Installed a metal oil pan and oil and told them it was "good to go". They stressed they had an 8-hour drive to Indiana and asked for them to do a 2nd driving test. They said it was "good to go". Pick up the car, get 30 minutes down the road and car breaks down leaking oil again. Take it to a place in Springfield, MO and they find there is a leak from the oil separator/PCV. Real through job by Branson Tire to just assume it was a plastic oil pan and not inspect anything further up the system. If you are traveling through Branson and have problems, don't count on this place, they know you are out of towners and just do enough to get you on your way and fatten their wallets.

He will not gouge you on price and he will not fix anything that doesn't need fixing. I had a Springfield company tell me that I needed close to $800 in work done on my car - I was only going for an alignment. I took it to him and had him look at it and he couldn't find anything wrong with it and referred me to Lakeside Tire & Wheel just in case he missed something. I took it to Lakeside and they couldn't find anything wrong. They told me the Springfield company just wanted my money. I find the majority of the auto shops in Branson are overpriced, don't know what they are doing and are here just to gouge the locals and the tourist. My cars and my family's cars are all going to Mr. Layton for any work that we need done. Mr. Layton explains everything in detail and there are no surprises when dealing with him.

Diagnosis new alternator which I paid for in good faith believing this was the problem. The issue is still happening however I was then told that repair did not resolve the issue and I needed additional repairs to resolve an issue that was not present when I took my vehicle in for the initial repair. I was really hoping to find an honest mechanic that valued integrity for servicing my vehicles.
