I took advantage of a gift card that I received 3 yrs ago. Boy am I glad I did. My gift was a 90 minute Swiss massage. My massage therapist was Beth. She was awesome and very attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing. I was given a heated neck collar and watermelon infused water to drink while I waited for my massage. The temperature was perfect and the music contributed to the stress free atmosphere. I would go again and would recommend. read more

I came in specifically requesting a deep pore cleansing facial - that was my one and only ask. My esthetician offered an upgrade for an additional $75, which I politely declined and said I'd consider it next time. After that, the experience went downhill fast. Out of a 50-minute session, maybe 1-2 minutes were actually spent on any kind of pore cleansing. The rest of the time was spent on everything else - none of which I asked for. When she handed me the mirror at the end, I was genuinely shocked. Nothing had been done. My face was just left extremely oily with zero visible results. I want to be clear - I'm not someone who doesn't know what a good facial looks like. I've been getting facials my whole life and I know exactly what proper skincare treatment feels and looks like. This was nowhere close. To make it worse, when I headed to the front desk, my esthetician didn't say goodbye, offer any aftercare tips, or even acknowledge me - she just walked away. And then the front desk staff directly asked me for a tip, which felt completely inappropriate given the experience I just had. The overall vibe of this place is not that of a spa - it feels like a business that's only focused on upselling and taking your money. There's no genuine care for the client or the service being provided. I left feeling like my service was intentionally neglected because I declined the upsell. Bottom line: this place might be okay for a massage, but I would not recommend it for any facial treatments. The skill, attention, and professionalism required for proper skincare just isn't here. When I first arrived there was a team to greet me. Being my first time they insured my forms were completed. I sat with Faith, where she asked me what king of massage , went over the atmosphere I wanted and how it was customizable to me. Safety button etc. very thorough. I sat and waited for my massaged therapist and was offered a weighted hit neck pillow while I waited which was amazing. My appointment was at 10:30 and around 10:25 my therapist came out and checked in to let me know she was running a little behind and would be right with me. Which I appreciated and didn't mind at all. I was paired with Susan. Susan was very welcoming and knowledgeable. She showed me to our room explained everything and stepped out to allow me to change. She told me what areas I should work on stretching and worked all my knots out. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage and will be back. I do wish the quiet option I opted for was honored more. I understand she was trying to make me comfortable and some people talk through their massages but I did not want to talk during my massage. Granted that did only last the beginning 10-15 minutes I'll be more vocal when I go back with what I expect on my one half for my best experience. After, she stepped out for me to change and I had and I was greeted but the wonderful team out front which is always prepared to schedule my next session and I was recommend another therapist to try as well. I would like to try a few more to see what fits me. But overall excellent experience. read more

