Came in early and with no line, I was able to look through the menu to find something of interest. My sister-in-law loves the tea options here but I went with my usual Iced Latte with Caramel. First, the aesthetic of this place is a mix of white walls, black accent pieces, and reclaimed wood. Very simple and nice environment to enjoy a cup of high quality of coffee. Overall, I felt the latte was well balanced. despite having breve, the espresso still came through. The caramel sauce did disappear but that was okay. When writing coffee reviews, I typically have a threshold I expect to be met to earn that 4 out of 5 stars. Feeling on the exclusive end of Denver's caffeine scene, Sonder made for the right pre-hiking fix serving up the right basics of rose and orange drinks made with in house syrups however flavers were very well hidden and sadly not as balanced as should be for the prices. Assuming the mad rush I happened upon with a line nearing the entry had seeing to do with it. Would make a bigger stink but the lattes were plenty fine coffee, discount emailed to me after ordering online made a nice surprise, and the especially pleasant staff makes up for most any slight error here. read more

I love Sonder! The ambiance is great whether you're outdoors, indoors, and the shop is busy, or chill. Allison is so pleasant and she was incredibly helpful when I was having trouble with my espresso at home. I've had all of their seasonal drinks except the matcha. Unfortunately, they had just served the last of the matcha to the customer before me but next time! I enjoy the balance of their flavors vs. espresso in their lattes and the cold brew is great too. If you know me, you also know that I absolutely love to try new coffee spots. Doesn't matter where I am. If I'm visiting a new city, you'll likely find me checking into small, local places there. This was such a fantastic discovery. It's not very close to other businesses, but I was absolutely fine hanging out here with my laptop and catching up on my life. It's located on the 1st floor of a residential building. SONDER is a very cute, clean, and spacious place. Bright and inviting is how I would describe it. Check out the décor. Loved the art work on the walls. Check out my photos. I had a cold brew and almond croissant. Both were delicious and fresh. The cold brew was smooth and not too dark. Had it black as always. Friendly baristas. It was slow when I arrived around 830am, but got fairly busy as the morning progressed. Looks like there were quite a few regulars. I'd totally come here all the time if I lived in the area. Plenty of parking here. Should never be an issue. Wifi worked perfectly fine during my entire time there. I've really enjoyed Sonder since they opened. Now that the weather is finally lightening up, sitting outside in the sun with friends sipping their Honey Lavender Nitro Cold Brew is a nice highlight of the day. I was originally drawn for the Honey Lavender Syrup, to be honest! Although it's not on their menu, you can see new, interesting drinks featured on their popular Instagram account (@sondercoffee) like Matcha Mint Mojito and Cold Brew Lemonade. The space indoors is all woods and whites, painted brick and open shelving adorned with vines. It's modern but also very relaxing. If I sit inside, I love sitting by the tall windows to do some work on my laptop utilizing the free wifi. The only reason I take off one star is because I've decided to cut out sugar and this place doesn't offer any sugar-free alternatives. This is the first time I've ever run into this in any coffee shop in Denver! I'm still a fan of the Cold Brew but considering Colorado's continuously growing health-conscious population, it would be great if we sugar-freers could get an interesting flavour too. read more

Very nice coffee shop! I came across this coffee shop via the Denver Passport which features a coffee shops and cafes as well. This particular location was conveniently located between my friend and me. The space was on the lower level of a new-ish apartment complex. We got there about 10:30AM on Saturday and it was packed...and kind of loud. But, that wasn't a huge issue. I am happy this location is so popular on late weekend mornings! We got our drinks from the seasonal menu and we both got the sweater weather latte. The barista asked if we wanted to sub any other type of milk. I don't *need* to substitute (I don't have any allergies) but I always like when they ask because I typically do opt for almond milk. Service was great! We were greeted right away. We sat down and caught up for several minutes before we went up to order our coffee and we were approached very pleasantly asking if we needed anything. But, we weren't bothered or interrupted otherwise, which I appreciate. We both loved our drinks - it was a frothy, sweet, milky latte with maple and brown sugar flavors. And, they had a very cute little design for each of us! The space was big and open with a lot of sunlight coming in. We stayed for a couple of hours catching up. She had her baby with her and he was content as a bug and the noise didn't seem to bother him one bit. A side note: the logo is really hip and cool and there seemed to be some cool swag too. I've come here on a couple occasions now and love the ambiance of this place. It seems to stay pretty busy through out the day so I do recommend some head phones if you're trying to work on the computer here. I love their house made syrups and it's self serve for that so you can make it as sweet or non sweet as you want it. I've had their Matcha latte and it wasn't too bad, but then I tried their Honey Latte and my goodness, it was delicious. I will definitely be back, especially since parking is super easy and it isn't a hassle to get here either. What a lovely coffee & tea shop I discovered in the area! The venue is a perfect size with a decent amount of seating (including a few spots outside) and an awesome view of the mountains. I love the modern interior as well as the glassware. I was welcomed with good customer service which I really appreciate. I was impressed with their unique selection of teas. I ordered the white rose melange which was really good and came in a cute little pottery-like set. They save the tea on a little plate if you would to resteep for a refill. They have a very small selection of pastries. It's in a perfect open location with plenty of parking and great views. It's a great spot for some quality alone time or to catch up with friends or colleagues. Sonder is definitely worth a visit! read more

