If you are a parent like I am, who wants you kids to be seen by experts who also treat your kids with respect and care, this is your new dentist/orthodontist. When we moved to Westchester from the city about 8+ years ago we went to three different dentists to have our kids teeth cleaned. In each instance the dentist was fine, not terrific, their bedside manner was ambivalent at best, and they pretty much treated my kids as cogs on an assembly line. It got so bad that my youngest would get ill before going to the dentist. When my youngest had to have a tooth filled and the (FORMER) dentist brought out physical restraints for the procedure, I knew we were in the wrong hands. A generous neighbor recommended Valley and we never looked back. Both kids have seen dentists and orthodontists at the practice and their treatment is bar none. The kids have had braces and cleanings and fluoride treatments and fillings and go in with the same big smiles as when they walk out. The office staff are equally impressive and so generous with their time and support. When you walk in the door you are treated like family. When you call, you are treated like a person. No complicated phone systems or medical runarounds like so many other medical groups these days. Just smart people who care about what they do and actually like their patients. He went into long detail about the time frames for both reimbursements, and which would be bigger. Despite that, he asked me to pay in full ahead of time. I had to repeatedly nag them to actually submit for insurance. When they finally did months later, both dental and medical denied the claims, saying he was not in network for the procedure he performed. While I don't know for sure, I suspect that the office knew that ahead of time, given that they 1) asked me to pay in full in advance, and 2) didn't bother submitting for insurance until I repeatedly nagged them to do so.

Dr Delaney was great with our kids...but beware of their billing and what they actually submit to…read moreyour insurance and your out of pocket costs. My child had multiple fillings and chose the anesthesia route after discussing with the Doctor due to the amount of work. The billing staff identified a "deposit" to hold the appointment which they said would be credited to the final bill. It was not until after the procedure we were told (and shown a blank form we never signed) that it was a non-refundable office expense. Dr Delaney is part of our dental plan (Metlife) and they refused to submit the extra cost (as it not permitted as part of their contract with Metlife Dental). After much complaining, they to the billing department they finally submitted to insurance, but over inflated the cost from $300 to $1300. We identified the issue to the billing and they "re-submitted" the claim 2x times for the same $1300 amount. Billing department was completely unhelpful and actually became aggressive when we asked them to submit to Metlife properly. We paid over $700 out of pocket for covered expenses which they refused to properly bill. Just beware if it more than a routine checkup, watch out for artificial and over-inflated out of pocket costs.

I recently had to have a tooth extracted and, agreed to an implant. Dr Babayev's extraction and procedure for the implant were painless both during and after. I did not have swelling or pain. I appreciated his honesty and explanation as to where/why I needed an implant. I gave review 5 stars for them. And while the work I had done by Dr Isaacs looks great and, he provided an explanation for what he thought was best, I waited 45 minutes in the chair for him without an apology or introduction. He did not address me as a patient, having discussions with staff during my dental work. He then 'gave me a break'? I didn't ask for so, I was quite late for work.

He went and accused me of going there for a second opinion which he rudely said he doesn't do. I repeated to him that he needs to read the referral letter as it clearly says it's for his opinion to evaluate me. He insisted that it said that it said to pull as that was exactly what it says. Then he went onto tell me his procedure which he explained that he does bone graft which I explained that I wasn't interested in bone graft and he said that bone graft is required for every implant. I i formed him that I was under the impression that a 3d scanner was required to evaluate the bone and he gave a snappy response saying what kinda dentist did I go to as if I went to a crappie dentist and that they must of put bone graft and just didn't tell me. In all honesty I think it's low class to try and bad mouth other establishments as if your own establishment is not top shelf as well, this guy gives the impression as a fast talking salesman rather then an oral surgeon trying to make 1600 dollars on bone grafting. Sitting on top of a crappie restaurant has gotten to this Oral surgeons head that he needs to be opinionated on other establishments and outright lie to make a sale. It is well documented in the implant industry that it's 50/50 for the need for bone grafting. Im not to keen to having some deceased person bone in my mouth

She has anxiety and he made her feel so comfortable. He patiently explained what he was doing, answered her 90 questions and we were in and out of there pretty quickly. No more pain. The funny part is - and I hope you are reading this Dr F- earlier in the day out of desperation-when I found out he was on vaca and my daughter was in pain, I briefly called another dentist who told me they could see me but I would have to switch permanently. I reported this to my 10 year old daughter and asked her what she wanted to do. Through her severe pain she replied, "No. I don't want to switch. I really like Dr Frankel". Within a few minutes Dr Frankel called and responded to message but you have to wonder- a 10 year old would rather put up with severe pain than switch doctors?!! What does that day about Dr Frankel.
