I can't believe its taken me this long to write a review, but I was reminded of this because I was…read moreat a wedding this past weekend where I saw another photobooth's final product print and was appalled at the quality. I must say that one of the things I like most about Snapshot moments is not only the design of the print, but the quality of it as well. Its not cheap photo paper nor something of the level you print out at home. Its serious quality paper like if you were to get something printed at a storefront. Kimson also does an amazing job with designing creative templates. I used him for both my kid's birthday parties this year and of course it was a hit. I think my 4-yr-old is addicted to photobooths now. I've gonna to enough parties and weddings now to know a quality photobooth when I see it. Oh - not to mention that I like the concept of an "open air" booth. Its leaves more space for movement and getting lots of people in. I also prefer the 4x6 design/prints that he offers - instead of doing the typical smaller strips. I can't rave enough about SnapShots. Looking forward to using him again next year!

We…read morehave done the other sailing cruise from Annapolis several times, but this was so much more enjoyable. The boat is a historic vessel, the crew is knowledgeable and friendly, and they really put in a lot of effort to make it an amazing experience. We boarded at 7:15 pm, received the safety briefing from the captain, and learned the history about skipjacks oystering on the Bay. The ticket price included drinks (a nice selection of beers, wines, soda, and hard seltzer). Music (oldies favorites) was playing. They had prepared little goodie bags that included swag like little pinwheels and glowsticks and a bagged snack. They also passed out individual small charcuterie boxes with skewers of meat, cheese, and olives, plus a separate container of tiny crackers. The captain let people help the crew unfurl the sail, and he took us way out to see a visiting frigate. There were views of the Bay Bridge and lots of other sights. Around 9 pm, the boat was back in position for a great view of the fireworks. There is nothing like seeing the fireworks from the water. And the ticket cost goes to a good cause--maritime education and preserving this unique vessel.

Prior to booking, Mary took the time to answer all of my questions and to understand what I was hoping to achieve. She also provided several recommendations such as when to feed the baby, how to keep the baby calm, make-up, studio session timeline, etc. which allowed us to achieve the best-results. There were no surprises! When we arrived, we knew exactly what to expect. Her attention to detail and thorough consultation prior to the actual shoot allowed for an effective and efficient shoot. The shoot: The studio has ample parking and it was easy to access her studio. The session started promptly upon our arrival. She has an extensive selection of props for the shoot and costumes for mommy and baby. I appreciate that she checked in with me throughout the shoot to make sure that I was happy with her outfit selections and color combinations for our baby. Mary was sure to handle our baby with the utmost care and she also had an assistant. As a first-time mom, it can be nerve wrecking to entrust your baby with someone. I even learned a few soothing techniques from Mary that we leverage today. She did an excellent job of coordinating the family portion of the shoot and provided excellent posing guidance. Gallery delivery: It was easy to select photos for editing. We were really happy with our final gallery and the timeliness of the delivery. Mary is talented, pleasant, and professional. We felt great warmth during our session! We enjoyed working with her and had a positive experience from beginning to end!