I stopped by solely because it was the closest coffee shop near me at the moment, I'm glad I came in. I went the safer route and ordered a 16oz iced vanilla latte and was pleased with my drink. I also got a blueberry cheese danish and this is what stole the show for me! I don't where they get their pastries, but you can tell that this was EXTRA fresh! Randomly found Sonder within Junction and I am so happy I did! The guy working was super kind and very knowledgeable. I'm most definitely a coffee girl but he got me to try a tea called Starry Night! It's a tea with a splash of cream and a little bit of soda water. He had me smell the tea leaves, explained that it didn't have caffeine which is good for some people obviously, but again him being knowledgeable was so refreshing! This drink had both savory and sweet notes. What I loved about it the most was the slight thyme flavor paired with lavender - how can you go wrong?! Their Summer Menu had such interesting drinks. We had some time to kill before heading to the Denver Airport. Wanted a quiet little coffee spot to chill. Didn't want to go to a Starbucks or anything "regular". Stumbled upon this spot on Yelp and it looked super cute. It was close by too so we decided to stop in here. The barista, Vivian, is a young lady who was very inviting, friendly and kind. Vivian was very personable as she was talking to the girl in line behind me as if she knew her and I saw her say goodbye to a customer by name. I love that so much! Customer service is a lost art in everything nowadays so when I meet friendly people who go out of their way, they definitely make an impression on me. Actually, as I was sitting and enjoying my coffee, I was listening to Vivian greet everyone who came through the door with the utmost respect and friendly manner. And seems like most customers were regulars as she knew most of their names and greeted them personally. Love that! Vivian asked if I had ever been here before and I told her we found this spot and had to stop by. Saw the toasted coconut latte on the menu so I had to try that. Coconut is my jam and toasted coconut is just a freaking bonus! The barista asked if I wanted the drink for here or to go. I opted to stay and chill. Then I had the option for an 8oz ($4.50) or 12 oz size ($4.75). For an additional $0.25 I get more caffeine. Score!!! So I got my beautiful latte in a glass mug and coaster plate. I found the ambiance to be very clean and modern with the rustic wood panel touch. I love that look. The wooden tables are a warm touch paired with the modern black metal chairs. There is limited seating outdoors as it is a small narrow patio. There were two high top tables with barstools. I love this cute little spot! And the prices are reasonable. SONDER is a decent coffee shop in the Denver area. I enjoyed the chai and my friend enjoyed their mocha. I gave four stars instead of five for two reasons; 1) price- the prices online did not match the prices in person. It was not a huge deal but I do like to know what I'm getting into ahead of time. 2) it was freezing! I'm not sure if they don't have heat or if they just didn't have it on but I had goosebumps. Location is great and parking is a breeze. I'm sure it is especially nice for those that live in the apartments above the coffee shop. The shop itself was very clean and well kept. The employees were knowledgeable and answered questions without making it seem like a hassle. Whites, matte black, grays, and wood just make my heart happy. The deer antlers over the gray woven couch is a great touch! Def a great chill space to sip some coffee, catch up with friends, study, or whatever your heart desires. COFFEE: Sooo good! They use Corvus Coffee here and all the syrups are made in house! I opted for a 12 ounce iced vanilla latte. It was perfect. Not too sweet and just what I needed to get me through my day. EATS: They do offer a small selection of pastries as well. While I didn't sample any of them during this visit; it's nice to know that if I come hungry I have options! SONDER is my favourite coffee shop in Denver. My boyfriend and I went on a coffee crawl while visiting, since I have a big passion for speciality coffee. I was really thankful that SONDER is open later than most places, as specialty shops tend to close around 1-3. First and foremost, Eli deserves a big mention. He is an amazing barista, and clearly insanely passionate about people and what he does! We ordered an oatmilk latte and espresso while we were here. The dial on the espresso was perfect, and I would have done nothing more to change it. Eli also has amazing texture with his milk steaming - which I know can be really hard to achieve with alternative milks! She explained how the Monte Verde pour-over is such a rare treat not only because it's hard to come by but also how the coffee beans have captured so many floral and fruity notes. Then she showed us how to sip the seltzer to cleanse the pallet, smell the rose pedals, and experiment between the chocolate and dried apricot to arouse different parts of our pallet between sips of coffee. Came here for their one year anniversary event and the place is the perfect chill, trendy, coffee connoisseur setting!! It's pretty small, attached to what looked like an apartment complex. It was super crowded when I came, but I'm sure it's because they had $1 off drinks and affogatos for the event! So I'm not sure how busy it usually gets, but if it's always that busy it might be hard to focus on studying if you need peace and quiet. Otherwise if you can deal with a couple conversations here and there, then it's the perfect place to get some work done! We ordered an earl grey tea latte, affogato with butter pecan ice cream, and another black tea latte but I can't remember the name, sadly. It was something -wildflower. The affogato was great I loved the espresso taste. My wildflower latte was just me trying something new, so I wasn't quite used to the floral taste but it slowly grew on me. Sonder offers some special beverages that are distinctive, such as their lime latte, pistachio cold brew, kiwi matcha, or elderflower tonic. I tried their orange latte and their grapefruit rosemary cold brew. Both knocked my socks off! I especially liked the grapefruit rosemary cold brew, which was prepared just like a cocktail. I love the simplicity of the décor, and the artwork for their logo is great. The barista was super friendly. He told me that the syrups are all made in-house. The vanilla is made with brown sugar, and the honey used for other flavorings is local. How awesome is that! They offer a small selection of food as well. They were out of almond croissants (which is fine with me), so we had a ham and cheese croissant. He warmed it for us, and it was excellent. It had a lot of flavor. It was much better than I ever expected it to be. My steamer was perfectly made, and tasted great. Wish that I lived nearby, as this would be a regular stop for me. Today I tried their coffee for the first time and the only thing i will say I probably be coming back. The only thing i notice is I order the mocha and i didn't taste a hint of chocolate. The latte was amazing and the pastry comes at 10am. I waited for mine until they arrive that Almond croissant was heavenly. So buttery, flaky and moist filled with sweet almond paste in the inside. Was heaven on earth! Totally recommend it. Very calm and chill, clean environment. Good for when you need to work on your computer or just read your book.
