I was pleasantly surprised, however, to find that after signing in I waited for a minimal amount of time in the waiting area (10-15 minutes) and again in the actual room (5-10 minutes) and that they were able to take care of it immediately. I was given several choices in how I wanted to proceed, along with the risks, potential outcomes, and her initial assessment, and then she immediately removed the offensive thing. I received a call a couple of days later with the results (benign!) and am going in tomorrow to have the sutures taken out. The whole thing was surprisingly quick and efficient and I'm so relieved that I finally went in to get this taken care of. So far the area is healing nicely and it doesn't look like I will even have a scar.

This Dr injected the filler into above my upper lip directly skipping my actual lip line. It was the most painful experience I think in a Drs office and as I wriggled and squirmed and cried in the chair in pain she kept going with the injection. Even her assistants tried to pin me to the chair. I looked hideous afterward with my area between nose and lip all filled with injection fluid and bruising. FYI her office doesn't even offer a refund if you don't like it. I will never be returning. Waste of over 500$. I think this also could warrant a malpractice claim.

Some places I've gone to prior have felt like they were just selling products and wanted to prescribe me monthly appointments without explanation on what was truly going on with my skin. Coming across Capital Laser and nurse Jane, I felt truly cared for, taken care of, and empathized with. As I had no knowledge of what laser treatment procedures were like, I was quite nervous on what to expect. But Jane walked me every step of the way without me even asking, and it eased all my anxieties throughout the process. My skin is very delicate and Jane made sure to be incredibly diligent and careful, she ran multiple test pulses to watch how my skin would react before deciding on how to proceed with the full treatment. There was never a moment of doubt or fear as Jane continuously guided me verbally on the direction she was taking while treating me. A few weeks post treatment, my skin is glowing for the first time in the longest time. Having such amazing results just from my first round of treatment really shows the quality of this facility and its experts, and I already look forward to coming back! The front desk rep, Michelle Ting, also creates a warm and welcoming ambiance to ensure that from the moment you enter, that you'll be in good & honest hands :)

My daughter is a dermatologist and recommended Dr. Hendi to me after extensively researching MOHS surgeons in my area of the country. Dr. Hendi's office is a good two-hour drive from my home, but it was well worth the effort to get there. His practice is located in a very nice suburb of Washington D.C., and there is a Marriott Courtyard just down the street from Dr. Hendi's office, (a very short walk away). I booked a room in the Marriott since my surgery was scheduled to begin early in the morning and I didn't want to fight rush-hour traffic. There is a Metro station (again, a short walking distance away), so we rode into the city for a nice dinner the evening before my procedure. The hotel was very accommodating about allowing a late check-out the next afternoon. Dr. Hendi's office and waiting area are very well-appointed and comfortable, but being able to walk back and lie down following the procedure while waiting for the staining process to be completed, (to ensure no additional tissue needed to be removed -- a lengthy process), was a real advantage. I cannot say enough about Dr. Hendi's skills. I had MOHS surgery on my cheek on August 21, 2019. The area that had to be removed was much larger than I imagined it would be and I fully expected some evidence of the surgery to remain forever given the amount of tissue that had to be removed. When planning the placement of sutures to close the wound, Dr. Hendi had me smile and make normal facial expressions while he planned and drew a pattern for his sutures on my cheek. Now, just a little over a month later the wound is fully closed, and even family members can't tell that anything happened unless I point out the area. I have started the massage procedure that Dr. Hendi included in his very comprehensive and easy to follow post-surgery instructions. His assistant assured me that after following the massage regimen, no one but Dr. Hendi, his staff and myself will ever know anything happened. I fully believe that, although with the way the wound has currently healed I am perfectly satisfied if this is as good as it gets! I hope that I have developed enough renewed respect for sunscreen that I never need MOHS surgery again, but if I do there is only one place I will be going for the procedure, regardless of where I live or how long a flight I have to make.... Dr. Hendi and his crew are that good!

Dr. Ginn and everyone else who works with her have always been kind, patient, and thoughtful. I also appreciate how Dr. Ginn grows the careers of those who work with her. This doctor's office is the only one where I feel like everyone remembers who I am (whether I call or come in), which is a testament to Dr. Ginn's leadership and vision for her office. Dr. Ginn listens to her patients well. I was adamant that I didn't want to take oral medication. Later, when I wanted to be off all antibiotics, including topical ones, she found a way to make that work. I am so grateful that I found Dr. Ginn. I have never been one to wear makeup and I get many compliments on my complexion. Three important notes: 1) The products are pricey. Two people I know initially recommended Dr. Ginn to me and their skin was radiant. They told me that Dr. Ginn's methods were more expensive than traditional dermatologists. Still, on my initial visit, I had sticker shock. Dr. Ginn recommended a lot of products to me, which she sells. I told her I would think about it and come back to purchase. I looked online and found that the products were similarly priced so I went back to Dr. Ginn and purchased; I haven't questioned her since. The products are expensive but they last a long time. I think about it like I'm investing in my skin's future, especially now that she's moved me onto a lot of anti-aging concoctions. 2) If you are coming to Dr. Ginn for skin care, as I do, and have trouble following regimens or want to use all of your own products, then Dr. Ginn probably isn't for you. My full regimen takes about five minutes each morning and night, and it involves 7-10 different products. 3) I have always had to wait about 10 minutes for my appointment even when I arrive a few minutes early. If you are prepared to wait and do not have to be somewhere right after your appointment then you will do well with Dr. Ginn. The upside to the waiting is that I have never felt rushed before, during, or after my appointments. The vibe of the office is very relaxing and serene.

First and foremost: Dr. Dellatorre is literally one of the most gifted physicians I have ever seen…read more(I'm 40, so I've seen a lot). As far as dermatology goes, he is far and above the most thorough, knowledgeable, and caring of the handful I've seen in the DC area. It is no exaggeration to say that his diagnoses have saved my life (skin cancer and full successful treatment diagnosis in very early stage). Additionally, he is easily the most thorough dermatologist one can see for skin checks. I leave every time knowing I am fully aware of what's going on. On the flip side, his office staff is - and this too is no exaggeration - horrible. One woman...God love her...has been working there for decades; she has absolutely no customer service skills, patience, or tact. A number of times I've been cut off mid-sentence...when answering a question she asked of me...and immediately put on hold. Further, Dr. Dellatorre's office regularly gets so overbooked that sometimes people literally wait for over 2 hours beyond their appointment time before being seen, as has happened to me more times than I can count. Records are also still (as much as a year ago...perhaps it has changed) paper-based. When I asked said woman for copies of some of my records I was given photocopies of Dr. Dellatorre's hand-written 3x5 index cards. That wasn't much help to me or the other doctor I had to see. That said, my health and wellness is worth that [sometimes atrocious] shortfall, considering Dr. Dellatorre's caring and capability. I never feel rushed by him (which if there's a cause for overbooking delays is the one I want) and he treats his patience with 1-on-1 personal care that is hard to find in any physician these days. If he weren't such a darn good doctor, I'd rate the practice a 2 simply because of the poor office support. But, as Jon K. said, he is indeed a rockstar.
