Love the delivery service in the mornings, the food is pretty good, not brilliant but better than most fast food, great place for breakfast. I tried Something Different while on a work trip to Portales. I asked the waitress if she was familiar with GF options and she was hesitant to suggest anything other than the most popular potato, Jacked Up Stud. I thought I would take her advice. I was not so pleasantly surprised, unfortunately. Early in the meal, I had asked for a side plate and she never brought it. I had to go to the kitchen area and ask again. When my "meal" arrived, it looked like a microwaved mess of cheese. Upon eating, I found the lack of consistency to be unsettling. One area was covered in a ball of melting butter while another had green chilies. The chicken was hard to find in the sea of cheese and was very bland. The potato was covered in a very thick layer of cheese that, although melted, made it difficult to maneuver the meal. The experience was more of a turn off than enjoyable. read more

I have been here about four or five times; It's always nice to eat here because even when it's busy you still get your service fast and friendly. Portions are generous and not over-priced. I like their super huge loaded potatoes, and their teriyaki bowls. I am going to try their pasta for the first time! They are always nice and it's always a pleasant meal :) read more

This is my go-to place when I can't decide what I want to eat. I love the grilled chicken salad with ranch & teriyaki sauce. Other good choices are the chicken teriyaki bowl & cali wrap. Once I felt like completely bad-for-you food, I got the chicken fried steak spud & it was quite good! It was so heavy that it probably won't be a regular though. read more

This is such a cozy little mom n' pop restaurant in the middle of Portales, NM. They have an... Interesting variety of foods to say the least. Salads, burgers.. The traditional American fare (accompanied with famous New Mexico green chile). And then they have a small selection of Asian stir fry? My breakfast burrito was totally great so I would be down to try the Asian food as random as it was. read more

This is a bit of a tale of two meals. First of all, please note that our server was great: friendly and attentive. Now, I ordered the Southwest Spaghetti. It was good. Green chile in the sauce. Nice! As for my daughter the vegetarian/pescetarian not so much luck. We perused the menu and found a few reasonable options. We asked our server for suggestions. We made it clear that she doesn't eat meat. She ordered the shrimp Alfredo with veggies. She started in on the dish when it arrived only to pull out a chunk of what looked like chicken. I tasted it, and I'm pretty sure it was chicken. We told a server about it, and we were assured that the chicken was kept across the kitchen from the shrimp so it was unlikely to be chicken, but they would make another plate. Yes, please! The new plate came out and she confidently started in...and found more chicken. We talked to the manager. We'll likely try a different restaurant next time. read more

Okay,so I have tried many items off the menu.The only thing that was actually decent was the breakfast burrito.Service was always great.Im writing this for the food.Man,everything was so bland! I guess people like bland food around here because I always hear people saying how good this place is.I have learned that over here people give good reviews on places if they know people that work there or something.Almost every restaurant I have tried over here that got good reviews has been disappointing.Not to mean,because the local people are always very nice here,but I most likely will not be returning unless I can make it for breakfast.I wish they served it all day. read more

I have had issues with their delivery service multiple times now. The first time it happened I had hair in my food. So I called and waited another 45 minutes for them to deliver my food again. The second time I ordered for a group of people and the only thing my wife wanted and paid for didn't show up. When I called I was told by a manager that it would just be easier for them to give me the money back for that item rather than take another 45 minutes to deliver it. My other option was to come get it myself. Really? This last time I ordered I waited over an hour for my food and was contacted about the address by the driver. So we gave him instructions and after 20 more minutes with no food we called the store and the manager called the driver and said that he claimed he already delivered it. It was convenient that I paid online with a credit card so some one else got a free meal! So I went to the store and asked to have the driver verify that it was him who got the food (which it wasn't). The manager then proceeded to tell me she was sorry and offered store credit, to which I replied we would not be eating there again but that i would like the soup my wife ordered still. But surprise surprise they were all out. This place has terrible customer service and I would not recommend them unless you want to be disappointed. read more
