It's like JoAnne Gaines and Indiana Jones curated a smaller version of Versailles Palace for Texas. Though on the pricey side, the items here are of high quality and so beautiful to look at. I am redesigning my house in my head as I walk through the store. Keep walking past the coffee bar to the back; there are a couple more rooms to look at. I only wish I had discovered this place sooner. One of the employees said that they decorate the store and "rooms" for the holidays, and I can only imagine how amazing it must look. The shop manager, Lori, made our visit unforgettable. She was incredibly kind and took the time to show us the fountain pens as well as introduced us to all the wonderful products the shop offers. You can really tell how much she cares about the customers. If you're a stationery lover or even just curious about fountain pens/journals or the paper goods they have to offer, this is absolutely the place to visit. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the pricing, the lack of cleanliness or upkeep of the store, and the disappointment in this store definitely not being ADA complying for anyone who may have a mobility issue or wheelchair bound. There are so many items tucked away in corners and up against the walls here that it just seems like it would be dangerous and compact to try to walk comfortably. Parking might be a thing as we couldn't see any spots in front that would allow us to park. We had to park down the way (alley) and walked over to get to the store. It's really dusty here and although many things are labeled with the year and the type of wood/metal/glass the pricing just doesn't make any sense. Walking in...it was quite overwhelming...there's a lotta stuff lol. Take your time perusing the place, you'll never know what you might find! They also rescue local cats and all are up for adoption! Most are fixed and have their rabies shots. Also, leashed was a super sweet dog up for adoption. They've been fostering her for 2 years. Please consider....each one of them, needs a good home! I was able to find a cool tall metal stand that I will use as a base for a bird bath. Some items are priced, but the owner is easily accessible and able to price or answer any of your questions. We met Kirt H., the owner, super friendly and knowledgeable. In the business for quite some time, most items come from home demolitions or were purchased on special trips they made along the way. Definitely unique finds, old items, a lot of choices for antiques. They also have a room where they rehome cats, which seemed odd but I appreciate that they are trying to help these cats find homes. Most of the prices that I saw seemed reasonable, but not everything was marked. Parking is odd because you are parking under the bridge between the street with cars going in each direction.
