    How do they get these carpets so clean?

    It's a hotel equivalent of camping. Except for more dirt and bugs. Room service is non-existent. However if you bring your towels they will exchange them for dry ones. That is, if they have them. A cup full of crap was left on kitchen as a welcome. I will avoid place in the future.

    Absolutely disgusting!!!! Do not stay here!! RUN!! I am in shock at how disgusting this hotel is. Our first room had trash on the floor, a dirty cup on the counter, smelled like smoke, coffee grounds on the floor and counter, no toilet paper, dirty toilets, one unmade bed, everything was stained, and zero trash bags with trash in the cans. We switched to another room with dirty floors and trash on the floors, everything stained, Bathroom light not working, dirty mirrors. We switched to a THIRD room!! No tv in the bedroom, hair in the toilet, EVERYTHING STAINED, microwave/lamp/and refrigerator all didn't work, no utensils or pots, no trash bags. We tried to find another hotel but the entire city was booked due to several big events happening over the weekend. I asked for a vacuum and was told they don't have any. I asked a second time and was told I would have to come back later and see if they could find any. Finally, my husband went down and demanded a vacuum cleaner and one was brought to us about an hour later. I cleaned with my own cleaning supplies and the vacuum for over two hours! My husband asked for a tv, the guy said he would have one delivered in the morning. The second night he went back to ask for one and the lady at the desk told him no. The second day I asked for change for a dollar for the laundry and was told no also. I called Priceline and they could only offer me a 15% off coupon for another stay. My husband talked to the front desk and one guy offered him one night of compensation, bringing our bill down to $520!!! The customer service is awful, front desk lady is zero help, managers are nonexistent, the place is absolutely filthy!! Also the smoking. Oh my word the smoking. Everyone in Ohio comes to this place to smoke cigarettes and weed. Everyone smokes in the pool, on the balconies, around their children, in front of doors. There are signs that say no smoking all over the property but again it's something the staff does not care about and people are free to do whatever they want. Please, if you have children, or enjoy a clean place to sleep, please don't stay here. I'm still in shock at this whole experience. And I'm completely in shock at how expensive this was ($720 for three nights) and how no one is taking responsibility or being transparent and honest and good hearted. I will never use Priceline again and will never use the hotels affiliated with sonesta.

    This place had great ratings which shocked us considering the FILTHY conditions we discovered upon arrival. We had 3 rooms offered the first two toxic mold awaited us and all three rooms were filthy. We spent $169 on cleaning supplies because we had no options on another hotel due to events in region. This stay ruined our vacation and dampened the spirits of our sons wedding. Management leaves a lot to be desired. Many other guests complained of filthy rooms and air conditioning not operational

    First room they gave me was in the back building labeled Sleep lab. Room was run down poop stains still in toilet bed had urine stains. Crumbs on the pullout with crayons and brown marks. I called they gave me a new room after saying they were 100% booked and the 2nd room was worse! Black mold, stains on wall and the bed sheets and bed had urine stains that matched each other. Pullout couch was the same folded in crumbs. It was upsetting. It's been almost a week and still no contact for my refund!

    First time staying with Sonesta. Definitely a unique experience having an entire apartment like feel with a kitchen and living room. The pool and jacuzzi was a nice amenity to have. My only gripes were the wifi and bathroom. The wifi was extremely weak and kept dropping every couple minutes. The bathrooms are extremely small. When I say small, I mean there's barely enough room to open the door after taking a shower. For some odd reason, the sink is extremely short as well. I'm 6 ft tall and have to bend over to brush my teeth. Other than that, I was quite pleased with the stay here.

Clean rooms, slightly warm indoor pool, basic breakfast, and a standard lobby with friendly staff. Rooms have a standard amount of wear. Some of the bathroom fixtures were showing signs of damage, corners have dings, ceilings have bald spots and patches, nothing is dirty but everything just has those signs of use. None of it is offensive. with these styles of hotels having the same rough layout, it highlights the minor cosmetic flaws. Beds were firm, pillows were somewhat flimsy, and delivery services refused to go inside to drop off food. But the front end staff were very friendly and hospitable. All in all, it's effective as a close-by airport hotel. Nothing flashy, but affordable and functional. Go in with minimal expectations and you will find just enough to be satisfied.

