There are not enough stars for this operation! High class, high integrity, fair priced boat and engine marine shop. They took over from another engine shop in northern Utah That completely screwed me over. After charging me double for an engine rebuild and then completely botching up the job itself, leaving me stranded on the water after two hours of use, I took it to Tyler and company at Sommerviland and they got it fixed in a timely manner at half the cost. I brought my car in because I was having issues with my tires. After an inspection, it was brought to my attention that my whole front end was failing. After my front end was replaced, I was still having some problems. These guys checked every inch and eventually found and fixed what was causing these issues! There was so much going on with my car but these guys were very determined to get her fixed up! They did such a great job and now it feels like I am driving a brand new car! On top of amazing auto service, their customer service was what sealed the deal! Throughout this process, these guys maintained great communication and were very easy to work with. Sommerville Auto and Marine has kept my vehicle for four months to where I finally had to just say give me my vehicle back. It was completely torn a part. They have said it's fixed twice and I've had to take it back because it's not fixed After four months it is still not fixed. It was an air-conditioning issue that they were unable to fix and I paid them $2400 and they refuse to warranty their work or parts. I had to buy a new compressor and new condenser And I just found out today that without telling me, they had actually gotten two compressors. They had taken my car completely apart. They never once during that time called to give my any updates I have had to be the one to call them. They gave me a receipt of what work they had done and it doesn't match what they took out of my bank account. They said it was because it was a credit card charge but I don't even own a credit card. Please do not go to them they are not honest and they do not warrantee their work or their labor. Who know how long they would have kept my vehicle if I hadn't said enough is enough. read more

These guys totally saved our vacation. We were on the way to Lake Powell when I manged to find a cement pillar with our boat trailer. At that point I really thought our vacation was over. The axles on the trailer had been shoved so far back on one side that our rig nearly required two lanes to drive the mile to Somerville. However, in less than three hours the kind folks at Somfixed fixed the trailer to where you could barely tell any damage ever occured. Furthermore they did so for a very reasonable price. I'm typing this from our hotel in Page and after 3hrs of road testing I can say the trailer pulls better now than it did when it was new. Five stars all the way. Thank you guys so much! read more

I had an engine blow in my 2017 Hyundai Veloster and the dealer was quoting me just south of 10k to get it replaced. The car was only worth about 12k. I brought it here and they gave me an actual good quote that was half of what the dealer wanted to fix it. They also gave me a lot of tips of how best to take care of my vehicle which is just unheard of from a lot of mechanics (they make money off your problems after all). I highly recommend these guys. Some of the best people you will ever meet and they will treat your car right and for a fair price. Generally the people leaving bad reviews are the ones that didn't take good care of the vehicle and were expecting a cheap fix. If you don't take care of your vehicle, expect to pay $$$$$$, don't blame the mechanic for your failure to maintain your own vehicle. They can't do work for free, they will go out of business. The one bad review on here was very vague and didn't explain what happened at all. I would take it with a grain of salt. This is the only shop I would trust to work on my vehicles. I have an old boat with a Volvo engine. They don't make parts for the engine. Sommerville scoured the internet looking for replacements and retrofit options. Unfortunately there are none. I was amazed at the effort expended for a boat that in the end is unfixable. Thanks Sommerville! read more

Spent $ 405 on a power trim and tilt rebuild. Picked it up and it didn't work. They immediately blamed on a 3rd party because they sent it out for repair. Hmm, the sign says, Somerville automotive and Marine repair. Went back to pick it up them saying that it is working, BUT YOU NEED A NEW MOTOR. I,m confused, what the H@@L does rebuild mean. Anyway I paid their fee and ordered and installed the new motor myself. Buyer beware. Not a good place and their business looks like a junkyard, very unprofessional. read more

Very dishonest place. Multiple chance to fix the problem never did the right thing after talking to a few other previous customers that also will never go here again same scam almost to a T. Fixed the car a few weeks later problems with the engine. Oh and they just happen to have this engine that will work after dropping 1000k to fix it in the 1st place. I've bounced around 4-5 different shops over the years, never really happy with the repair business or trusting the opinion and quality of work. I found Somerville and have been going back for the last 7 years. They work on all my vehicles, my boat, my toys(dirt bike and side/side). They get it. They don't fix things that aren't broken, they give me a straight story and haven't charged anything outrageous. They run the shop the way I would run a shop. read more

Stay away from this place!! the place is always a mess looks more like a junkyard. Took my truck in for a simple brake job and they had my truck for a week when they said they would have it back next day. My calls were never returned and when i called i was treated very rudely by tyler, He told me they had better things to do then sit on the phone and call people.
