he created more lumps. I hope to find someone to dissolve his work to get out these lumps. I hope to find someone to fix my vision--before this i had 20-20 vision and i have documentation to prove this. Im very upset. I really wanted it to work out. When i told the doctor that now my vision has become impaired from this procedure he said "anything for beauty right." 1. All of It looks terrible 2. Impaired vision is serious not a joke. 3. I had the SomenekMD Signature lift in July 2018. This was meant to be mostly preventative and to rejuvenate and tighten the skin on both my face and neck. This procedure is advertised as "scar free." I can assure you, I have terrible scarring on my neck from being burned during the Facetite portion of the procedure. Dr. Somenek tried to "fix" the discoloration with a laser and the subdermal scars with Sculptra. As a result of this experience, my neck looks 20 years older and I now have extra padding and little lumps from the Sculptra. I have had several consultations to find a way to repair the damage. There aren't many options, short of a neck lift, which was what I was trying to avoid by having the procedure in the first place. read more

This is my first-ever review on Yelp. I really dislike putting out any negativity out there but I feel compelled to share so that others might avoid the very distressing months-long ordeal I had with Dr Somenek. First let me start with what's good: Dr. S is very personable and his staff are extremely sweet. What's not so good: Dr. S is incompetent at performing under-eye filler, at least in my case! I ultimately spent ~$2,500 to have him perform and then "fix" a botched under-eye filler procedure that he did in late 2019, only to emerge from the saga with lumpy, bumpy orbits streaked through with the unmistakable Tyndall effect. Don't know what that is? Tyndall effect is when you can see the blueish tint of filler under your skin because it has been injected too superficially. Super sloppy and should never happen with any semi-skilled technician. And the cash outlay says nothing of the time spent driving to and fro from 10+ different appointments during that time period. And the cash and the time together say nothing about the mental toll of feeling like someone just disfigured your face. Dr S did the first procedure in late 2019. It was my first time getting under-eye filler and I chose him based on his positive reviews. At first, everything seemed cool. But the following summer I started to notice some small blueish lumps on the inner corner of my right eye. I thought it was a ruptured blood vessel so I went to my local derm. She said, no, that has nothing to do with a blood vessel, that is filler that has migrated. Well the only person who had ever injected filler under my eyes was Dr. Somenek. So I returned to his office in November 2020 for a follow-up. He graciously offered to try and dissolve the filler lumps with hyaluronidase. We had to repeat that procedure three times before there was an incremental improvement, at which point Dr S said he would not do anymore (whether that was because of the cost to him or because he didn't see any additional marginal benefit, was unclear). Predictably, all that hyaluronidase left a pretty deep hollow so I agreed to have that touched up with a syringe of Rystalene Silk. It made no noticeable difference so I went in for a follow-up. Dr S suggested that if I wanted better results we should do an additional, full syringe. And that's when things got really fun! I looked like someone had inserted a fat slug under the skin under my eye. Talk about over-filled! Staff said not to worry, give it two weeks. Two weeks and I still couldn't believe what was going on so I went in for a follow-up, after first sending in some pictures for Dr S to review. What happened next was really lame: Rather than cop to his shoddy work, he essentially gas-lighted me and said that the pics I sent were taken in bad light and did not accurately showcase the results. Honey, I want to look good in ANY light, thank you very much! Anyway, he dissolved some of the filler, and I returned two more times for additional dissolve sessions. Now we are 6 months post my first follow-up in November 2020 and I am still totally dissatisfied with the outcome. I have gone to a specialist for a second opinion, and they were frankly shocked by the sloppiness. I wrote to Dr S this week letting him know I was very unhappy with his work and asked for at least a partial refund, a free Botox sesh, anything. His staff wrote back that I am welcome to come in to have the filler completely dissolved. $2,500 and months of distress only to be brought back to Square 1? Nah, don't think so. Luckily, I am blessed across the board so while this is vexing I will be fine. Really, it's a reminder that I am perfect and should not be messing with the Universe's creation! Nevertheless, DON'T LET DR SOMENEK TOUCH YOUR FACE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. xox :-) read more

I was so impressed with Dr. Somenek and his office. The lobby was open and welcoming. His front office staff went out of their way to accommodate me and make sure I was comfortable. I especially appreciated their paperless "paperwork" - patient forms were completed on an iPad. Patient rooms were sparkling clean, as was their equipment. I felt very comfortable being treated there. Dr. Somenek's bedside manner was calm, assuring, and confident - definitely attributes you want in someone who is handling your face! He educated me on several treatment options and allowed me plenty of time to ask questions; I never felt rushed. He has a nice bedside manner, and his office is clean and chic, but after having tried several injectors in the DC area, I don't think that Dr. Somenek's skill set is anything particularly special.
