Sadly my French didn't last. They did try to upsell me on something more than a basic French manicure, but 4 days later and my nails aren't looking great. Usually my nails last a week, if not longer. Don't know if the French has anything to do with the shortened span. Just overall, beware. Luckily I had an even the next day, so wasn't a big deal. I am no hard in my nails, they usually last over a week. If I do gel they can last up to 3 weeks normally. read more

I am new to Milford and was looking for a nail salon, in advance of the Easter holiday, so I knew I would be fighting crowds. I made an appointment to get my nails done at Young Nails in the middle of the afternoon on Saturday - I could not believe that this place was totally empty! This is an absolute hidden gem in the heart of Milford. In terms of COVID-19 protocols, they were very meticulous and I felt very safe. (Helped to have the whole place to myself, like a private spa experience.) I had a regular manicure and regular pedicure, which were very reasonably priced and nicely done. While my nails were drying (and they brought the dryer to me), they provided a 10-minute massage as well. The couple who runs Young Nails could not be nicer or more accommodating. So, about a month ago I found this little gem of a nail salon not too far from home. Its been here for years, but I believe has changed ownership several times. I took a chance and am glad that I did. Its very small - only 3 nail technicians and 3 pedicure chairs. However, the level of service is quite good. I get the UV Gel (permanent french) and am quite pleased with the results. They also have a full line of UV Color Gels for those interested in that - in fact, they have 62 colors to choose from! As for the pedicure, I have had both the standard pedi which was just fine and the spa pedi. The spa pedi is quite nice - at one point in the process, they squeeze fresh oranges (or whatever seasonal fruit, although right now oranges) on your legs (its cold - be warned!) that mixes in with the mask and it really is refreshing. Then at the end they squeeze fresh aloe on each leg and work that in. It really is quite nice and I think makes a difference. While my hands are the UV (or for those sitting at the drying table), when they massage your shoulders/back, they first start with hot stones then they do the typical massage. The hot stones really relax the muscles and again is another nice touch. Prices are quite reasonable - I am getting the same treatments here as I have at other places for about 2/3 of the price. Will definitely keep going here - hopefully not too many people read this so that it becomes too crowded! :) read more

Super amazing gel manicures. I NEVER got manicures because I always had chipping and issues until my wedding. At the urging of a friend I went here to get a gel manicure and hoped it would work out. It was great and looked amazing. Lasted almost three weeks! She did my Mom's nails too for the wedding and did gel extensions. My Mom also never gets manicures because she has a nail that splits and loved hers as well. I decided to get a manicure last weekend at a different place and it was HORRIBLE and I learned my lesson that you don't get gel manicures by people that don't care. Within the first two days the cuticles had started to peel and my fidgeting managed to have the whole thing picked off within five days total. I slinked back to Young Nails to have them fixed up and have a wonderful manicure that still looks like new several days later. :) Lesson learned. read more

They burned me with the callous remover gel which they left on too long. Then they cut my feet deeply with the callous remover tool. I complained to the owner without any satisfaction. I went here for eyebrow and eyelash tint yesterday, and it looks like I finally found my place! I didn't expect to get a eyebrow waxing, but it was included in eyebrow tint for no additional charge. It seemed that the lady who did it cared a lot about customer satisfaction and it meant a lot to me. Still sitting here in the salon drying my nails and I couldn't wait to write a review. I came in here about 2 weeks ago, and I got a pedicure. It was really good, and normally I don't get pedicures but I said why not, and came back again. I came today, and the man who I believe owns this place with his wife, gave me my pedicure. This is the most amazing pedicure I have ever received. He massaged my legs for longer than expected and did a great job painting them as well. After, I know it is customary to give the customer a massage but he heated up a stone for me and gave me a massage with that. So disappointed in this place, saw a sign outside for a special for manicure and a pedicure for $25 so I thought I'd go in. What a mistake, when I had the pedicure, the woman who started it hardly even talked my toenails barely touched a file to my toenails no pushing back cuticles no buffing nothing, then a man took over massage my legs with baby oil, Left such a slick on my legs didn't wipe off the bottom my feet which got all of my brand-new leather sandals, when he shoved my sandals on my feet he didn't even put anything between my toes such as cotton or wrapped up paper towel nothing just proceeded to paint my nails with hardly any polish on them. Then I proceed to get a manicure, once again filed my nails no pushing back my cuticles hardly had any nail polish on the brush one of the worst manicures I ever got and to top it all off it's her to chip the next day will never go back here again and do not recommend anybody else to go here either. My recent visit was more than disappointing this place is horrible. The seats are small and comfortable the massage did not work and if did not one offered to show me. I was bot offered beverage or magazine. The nail techs were o unresponsive rude unprofessional a all around disconnected. Three people did my pedicure why idk. The massage was weak. I was very disappointed on how I was treated after going back to have ester fix my nails. I went there for mani, pedi and eyebrow wax. I have been there a few times before just for waxing and I liked it so I went back. When Ester finished my manicure I bought nailtek to help my nails get stronger, she told me to apply the next morning which I did. But after doing that all of my nails where totally smudged and needed to be redone. I called she said to come in she would fix them. When I got there she was very rude to me. Telling me she's not fixing them. I need to pay again. I was trying to talk to her she kept telling me just be quiet !!! I was very upset that I was treated that way after spending close to 100 dollars there the day before. She was very angry. When I went to dry my nails she wouldn't take off the extra polish that was on all of my fingers. She walked away and went in the back room. She left my purse, phone and sunglasses at her table also my friend had to go get them. Very disrespectful and Rude.