Our overall maternity shoot with Mary Bosotu Photography was an experience we won't forget, but not in the memorable way we were anticipating. Would not recommend...4/10. Mary Bosotu Photography came highly recommended by a family member so when my first choice was booked solid I reached out for Mary's availability. Her business appealed to me because of her variety of dress offerings and photos of previous clients in her social media page. Her assistant Vivian was amazing and very timely in answering emails. However after paying the initial deposit Mary was harder to reach which I totally understood and gave time before following up. Five days prior to the scheduled photoshoot, late October 2021, I was finally able to speak with Mary on the phone for a consultation. She seemed pleasant enough on the phone and answered all of questions. Fast forward to the day of the maternity shoot we were running about 15 mins behind. I called and texted Mary about 45 mins prior and recieved no answer. Upon pulling up to her home we were unsure where to park so again I called but no answer. We happened to see a woman staring at us from her driveway so we stopped and asked if she was Mary. She stated yes and told us where to go very flatly. The lackluster greeting and non response to calls made me a bit weary but we proceeded anyway. Upon walking into the studio, the ambiance was be off putting. Lights were turned off, untidy bathroom and floor messy with props & flowers that we had to step over to pass. Mary was not very welcoming and seemed to be having a bad day as soon as we entered the studio. Again against our better judgement we tried to be optimistic that things would get better. I tried to remain upbeat, however a mixture of hormones and annoyance left me trying to shake the disappointment off. Long story short(ish)...I had to ask several times for her to change the backdrop and to include props for the different outfit changes. These requests were made due to other photos we liked on her IG page, not arbitrarily. However she seemed impatient and annoyed anytime I spoke or asked for something. Also I was under the impression that I would be able to try on the dresses in her inventory at the time of the shoot but was rudely informed that I could only try on two dresses because she did not want to launder unused dresses. If that's your policy I respect that but would have been nice to mention during our phone consultation! Fast forward to the raw unedited photos being delivered via email. She requested we chose our favorite poses and stated that the photos would be edited and returned. Upon seeing the photos I was sadden to see the frustration in my facial expressions, lack of direction for proper positioning, etc. However I wrote back inquiring about the editing process because I was interested in having some imperfections removed from my belly & curious about the ability to adjust awkward leg positions, if possible. I don't believe she understood the true intent of my question because her response was very defensive and condescending. In response, she recommended that I "review my website or Instagram to get an understanding of how final images look". Are you kidding me?! Without seeing unedited to compare to edited photos, how is that supposed to help me ma'am. At that point I knew she wasn't having a one off bad day but was not capable of communicating effectively, being empathetic, professional or courteous. In order to not further upset myself I chose not to engage with her anymore after receiving the final digital shots. As a first time mom I wanted these keepsake photos to commemorate my pregnancy and to cherish for years to come with my new family. I didn't view the questions I had as too demanding but rather typical for not knowing what to expect. I strongly dislike the way our photos came out for the amount of money spent. Her newborn pics are adorable and appear to be her strong suit. However due to our ordeal we won't be returning or recommending to others. My sincere hope is that our experience is a one off and others have a more pleasant maternity session outcome. Cheers!

Prior to that, I had set a budget of $5000 as I wanted everything to look upscale and well put together. I had the event at a photography studio where drapes and pipes had to be used to add elegance to the room. As the event space was previously a car part warehouse. After seeing the venue, the owner called me with a quote of $4,500. I asked for a receipt for my tax purposes and was declined and told that she can send me a contract that reflects the amount. She stated that they do not provide itemized receipts. I agreed and left it at that, again it was down to the wire, days away from the event and I needed all the assistance I could get. The next day after paying in full. I mentioned to her that I would like to know how much each item cost as you can imagine $4500 is not a little bit of money. I was made to feel as if I was wrong for wanting to know where my money was being spent. Instead, I was fed excuses about it being Mother's Day weekend and "we aren't dealing with a blank canvas." She threatened to release and refund my money all because I asked for an itemized receipt, she couldn't explain exactly what or how much each item cost, and then she stated how she wasn't even getting paid for this event. However, also mentioned that she was getting paid only $500. And that I was stressing her out. I don't understand why such a fight had to be put on because I asked for a receipt showing me how much each item cost. I mean, I am the customer. Because it was last minute, I went along with it. The turnout was DECENT. It looked well put together, however nowhere in that room did I see $4,500 worth of items, and my team agreed. I have pictures to confirm. 4 pipe and Drapes Balloon Design and Arch 10 Martini Tables with Clothes Red Capet Poles with ropes for red carpets Centerpieces and Letters that lit up that spelled HOLLYWOOD across the tables.

I called to make sure they had the balloon and told the young lady I would be there in the evening to pick up. Party Place is nestled in the corner of Burtonsville shopping center. Getting into this shopping area can be complex but I was able to find a spot this Saturday evening. The store is small but has a vast variety of balloons, party decor, utensils, holiday decorations & more. A young lady name Ena assisted me and she was super sweet & pleasant. I walked through the store while she blowed up my balloon and I ended up adding a few more balloons along with some decor for the table & cake. The Party Place will now be my go-to spot for balloons & more. They are affordable, the store front is clean, there's no long wait and service by Ena was great. I went in for 1 item, came out with 6 lol.