The bed was neatly made, and the bathroom was neatly stocked with toiletries like bar soap, a bottle of 2 in 1, and towels with rags (2 body towels, two hand towels, and two rags). The floors also appeared freshly vacuumed. All throughout staying here, I never felt any impression of anyone having been in before us because it was so neat. There is a few complaints, especially with the bathroom, but not in the ways you'd think. First thing we noticed is how small the toilet is. I mean, low to the floor tiny. And the seat was ungodly uncomfortable. Going on a bathroom break that lasted more than several seconds means you have to get up a little and adjust your sitting or you're gonna go numb in your legs. And the shower, while being clean, was a little small (skinny). Besides the fact I was showering with my partner, the tub's flat bottom only has a little room for your feet. Example: stepping in you're bound to step on the steep curve to the tub as opposed to stepping on the actual bottom, so be careful. I've almost slipped a few times. Last and probably biggest complaint would be the inaccurate prices on google. The rough estimate after tax says on the prices tab that it would be $60-$61 nightly, while we paid two different prices for two nights. Thursday set us back $74.99 + $12.37 tax, and Friday set us back $79.99 + $13.20 tax! I was a little shocked at the up hike in the cost. The rooms are nice and all, but I didn't see a need for it to be so high. There's not even free breakfast here! You are basically just getting your room, and for food you have to pay extra. And you pay a LOT. Room service, which comes from a location separate from the hotel, is extremely pricey. We never ordered anything because of that. But all in all, we're pretty satisfied we chose to be here. It was clean, and fresh feeling. Price is a little steep, steeper than Google says, but not the absolute worst for what you're being given.

Checking in was decent, the lady working the front desk was very happy to help, she also did a nice job taking care of us by giving us new towels when housekeeping didn't refresh out room the next morning after our first night. The property itself it horribly rundown and in desperate need of being refurbished: * It has 3 elevators and one of them worked * The bathroom curtain was stained and the drywall around the tub was patched over more than once, not sanded and re-painted and just left to look disgusting * The HVAC in the room worked, but had a loud squeaky motor and it had to be controlled from the unit itself, even though there's a thermostat on the wall - made no sense. * The carpets throughout were stained and showed hi-traffic and not being cleaned * The lobby's cloth chairs were all stained and looked nasty * There was an exterior door to the lower level which was broken and left ajar * Gutters have come disconnected and are falling off the building * The bed sounded hollow when getting into it and sinking in it I could go on-and-on - Bottom line, I'd never stay here again!

What I arrived to looked nothing like the advertised photos. The rooms were filthy, dusty, and BOTH BEDS were visibly stained. I was with my toddlers after a 12-hour drive and my only focus was getting my children out of that disgusting environment without them touching anything. We were gone within 15 minutes and surrendered the key immediately. I was told at the front desk no refunds. I paid $209.58 through Priceline plus a $100 deposit in person. Priceline offered me $11. I then contacted info@contactchoicehotels.com where Christian Serra (Senior Customer Care Representative) had the audacity to respond claiming their records show I "checked in and stayed at the property." I arrived a day late due to travel delays and left within 15 minutes. That is not a stay. After a few exchanges Christian Serra sent a written email stating he would no longer communicate with me due to the nature of my allegations. Choice Hotels corporate offered 10,000 points which I declined. They directed me to the property via OH716@stayatchoice.com and there has been no response. FTC complaint filed (Report #201983571), Ohio Attorney General (Case #1241398667), and BBB complaint submitted. Check other reviews, for photos, I was in such a rush I didn't take any pictures & because I did not stay or use any amenities I assumed they'd be gracious enough to refund me with no issues. Clearly that was not the case smh. I don't even write reviews but this is absolute injustice. Do not book here. I ended up booking with Hotel Indigo Cleveland Downtown by IHG after leaving for the same price & had such a wonderful experience there!

About two weeks later I checked my credit card statement and I noticed a second charge for $105. I was advised that a woman would call me the next day to address the issue. Then, a week goes by and nobody called me back. I call the hotel again and they inform me that the charge was for taxes. $105 for taxes for two nights. Nope, that's a damn lie! I was very upset that nobody called me back and this was obviously a scam to try to charge more money. I told the front desk clerk to have a manager call me back because this was a mistake; I have the receipt that says taxes were for $39. Finally, a manager calls me back the next day to tell me that the charge was in error and they'd refund it within a week. Absolutely horrible service!
