I finally did it, I finally tried out the sensory deprivation float tank. Honestly I had no idea that Greensboro would have this experience and thought I would have to travel to Charlotte or Raleigh. But to my surprise they are here. You will need to make your appointment online and if you have to cancell there is a 24 hour cancellation policy. Otherwise you will lose what you paid upfront for the appointment. I did arrive early so there was available street parking. I would give yourself time to find parking and walk if needed. Walking in, the space appeared to be clean and welcoming. There is also a juice bar in the front which very much compliments the health and wellness space. For my visit I decided to do the Float tank and not the Float pod. These tanks are filled will approx. 1000 pounds of Epsom salt (give or take) and would be similar to floating in the dead sea. The float tank and pod is completely soundproof and you have the option of complete darkness and quiet or soft dim lighting and gentle music. I found it a bit challenging for myself to be still for 60 minutes, I constantly wanted to change the lighting and volume of music and at one point I cut the lights all the way off and I can admit freaked just a little bit. (Haha). But I floated myself safely back to the light by the door opening, by way of my hands, and was able to open the door and turn the light back on. Whewww. It's just you and your thoughts which makes for a very unique experience that really shows how hard it can be to truly be still. The rooms provide a shower, body soap, shampoo and conditioner. You will want to shower before and after you use the tank. There are also private dressing areas where you can blow dry your hair and get ready if needed. (for float tank users only I do believe) Sonder Mind and body also has a Sauna and different variations of massage therapy to take advantage of. I do wish that their website had some more information. I also would like to see more packages. The only ones I could see were Float and Sauna or Float and massage. There is also an option for a membership which provides a bit of savings but if you want 1 float and 1 sauna a month it's $100. Would I do this again, maybe as a special treat. But to me I would much prefer a facial or massage. I am happy I tried it though! Anywho, I really encourage anyone that has ever wanted to try a float tank to at least try it once! I bought a friend here and we had the opportunity to float! Omg this was an amazing experience. The staff was friendly and very informative. The building is quiet, calm, relaxing and very clean. The water is warm and you don't have to know how to float. Your body will float automatically. The shower is great and they provide you with some high quality shampoo and body wash. You will have to shower afterwards because there will be salt everywhere! read more

Hey family. So I heard about this place through my nail tech. I'm in a place in my life where I'm focusing more on my wellness and keeping in alignment with how I'm truly feeling. I'm always willing to try anything once and I'm glad I did. Prior to me booking, I did do a little research and found some YouTube videos on flotation therapy. It's really cool. You're in this pod but it's filtered with 1000lbs of Epson salt. So the idea is that when you are floating, you feel weightless and it relaxes you. I went in a few weeks ago and made the appointment in person because I was confused on the site. Basically, if you want multiple services you just have to book them individually but you can have them back to back. When I booked, I did the floating first and then I did the massage. This wellness space offers many different services such as infrared sauna, chiropractors, and reiki. I love how detailed they are and when they email you with confirmation and waiver, they let you know everything you need. I've never floated in water before so I was a little nervous because I can't swim. But it was really cool. I arrived 15 minutes before and they explained everything and answered my questions. There is a shower in there as well with hair and body products. Which surprisingly were very lovely and smelled great. You can choose to float with something on or not and I chose to have on boy shorts and bralette which was great for me. The room is motion censored and you rinse off a few minutes before you get in the pod. When I showered that morning I didn't put on any lotions or oils since I knew I had to rinse off anyway. I packed an extra towel, lotion, and deodorant. Honestly that's all you need and maybe a hair dryer. I closed the pod for a while but for me I was too hot so I left mine cracked open. I did feel a little nauseous and I'm glad they had ginger candy. They have earplugs that mold to your ears as well as a halo for your head. I would also recommend getting a small towel or washcloth because it will help with the salt water getting in your eyes. They do have a spray bottle but I have contacts so I used the washcloth provided. I might try it again and anyone recommends trying it 3-4 more times to get used to it. I floated for an hour and the last 20 minutes was when I figured out what worked for me. I liked floating on the end where it it was open and the music was great. They have options in the pod to adjust the music and lighting. Afterwards I showered and got a massage. I'm not sure if my massage therapist has blessed hands or if it was the float before. That was the first time I felt really good and rejuvenated afterwards. They were excellent and the environment was so inviting. I can't wait to try more services but if you want to take your wellness to another level. Give them a try. read more

This is such a little gem in downtown Greensboro. Walking in gives you all the calm vibes immediately, just be sure to leave a good cushion of time to find parking and walk to the building. On most occasions I've been able to park in the lot right next door, but it's very small, and there's been one or two times I've had to find street parking around the corner. I love that Sonder has a collection of mind and body services to choose from. I've had several visits with the chiropractor who is spectacular, and most recently I tried the flotation therapy. It was very relaxing! The room was clean, welcoming, cozy, and the staff was very helpful. Final bonus- online booking is so user-friendly!!! read more

All the reviews on here are botted, the place isn't well kept and the employees have nasty attitudes, also they're going to charge you for a full service as soon as you book, even if you cancel. read more

I chose this place after a great recommendation from a coworker. I was looking for a way to relax and possibly relief from shoulder pain I have had for a few weeks. I arrived late, but was given the option to reschedule or take time off. Great, that means you all are punctual yet understanding. The facility was very clean. I was walked back and given instructions, towels, slippers, and a robe. Awesome experience. I got the Float and upper body massage. It's rather small though.
