Walking down main street this shop caught my eye…read more It's located where the candle store used to be (a few of the candles are still sold at the Gait Mercantile) and was simply drazzled in pearls and other sparkly morsels. Incredibly tempted by the $18 freshwater pearl necklace on a silk ribbon I waffled between the glittery and the thoughtful. When would I ever wear pearls? Now, I really wish I had purchased a necklace of them, just to say I had one, but alas. No string of lovely for me that day. All in all, I'd love to return and may look into if they ship. So I went here for exactly that. But as soon as I walked in the store they were giving me weird looks. I'm use to this because I have tattoos on my neck. I immediately felt a sense of awkwardness based on the looks they were giving me. I spoke with a nice gentlemen at the front and told him what I'm looking for. He was a little standoffish. These are country hicks that obviously are a lil bias based on people's looks. He told me his boss is on the ranch but will be back later and can give me a price on what I want. His boss calls and says "no I can't make what you want". Funny because they said they could make whatever I want but now can't make it at all. If Ya want to be treated like you matter as a customer, this isn't the place for you.

I have bought lots and lots of stuff from here mostly because of the friendly atmosphere, and the quality of stuff is pretty good, even though the inventory pretty much never changes. Even so, it's my favorite antique store in fortuna or eureka. I would recommend this place to anyone. The back 2 rooms have lots of auto and racing stuff and beer signage , and the back two rooms are 50 percent off as of now (5/20/18). That would usually be the first place I would make a beeline for. Got a really nice auto parts store sign once here for a good price.
