Ordered 2 lemon berry slushies in the drive thru. The girl was extremely rude and had a nasty attitude. She told me they didn't have it despite me ordering it 2 days prior. Then she says ok they have it & brings me out a strawberry shortcake one with ice cream. After I told her those are incorrect she stomped out and was screaming at other people in the back. She then comes to the window with These pictured below. It's definitely the correct slushee but I ordered a large & these are not the right size. The large typically comes in a large styrofoam cup. If these are new large cups then I would hate to see the medium. This is the typical medium size. Her attitude was so terrible I would rather pay the extra and just order through Ubereats then deal with her again. She kept rolling her eyes, stomping her feet and storming off when she brought the wrong drinks.

I come here mainly for the slushies and sometimes for the corndog when they are $0.50. You can drive up and order at one of the parking spots or go inside and order at the automated kiosk. The drinks and slushies are half price during happy hour 2p-4p and shakes are half price after 8p. The cream slushies are pretty good and you can add nerds or jolly ranchers for extra diabetes. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . I finally made my way out to the burbs to do some shopping at the outlet mall and found my way to this Sonic. I was impressed with the service at the drive-in since I've never experienced it before! You just pull up to your own car park and take your sweet time to evalute their menu. You can find all kinds of selections to suit your cravings from their famous coney's to their burgers, salads, chicken strips and drinks of all kinds - you can even add cherries, limes or lemons - just ask! I was happy with my sandwich - it was a beef and bacon toaster - and it was just as big as the pictures. It was a little cold on the inside but probably because it was stacked with fresh tomatoes and lettuce and ample pickles. Serive was really fast - brought to me by a guy on rollerblades who read my order out to me to ensure it was correct. My question is, am I supposed to tip these guys?????

I remember years ago when news spread like wildfire that Sonic was coming to the Chicagoland area. Well, I don't know what all the hype is about. The food really isn't that great; it's your typical fast food served to you by grumpy teenagers. I've done the "carside" (is that what it's called?) ordering once, and needless to say I found it more of a P.I.T.A. than it's worth. So, this time I decided to go the drive-thru route. Heading over during my hour-long lunchbreak, I was pleased to see it only took me 12 minutes. From entering the drive-thru to getting my food took about 10. So, that left me with 38 minutes to eat and get back to work. Not a problem. So I get in the drive-thru line and star at the menu board, torn between a Chicago Style hot dog and a Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Well, seeing as how payday isn't until the 27th, my cheaper half won out so I went with the hot dog (and a bottle of water). The girl who took my order had about as much personality as a banana. When I pulled up to the window, she was definitely scowling. I guess it's my fault for being hungry, ordering food, and making her work. Shame on me. After receiving my order, I pulled into the outskirts of the Walmart parking lot to inspect/eat my food. On the outside, the hot dog appeared to be fully loaded. Bright green relish, celery salt, mustard, onions, sport peppers, tomato, pickle, and poppy seed bun. Yep. Looking good so far. I took my first bite and was quite surprised that the taste matched my expectations. Sure, it wasn't THE BEST Chicago Style hot dog, but for a fast food place, it was about right. The celery salt may have been a bit lighter than I would have liked and there was a little too much relish, but it was still a tasty dog. I'd probably try Sonic again sometime, but I don't see it being a place I'd stop at regularly. It's a bit far from home, and although I made it back to work with time to spare, something tells me the next time I won't be so lucky.

I had already decided I wanted to use the drive-thru, but I was surprised to learn once there that you have to line up in the strip mall parking lot. They have staff and yellow cones set up to direct traffic. The staff communicate via walkie/ear pieces. The staff member who was in charge of getting us in the right parking lot queue, handed out menus--which made it MUCH easier than when I go to Portillo's or Buona Beef where they expect you to know the menu by heart. I got there at about 11:40 am, and after about 20 minutes I finally got from the parking lot up to the building at the drive-thru queue. After another 5 minutes I reached the voice box so that I could give my order: a large order of onion rings, a large order of plain tots, mozzarella sticks, and a plain limeade. Every one of the staff members I dealt with in the parking lot's "excess queue" and at the drive-thru were really great, so I was pleased with my first Sonic experience, even though I had to wait a while. Now, it was just a matter of how the food tasted... The first item I bit into was an onion ring, golden, crispy, not too oily, and well cooked (the onion portion was just as tasty and easily biteable). The only issue I had w/ the rings was a sweet taste indicating they probably added some sort of sweetener to the batter. The tater tots were crispy outside and mushy (like mashed potatoes) inside, a pleasant surprise from the usual tots I'm used to. They were a little too salty for my taste, and then right after the saltiness I noticed a beefy taste--like when biting into very bloody steak. I'm almost 99% sure they cook the tots in beef grease--and as a vegetarian (for health reasons) I really didn't appreciate the surprise. GRR Finally, the mozzarella sticks are just perfect: crispy outside with herb breading and delectably soft and melty inside. These I'll come back for...just skip the crappy marinara sauce--they also gave me the option of ranch dressing but I'm not a really big fan. The limeade was like a sprite on limey steroids. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but he fizzy loveliness and crushed ice were just the perfect, refreshing thing to have on a hot August day. Definitely will return for another one, and will probably play with the strawberry flavor next time. Hypey