I arrived right at 9am on a Wednesday morning for my 9am massage appointment. On the Saturday prior, I made my appointment online via portal. I do have a membership that is $75. It has increased since I first got it several. It's gotten expensive and I often question if it's worth it. My check in progress was quick as I had already completed forms online. Danny was my provider and he was very friendly! Since I had a bunch of packages, I was able to use two by getting add ons such as Himalayan salt rocks, aroma therapy, and a foot treatment. When my massage started, the music was too loud. I couldn't even focus on my own thoughts, which I shouldn't be doing anyway lol. I eventually spoke up and Danny promptly turned it turn to a level I was comfortable with. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage. So much so, I didn't want to leave. It was so relaxing and I truly felt better. The aromatherapy was a nice boost. He stated it was lavender but seemed like peppermint or a mix of both. I liked the salt stones. I think a mix of hot and room temperature stones were used but really couldn't tell. My foot treatment was interesting, in a good way! I've gotten it before, so I thought, but it was nothing like this! Maybe the previous person didn't do it correctly. This time, I had hot towels on my feet that stayed there for a little bit and everything. My feet were so soft and moisturized afterwards! My only dislike was lack of talking through what's next. I know everyone doesn't like this, but I think it would be good for the massage therapist to ask clients up front. Some moments caught me off guard and I just wanted a heads up, especially if I could expect some pressure. To note, each time I get a massage, I don't really give guidance behind whether it's a deep tissue, relaxing, or a mix of both. I let them do whatever they see fit, as the professional. I never want to limit them to techniques of another provider as they may have techniques that may be better. This massage was needed and didn't disappoint. I have a bunch of packages, lol. What a wonderful Sunday afternoon treat! As a teacher, my life is filled with chaotic stress and anxiety. So this massage was much needed. I had Deidra as my masseuse and wow, was she amazing! I felt 100% comfortable and safe. She immediately put me at ease and was incredibly professional. The room was dimly lit with relaxing music and a heated massage table. The massage itself was amaaaaaazing. She massaged my shoulders, and got into all the knots in my back. The arm massage was so tingly! And then of course she massaged my legs, both while I was on my stomach and my back. She even massaged my ears at one point! I left feeling completely rejuvenated and fresh! I saw an add on Instagram and I was like why not. Usually I dont fall for things such as that but what's wrong with getting a little self care in every now and then. I'm really big on first impressions, it's a make or break for me. First, I want to say I did read the awful reviews on here and was a bit skeptical when I was going. However, let others reviews be just that, others reviews. Don't base someone else's experience on the experience you are about to have because it's not always the same. I did say a little prayer before I went....lol. When I walked in I was greeted by a warm smiling face asking me my name. There is warm relaxing music and the place was clean as far as I could see. Yes there was a little wear and tear on the seating but everything can't be perfect I was early, as they asked, so I could fill out my intake forms. And the receptionist answered my questions and was so patient with me, as I wanted to make sure the pricing I was quoted on the phone was the same as I was getting, and it was. I would recommend confirming this days before your appointment just in case there was any miscommunication My esthetician, Polin, greeted me in the waiting area and took me back to my room. Explained the whole procedure (cryofacial is what I was getting) and was so kind and patient with all my questions. I haven't gotten any kind of facial in years and I truly loved the cryofacial. So cold but felt so good!!! I absolutely had an amazing experience. My skin feels so refreshed and can't wait for my next sessions. I ended up being sold and booked a package of 5 and they had a great discount going on so had to take advantage. I also ended up becoming a member because man have I missed monthly massages. ... .. I can't wait I haven't allowed myself things such as this in a very long time and I'm so glad I decided to look past the nasty experiences others had so I could determine my own experience. And I was very pleased. I gave 4 stars because the only thing I was not pleased with was the 4 different numbers that wanted to confirm my appointment. At this point it became fishy if I was being scammed so I immediately called the store to ensure my appointment was booked. You do have to give your credit card ahead of time which I did. The night before my appointment I was contacted my customer service who left me a voicemail stating I didn't have a card on file and my appointment would be cancelled. However I knew this wasn't true because I gave my card number when I booked the appointment so I ignored it. Thank goodness when I went in today it wasn't cancelled and I was still in the books. Í joined with my two kids January 2025 and the amount of turnover this place has undergone from the front desk to the estheticians and masseuses during that time is atrocious. I couldn't understand why that was the case until a recent incident. I have been loyally going to this place because of one specific esthetician, Colleen. She is amazing. After moving from AZ, my kids really struggled with acne. It was because of her that their skin is now so much better. She is kind, hard working and an overall good person. I went in recently for a facial and tried re-booking her for my follow up on a Saturday, which is what I can make (I have tried weekdays and it's just too complicated), only to be told be told by their new manager Danet that she is no longer scheduled on Saturdays, and then she said that it should be easy to resolve because it wasn't even by her choice and that she was open and willing to come in! After that, I had several people reach out trying to convince me to see other providers. I even had one say they had re-open her schedule on Saturdays but I can tell from the schedule online that is not the case. Danet said that the regional manager, Tara, would call me. That was two weeks ago. I recently spoke to Destiny letting her know I would like to cancel all of our memberships. This place is toxic and pushing the good people out. I never heard from Tara despite Destiny calling me back to say she tried calling and emailing me. Stay away from this place and stand up for good people like Colleen, she deserves better! read more

A few months ago I tried to book my father it was his very first time at a spa and he wanted the cryo facial since my mother had it, well whoever saw him the first time told him they could do the cryo and then said they weren't certified. My father has never been to a spa before so he needed a walk through of what to expect instead he was left confused and asked to rebook at another time. When he came back for his appointment the staff told him he was revoked and banned.  Why? No one knows. I set an appointment for my parents last Friday and they came in on last Friday and were told that my father was banned from the spa.  When trying to figure out what happened my mother was told the associate that did it doesn't even work at the spa anymore. I am sorry to say that I am going to have to cancel my membership due to all the issues ever since I've joined. As this is not the first incident since I've joined less than a year ago. read more

