We need to bring a get well gift to a friend we are visiting near the area and there is no better gift than to bring sweets. Glad that I found via yelp this bakery. Not only their sweets are sweet, even the staff are sweet. It smelled good when I walked in. The bakery is so homey. They followed Covid cdc guidelines. The location is perfect. There are so many selections to choose from on their display shelves. From pastries to cupcakes and breads. I heard so many good things about their cakes. Cakes should be order in advance. I was not disappointed with my pastries. My friend enjoyed it too.

Above and beyond cake with respect to presentation as well as (and even more importantly) taste. This was not just a pretty cake! We ordered the cannoli cake and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It is a tall impressive cake with flavorful layers and adorned with mini cannolis. My only complaint is that we had to wait for everyone to take their photos of this (stunner of a) cake before we could slice and serve! Ha. Everyone loved it. No leftovers!! Thank you Sonia.

Sonia's is the place to go! I took a trip to PA with some friends from NY for a birthday weekend celebration. Not only was exactly what I wanted visually but the cake was beyond delicious, all of our guests wanted a piece to take home and could not stop talking about how great it was. I ordered a chocolate cake with peanut buttercream; Id highly recommend Sonia's so much that we are literally considering taking the drive again next year just to have another Sonia cake.

Absolutely Outstanding - A Sweet Dream Come True! Sonia's Sweet Inspirations Bakery made our wedding cake, and it was nothing short of perfection. Not only was the cake absolutely stunning to look at, but it was also incredibly delicious -- our guests are still calling and raving about it! In addition to the showstopping cake, they created an amazing assortment of cupcakes in a variety of flavors for our reception. Each one was beautifully made and packed with flavor. They didn't stop there -- for our rehearsal dinner, they truly went above and beyond. The cannolis, flavored macaroons, and heart-shaped linzer tarts were a huge hit and showed just how much care and creativity they put into every dessert. I can't recommend Sonia's Sweet Inspirations enough -- whether you're planning a wedding, a special event, or just have a sweet tooth, do yourself a favor and stop by their shop. Worst management ever. Went back and forth on a custom cake via messenger and text to order my daughter a birthday cake. Paid for it in full. Showed up from NYC for my daughter's birthday trip and they looked at me like I was crazy. No cake. No recollection of me even ordering the cake. Wtf. Now I have devastated 14 year old. Taste test. I am Looking for a bakery that has delicious chocolate cake so I heard if Sonia's Sweet Sensations I drove down there Saturday before driving my kids to big wheel and grab a few cupcakes. We got there maybe a half hour before closing and the cupcakes were fresh and very tasty. We are a fan and will be ordering my cakes from there. It is a must try not only should you try chocolate strawberry cupcakes try her straws and cream cupcake. read more

These cupcakes are amazing. I worked for professional bakeries in New York, so when special occasions pop up I usually bake my own sweets. I simply didn't have time so I took a chance on Sonia's and I was not disappointed. I bought a dozen cup cakes and they were all amazing -- and I'm a tough critic with cake! You can tell everything was made 100% from scratch. The buttercream was obviously home made and not that super sweet junk you usually see used. The cakes were moist and flavorful and they had a wonderful variety. Aside from that, the customer service was phenomenal. Very attentive and friendly. I will absolutely be a repeat customer. read more

This place has the best cupcakes we have ever tried. When we travel we always look for cupcake shops and like Dorothy said, "there's no place like home". Cupcakes $3.50 each or 12 for $30.00 and well worth the price. Have not tried the cookies because they seem a little pricey to me. Try this place, you will not be sorry. read more

This bakery is beautiful and everything looked so good! Beautiful atmosphere, too! I picked up birthday cupcakes today and they are amazing! So moist and decadent! Also, I asked Sonia if she would try to replicate icing that my friend's mom used to make when she was little. I told her what it was like, and Sonia hit the nail on the head! She loved it! This shop is beautiful and they also have adorable cupcake stands, cake stands, aprons, and other decorative "homey" collectibles. Excellent! Highly recommended! read more

The cake was vanilla with strawberry filling and it tasted like a poorly done box cake with the edge almost burnt and barely any filling. I asked for a foundant cake and they told me they do not work with foundant, only regular frosting but hey will assure me it will look great. The cake looked like like someone made a cake for the first time, it was hard dense and hard to even swallow. It was a total disappointment and I would never order from them again. Too bad I looked up the reviews of this place after my wedding. Stay away from this place if you want a nice wedding cake.

I was shocked to learn it has been in business for over 30 years. My in-laws absolutely love this place and have been going there pretty much since it was open. First of all everything is squeaky clean. Not a crumb on the floor. The decor is extremely cool with a rock 'n' roll vibe and music playing over the speakers. Staff was super attentive and friendly. My wife has food, allergies, and they went overboard, accommodating her every request. I had the clam chowder which was a 10 followed by a roast beef sandwich, another 10, followed by strawberry ice cream, hot fudge with bananas and whipped cream. Absolutely wonderful. I can't recommend this place enough. What are the best food experiences I've had. Thank you so much!

I asked for a sample of their homemade ice cream and the server gladly complied. it was very good! too bad I was full, definitely next time.

There were even international candies! It is located on Main Street so there is street parking available. We treated ourselves to dessert so they serve Hershey's Ice Cream which was yum! They have the classic stuff like root beer and birch beer and then offer cotton candy and pickle soda. The train going around overhead took me back to my childhood. The $5 candy box has always been a favorite of mine since I first visited the strip district location years ago. The staff was turning the store over from Halloween to Christmas when we visited but were still friendly and welcoming.

Fabulous! We ordered 130 cupcakes for our wedding: Dubai chocolate pistachio, vanilla, carrot, coconut, chocolate raspberry, and lemon blueberry. They were a huge hit--every flavor was completely gone except the lemon blueberry cupcakes. Carl was super easy to coordinate with and very flexible about the flavor breakdowns. I love Sonia's sweets! After seeing on facebook that she made cupcakes in order to donate proceeds to those who have suffered through Hurricane Harvey I had to stop by! She had made the most delicious Texas sheet cake cupcakes with chocolate icing sprinkled with pecans! And let me tell you, that was no average icing! So i got 4 to share with my family. Sonia's Sweets are the best in the area! Everything is made from scratch. Her cakes are beautiful and her decorating is amazing. I have ordered many of her goodies and I have never been disappointed. Sonia takes the time to create just what you want for any occasion. If you need something short notice her bakery is always full of sweet treats that you can just walk in a purchase. Crazy assortment of cupcakes, pastries and cookies made from scratch. Be sure to preorder cakes; they make the best custom cakes around and book up quickly. Check out over 15,000 pictures on Facebook under the business name. This past Saturday, they had more than 30 varieties of cupcakes alone. Sonia is the best baker in the area in my opinion. Reasonably priced and always gives me something beautiful. I've gotten quite a few cakes or cupcakes from her for special occasions she even makes me keto ones! I never forget to grab at least one or two from what she has from the case because she always has something new for me. read more

I ordered a variety of 12 cupcakes for a small family celebration after seeing this bakery featured on a local TV station. Not only were they delicious, they were beautiful as well, everyone loved them. Sonia's is my new go to bakery for my special occasions and probably a lot of not so special ones.
