During my visit, I spoke with a salesman about flooring options and next steps if I wanted to go with one of the tile flooring options. I was told I needed to set-up an appointment with Dave, the contractor for a measurements + an estimate. I am really not a fan of businesses that like to farm out their contracting to outside parties because things never seem to go smoothly when the company isn't involved in the entire process. I received a call from Dave, on Monday 7/25 at 4:12 pm. He asked if he could swing by. I explained that the home we recently purchased is an hour away from where we live currently and I wasn't in the area. I was over an hour away at my other home. I asked Dave if we could set up an appointment for Thursday. Dave said we could. I received a call from Dave on Thursday at 11:58 pm. He told me he had just wrapped up a job and he was available for the rest of the day. I asked if 2 pm was good. He told me 2 pm wouldn't work. At this point, I am thinking I have to be on candid camera because he just told me he was available, but when I mentioned a time, the time didn't work. So, I told Dave I would be available the next day, which was Friday between 2:30-4:00 pm. When did Dave call?? 5:45 pm on Friday. Needless to say, I visited Lomax today to obtain a refund for services not rendered. I don't think Lomax is a bad place to buy flooring from. However, I do believe that they are losing customers and business because of their contractors lack of professionalism

Pat knew this, and knew I couldn't source through him, but was extremely helpful and knowledgeable showing me around the store. He helped educate me on the differences between the options I've already selected, helped order me samples to see the difference in shades, and helped explain that Lomax is the price leader and will match competitors up to 150% with free install over a certain sq footage.... I think that was the right number? He even explained that lots of new construction owners will go with standard included options and hire Lomax to rip out and install superior products cheaper than what the builder would have charged. Really impressed with his level of support, and plan to follow up to put flooring in our unfinished spaces.

DO NOT USE THIS "COMPANY" - I would give ZERO stars if possible. They installed a fence and gate in…read moreour yard, and the gate sagged immediately. We called and they came right out and "fixed" the gate - however that meant tightening the top screws so close together that they rubbed and made marks on the post. The "fixed" gate was lopsided and the post it was attached to was and still is loose and wobbly. After explaining that we were holding payment until the gate was properly fixed, this "company" came AND REMOVED THE GATE WITHOUT TELLING US. When we called, we were told removed the gate from our contract because we were unsatisfied so now the contract is complete .... unacceptable. NOTE: this is VERY similar to the situation that happened with our neighbor and the same company.

I would give this zero stars if that were possible. I don't even know where to begin with this…read more"company." For days they promised they would complete the work after pushing back our dates of installation (we contacted them and paid them half in May.) Never showed when they said they would, until finally, after literally having to harass them continually for days, they appeared with the lumber . The excuses leading up to that were: "keys were locked out of our vehicle... we will be there soon"... and never showed. The next day after calling repeatedly, our lumber "flew off the the truck and smashed into a car's windshield." Then when they FINALLY appeared with the lumber a few days LATER, they worked for an hour, left and never returned. They apologized via text and promised (and I quote) "we will be there first thing in the morning- no IFS ANDS OR BUTS".... low and behold nothing... finally they responded to our continuous texts at 3 pm saying someone died(?!) but they would definitely come to finish the job in the dark. We had a pool installed and a fence is quite necessary to pass our inspection with the township. We have been understanding to a fault with these people. Now, lumber is still sitting in our yard, left to kill our grass. They made off with half the total of the cost, and gave us nothing but lies, grief and aggravation. I will tell EVERYONE I know to run for the hills from these people and to NEVER hire them. It was the most absurd, unprofessional (often times comical- we'd sit at night literally laughing about the cockamamie stories they'd feed us.) They didn't even use a power auger(?!)- how do you run a fence company without one. It's now Sunday- haven't heard a peep and the half-assed fence portions are still sitting on our property. Mind you- this project was merely to install 2 small sections of fence. Please do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. I will be telling everyone I know about our experience. Oh and they were dropping the f bomb in front of our neighbors' little children. Now calling demanding we pay them more (even though it states clearly in the contract, the down payment was for the cost of the material) or they'll come rip down the pieces that are now standing. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse. I have all of their texts, and as a gesture of decency, I decided not to post them, since they're date and time stamped, apologizing and consistently saying, "first thing tomorrow!" In fact, the last text we got was "we will finish the fence in the dark so you don't have pieces of lumber on your yard over the holiday weekend." Needless to say, we never saw or heard another thing until we fired them on Sunday- then they started demanding more money!