I scheduled a ladies spa day for four of us to get a massage for Saturday. I scheduled this appointment two months ago. I live almost two hours away and we are all really looking forward to our girl time. Hand & Stone delayed our appointments by thirty minutes yesterday. So I called & switched all of our other reservations around. Today I get a phone call that one of us will not have a provider and someone else will have to get a facial instead of a massage. Then the receptionist told me one of us would come in at 1:00 and three of us at 1:30. So they completely butchered our appointment. When I called back to cancel completely, I was transferred and hung up on. I reached a call center representative when calling again, he was the first person to have customer service. So I thank him, but I will never schedule through hand & stone again. I'm so thankful I found a place to take us last minute- go to Head 2 Feet. Wanted to update: this place cannot cancel appointments properly. They are calling me and harassing me for a credit card now for three appointments instead of them having properly canceled them. They only canceled mine, when I have explained the situation to several people over and over again. I also had to experience the worst "customer service" in my life with a women constantly talking over me and being incredibly nasty and every time they transferred me it would disconnect. I've never had this much anger and confrontation with a business ever. What a horrible and stressful experience. Never again! read more

Called to question this, had to leave 2 messages before received a return call, I asked to escalate to manager twice, 3 weeks after the last request and I've still heard nothing. I'd been a member over 6 years. They sure didn't mind taking my monthly membership during the height of Covid when it was extremely difficult to get an appointment, now I'm supposed to be ok with being out over $1200....unacceptable. read more

Before reading this review, please do know that the professionals who render services at this location are just that, professional, well versed in their industry, and extremely friendly. My facial and spa experience was nothing but relaxing and enjoyable. My experience with the customer service side of Hand and Stone was nothing of the sort. I had called early June to cancel my membership - nothing personal, just traveling frequently and unable to keep appointments. I was told I would be added to the list of cancellations and that it would be taken care of. I was charged on 6/13 for one last month, which was fine, as that is one of the terms of the agreement. I didn't think anything else of it. I was then charged again for my membership on 7/13. I call and speak to a front desk person, who was warm and friendly. I explain the situation. She tells me the customer service manager will give me a call in a few minutes and sort it out. I then call the customer service manager and leave a voicemail, just to be on the safe side. The customer service manager calls me back and is nice, at first. She tells me she has no record of my request and therefore, I would be charged for this month. She then emailed me a form to complete my cancellation. I tell her that I appreciate her looking into it for me and I would be happy to pay for the month of June, but it's not my fault that there was no record on their end and I would not be paying for the month of July. Mind you, I didn't book a single appointment in June OR July. She said there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to someone else and she said "I'm the highest person here, there's nothing more to do." I thanked her and asked to be removed from all of their emails. I have spent a lot of money here and really enjoyed the staff. I have had services, purchased multiple products, and been a long time customer. That being said, I would NOT recommend having a membership unless you want to be gaslit into paying for services and memberships not received. I also would NOT recommend letting them keep a credit card on file. Perhaps other locations are not in the business of losing records and charging customers long after the membership has been cancelled, but this location certainly is. ETA: I will be reporting this incident to the BBB should no one from Hand and Stone reach out to rectify this. read more

I had a gift card for a facial, and the facial was fabulous (except for the aggressive product push afterward). When I presented my gift card, they claimed there was no balance on it, despite it being in my purse since I bought it. They tried to find the invoice, which wasn't in their system, and that led to more confusion. They did credit me with a portion of the original gift card total. About the product push: I did buy the product she recommended because it felt really good going on, but realized after the facial that the product was sluffing off of my face. I took the product back, completely unopened, and they refused to refund my money. This was the 2nd time I used their services (the first time I also experienced problems when checking out), but I won't go back. read more

