A number of years ago I switched from being a long time client at another dentist office. I had no concerns with this dental clinic but decided to find one closer to home. I was not disappointed with my decision to change dental practices. The staff have all been great. At my most recent visit, Melanie took care of me. She really deserves a shout out. About a month ago, that neglect finally caught up with me and forced me to see a dentist (a new one, but that's the subject of another review). I was told that there was too much gone and that it couldn't be saved, so I was referred to Face Forward. I should say that about 4 years ago, I had another molar removed by a general dentist and it did not go well. It took about 45 minutes and was not pleasant. So I went with more than a bit of apprehension. However, my apprehension was sadly misplaced. The room was set up not unlike a medical surgery, lots of hard surfaces easy to keep clean. The place has 3 or 4 of these with one having its own extremely competent assistant. The surgeon went from theatre to theatre doing his thing. After I was prepped and "profoundly frozen", the surgeon came in to do his thing. 6 minutes later it always all over. What a difference a specialist makes! I still can't believe it was finished that quickly. The only quibble I have is that they make you pay up front and then send the paperwork into the insurance company. As far as the facility and work is concerned, highly recommended.

(they would be booking after new years.) In the meantime, a long time patient of Westpointe suggested that I call. Within minutes I had a call back; they assessed the situation and offered to meet me at the office in approximately 30 minutes (it was the evening, and i'm willing to bet that i screwed up boxing day dinner pretty darned well). A Dentist and a Nurse met me exactly when they said they would. They took X-rays, were super kind and gentle, called in a prescription, booked me an appointment after the medication had time to take effect, gave me an antibacterial rinse and an new toothbrush, and then told me not to worry about the bill, that i'd hear from them after new years. I worried my self sick over that period trying to estimate if i had to sell one of my kids, or maybe the whole house. when i went for my next appointment i could not have been more shocked. The bill was approximately $150. shocked. I went back to Westpointe, and I would suggest that if you are looking for superior service, kind people, and excellent dental assistance, that you give them a try. Ps: He saved my tooth.

Beware of Ranchlands Dental (RD) when they act on your behalf for a dental claim with CDCP. My…read moreclaim was rejected by CDCP and RD advised me of the amount to pay for the procedure and offered a payment plan. I contacted CDCP directly and they immediately told me to have RD resubmit the claim with further details for "fresh eyes" to review my claim. After the resubmission, CDCP accepted my claim! RD never offered to resubmit my claim to CDCP and save me the cost of paying for the procedure myself. At the same time, RD front staff member, Fatemeh, did not provide professional kind service, hung up on me and left me in tears. I ended up leaving RD and having my dental work done at another dental office. Note: all active claims with the CDCP stay with the patient, not the dental office so it was easy to move on to a more caring dental office - one that has well-trained staff and one that takes the upmost care in saving patients money wherever possible.

They allowed the technician to remove braces from my daughter's teeth that resulted in chipping off a piece of enamel which they are denying and she has been in pain ever since. This is going to result in a root canal which we have to fork more money out for. We have since found out that most orthodontists remove braces themselves and don't allow the technicians to do this. And then taking the only appointment that they had available this month. The service here is impeccable. The receptionist was professional and friendly, and the dentist goes through a series of background questions first about you and your overall health before the exam. The hygienist probably has one of the least popular jobs there but explained a lot of things related to teeth and gum health that I never thought about before, that were really interesting. She also used this numbing paste on my gums to help reduce the pain, and offered me Advil afterwards if I needed it for pain management. I also left with some free toothbrushes, rinse, floss and a lip balm (made of all natural ingredients). So why 4 stars and not 5? It was damn expensive. Or at least, in my opinion. I've been a regular dentist visitor in my adult life and never seen a bill over $200 or $300 before, and at the end of my visit I was presented with a bill for $600 for the exam, two x-rays and an hour of intensive cleaning. PS: This place is located upstairs, look for the tiny sign and stairs next to Wow Chicken on 10th.

Not only were they able to accommodate a date switch due to an initial insurance coverage issue for me, but for someone who has a slight phobia of dental offices (and as such, has not been there in many years), they were also able to make me feel welcome and at ease throughout the process. Doctor Van Blaricom and his assistant, Wendy, were thorough and friendly, and great at explaining the reasons why they were doing and checking what they were. In addition, there was no judgement at all from either one as to my long stretch between visits, their main concern was to get me back on track, fixing the minor issues that were present. After a few suggestions for at-home dental care, I was easily booked into the next few appointments, all within the next few weeks. I was well attended to, everyone was extremely nice and approachable, and my hesitation for going to the dentist is gone! Recently had to get a new crown on a back tooth. When I went to Dr. Popp I was expecting the usual…read more2 or 3 visits to get it done due to lab work, etc. But Dr. Popp has a machine which carves the tooth in 5 minutes while you wait. Everything was done in one visit. Fantastic!
