Nice local spa the facility is in a renovated house, so the atmosphere is eclectic.. It was my daughter's birthday so we both had facial's and our eye lashes tinted. Both treatments were fabulous and we would go back. I would just suggest that while your waiting the person at the front should offer you a bottle of water... just so you feel a bit more pampered from the on set. Very nice spa in an older home that has been transformed into a spa. The spa is clean and had zero question of cleanliness. I had a manicure done and the staff are super nice and helpful. I came in for an early appointment and everyone was ready and welcoming. The spa fills up quick and so do appointments so book early. There is a small parking lot and side of the street parking. I visited Sona Bella for the second time this weekend for haircut with Christina and couldn't be happier! This salon was recommended to me by someone in my office who is just shy of obsessed with her hair, and I couldn't be grateful enough to her for sharing this gem! The receptionist is so friendly and was very happy to accommodate my busy schedule. Christina was lovely and very knowledgable and shared lots of information with me about what would be good for my hair, and wasn't pushy at all in terms of their products, which I thought was great. Now I have the perfect haircut and I've gotten tons of compliments already. Overall cost was very very reasonable! Full service salon and spa with waxing, facials, and nail services, though I haven't taken advantage of those just yet. The receptionist mentioned on my way out that they post specials on their Facebook site. FYI: Cash tips only, but you can pay for your services on a credit card, and there is a parking lot on site with plenty of free street parking also adjacent. read more

I was looking for places near by to get eye brow tinting done and came across Sona Bella on Yelp. The reviews looked good so I figured I'd call and see if they had any appointments available. The receptionist was very nice and got me an appointment right away! I had an appointment with Rosa and as soon as she started talking about my eye brows, I knew I had come to the right place! I have very thin eye brows that have been over plucked. Rosa tinted my eye brows and also my eye lashes (which I didn't plan for but I highly recommend!) She showed my where my eye brows should line up on my face and what to do for the next couple weeks until the next appointment (no plucking!!) She made me feel very comfortable, just like the rest of the employees and was also very friendly. I already made another appointment and would recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I received a gift certificate for my 50th birthday to Simply Body Spa in Shelton only to have them suddenly and without any notice close their doors before I could redeem it. It was a nice surprise to find that Sona Bella was willing to offer one free service of your choice as their way of honoring the non redeemable gift certificates from Simply Body. I am not a frequent visitor of spas or any self pampering services of any kind. I can tell you the treatment I received was awesome. Located in a quaint house setting you are treated with kindness and respect and total pampering. I felt comfortable and relaxed which was important to me since I'm a little shy about the whole spa thing. I only wish I could afford to go more often. read more

I travel an HOUR for a haircut with Angela. She does my color too, and I have never had more compliments on my hair! She is a great listener, and is able to create a style that combines my vision with my hair color, texture, thickness etc. Angela keeps up to date on hair fashion/trends with master classes and conferences. worst ever. i had a pray tan done here and i guess they scrub your entire body before the spray. They lady so called the "owner" as she claimed she was kept telling me how much makeup i am wearing and how my skin is not perfect!! HOW RUDE for her to tell me something like that. She made me feel like shit the whole time with all the things she was telling me. I know some people warned me but i didn't listen and now i really regret it! And by the way since i didn't have that much makeup on and she was complying i did, did she ever look at the clowns that are working in that place who wear gallon and gallons of makeup! I REFUSE TO COME HERE and will definitely warn other people!! read more