Interesting place. Massages are good. However, if you are considering a membership you might think twice. In my opinion, this place is all about money. They put on a good front but have no interest in their clients, keeping their clients, or developing a solid relationship with them. It is all about the money they bring in. Becoming a free agent and really finding a place to that offers great services and cares about their customers is my choice. I have to update my review because you should know they do NOT accept returns on products, not even unopened, two days later. When I called to ask, I was transferred, put on hold, and disconnected, repeatedly. Finally I got someone who literally read the policy to me, that even opened products could be returned within 30 days, but only to the store where you bought them. Great! But the next day, I drove 25 minutes to the store, to be rudely told the person I spoke to was supposedly "from the call center" (I dialed the store directly...) and doesn't know their store policy, which is NO returns. I have never heard of such a thing. I said I didn't think that was acceptable and let them know that I wanted to cancel my membership, and then she went into the back to talk to her director about my return. It's an unreasonable policy and it was handled very unprofessionally, resulting in an unnecessarily stressful and frustrating experience. And the reason I joined was for a relaxing, spa experience! This echoes other reviews that have highlighted problems with customer service. It really feels very phony and two-faced -- they are nice to you as long as you're spending. I rarely leave a poor review, but I just can't allow others to go through my extremely poor experiences. I've been a member here for 6 years. The last year it's gone downhill to the point I can't continue going here. The front desk is different every time I go I , I've overheard incorrect information almost every time I go in for a massage, and I was told I have enough points for an upgrade, but didn't. I bought gift cards on sale and now need to pay the difference because prices went up. I've waited over 25 minutes for a late therapist without a word from customer service, they made a mistake and failed to acknowledge it. I paid for a massage with my gift card and they took the card and charged me a package instead. When I went the next time and didn't not have a package available, I had to pull one ahead. I went home and realized they never charged the gift card they took, but then charged me an addition $20 because it did not cover my massage. Had I not kept track, I would have lost a massage. I have to book online because it takes so long for them to find an open slot with my therapist. These are just a few of the issues I've had over the last year. Sadly that means saying goodbye to my massage therapist which is why I've continued despite all the issues. It's a very stressful place to go when I'm there to relax. You'd think for a loyal customer of over 6 years they'd want to do everything to keep me. read more

First off, they can't keep their therapists, which in itself must tell you about their business. I had 3-4 therapists I liked leave in a very short period. If you find one your comfortable with they'll probably be gone quickly. Secondly, I had a dispute with them over packages I had previously paid for. Lance(manager?) said he would investigate. He had a woman get back with me who said they didn't have records that far back and needed to contact corporate for records. Yeah right. She never got back with me. I am a huge fan of Hand & Stone. I wasn't sure if I would really use the monthly massage, but I do, and am very glad that I signed up for the monthly massage program. For $50, it's a bargain for having a wonderful pampered experience to reduce stress and muscle tension. I love my masseuse Jennifer, she's so wonderful, and always applies the right amount of pressure for me. I've tried the "hot stone" massage, but find it just ok, I'm just not a fan of the "hot stone" style. Aromatherapy is a nice indulgence, on particularly stressful days. I've also had a facial, with an Aesthetician, also named Jennifer and found it invigorating. I've lived in different states and 3 different countries, and having traveled the world all over, it doesn't get better than this in terms of service and price. Obviously everyone's experience will depend on the masseuse they get. I went through 3 different masseuse therapists before finding Jennifer, and while they were all ok, having found Jennifer, it was like finding heaven. I especially love the fact that when I don't get to use my month's visit, it just gets added to future visits, so I never waste a massage. #ProTip: 1. Book early, especially during the holidays 2. Make sure you get the text message reminders. I love getting these reminders the day before my massage, so I never forget my appointments. read more

This hand and stone has a nice waiting area this was my first visit to this particular hand & stone as I have a monthly membership. The first hiccups was trying to schedule the message over the phone, the receptionist was not happy or friendly. However we all don't have great days or friendly voices over the phone. Upon arrival it was 4 receptionist sitting at the desk 1 spoke. Fast forward to the massage she never asked me did I have any problem areas she just started massaging. Let's move on to checking out, they young lady seemed as though she needed help to check me out but did not know what to do. Nice folks. Very good facials and they aren't overly pushy about their products. Microderm makes skin look brightened and smooth as silk. Massages are great, therapists are very responsive to requests for emphasis on certain areas. Add-ons like hot stone, aromatherapy, and hand or foot treatments are a bit pricy for what you get. Like many places their business model is based on membership. The prices for non-members are definitely too high. I booked an appointment for June 3rd @ 9:00 PM. (6 weeks prior) for a massage. I drove 25 minutes and walked in to sign in and the lady proceeded to tell me I didn't have an appointment. This is the second rime this as happened to me. The first time I chalked it up as a mistake. Well about a few weeks ago I was sitting there waiting on my facial appt and witnessed someone else experiencing this same situation. Well to say the least this is the second time this happened to me. I am so disappointed. I own my own business and this just isn't acceptable.