The 4 stars is for drive-in fast food service. I'm not sure there are actually all that many choices, but if that's what you want, this is the place for you. This Sonic is new and clean. The burger was Whopper sized and a good value at $2.59, and the bun was fresh. The Deluxe junior burger was also a good value for $1. The chocolate shake met expectations. It was kinda fun to order from a drive-in stall, charge with credit card, and eat in car after the carhop brought the food out. Service was quick (maybe 4 minutes on a busy Saturday). We lived in Houston for 4 years, but never dropped in on the ones we saw there - maybe this new one was the draw...

I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was completely wrong --- the portions are enormous, the textures are great, the flavors are incredible, and everything I tried was done very well. This is on top of fast friendly service, and a very unique interior. I went here with 3 friends and would absolutely love to come back again soon with even more. As I mentioned, the food here is just awesome. It's clear how much care is put into every single dish with the great presentation, attention to small details, and refined product. I highly recommend the tuna poke, maybe one of the best versions I've ever had of this dish. This has plenty of fish on top of extremely crispy wonton chips. The mix of creamy avocado puree, jalapeno salsa, honey wasabi, and sriracha aioli is incredible. This reminds me of the bold flavor combinations at Girl and the Goat at a lower price point. The bang bang shrimp was another winner with super crispy tempura shrimp served with a delicious sweet chili sauce and cabbage slaw. For anyone who's ever had this dish at Bonefish Grill, you'll be thrilled with this version as well which comes with a very generous amount of shrimp. The burgers were also on point -- both enormous in size and full of flavor in every layer. In addition to perfectly cooked patties (this was great for both the beef and bison I tried), I was pleased that all the components of the burger were very flavorful and well done. That is, the brioche bread was slightly toasted inside, the pickles had just the right level of acidity and texture, the pork belly was super flavorful in itself and cooked great without making the dish feel too fatty, the egg was slightly runny, and the vegetables were all super fresh. Unsurprisingly, their sides were prepared to perfection as well -- with crunchy onion rings and super tasty fries. Overall, this restaurant is worth a special trip and I aim to try every single starter they make soon. It's not often that I'll be thinking about a restaurant long after dining there but the excellence displayed here has left a lasting impression both with myself and my friends that dined here. The excellent meal here definitely made for a very memorable birthday dinner for the party.

Parking could be a little issue since, while they do have a little lot, it is shared by a lot of other buisineses. However, there shouldn't be a huge issue finding somewhere to park depending on the day and time. I arrived here for lunch on Sunday and we had no issues parking. Inside is very clean. The building was bigger than I imagined.... I don't know if they expanded or not but I always thought it was small especially since I normally at near the front door. For lunch, I tried "Fire in the Cairo"... it was a burger with bacon, cream cheese sauce, jalapeños and a jalapeño jam, and I upgraded my fries to their loaded baked potato fries which came in nacho cheese, sour cream, bacon, etc. The burger itself (as well as the fries) were delicious. The jalapeño jam was not spicy at all to me but my tolerance is very high. Overall, I would get the burger and the fries again. Overall, the visit was great. Clean building. Not a five-star culinary experience. Just some comforting Southern seafood. Instead, I got a life lesson. Before I get into it, I want to be fair. Almost every review I found says this place is fantastic, so maybe I caught them on an off night, or maybe Mercury was in retrograde and my catfish offended somebody. The order arrived about 30 minutes later than expected, which probably did not help the temperature, but what followed went well beyond cold food. I ordered: - Pick Two Combo with shrimp, catfish nuggets, fries, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce - Grilled chicken salad with extra ranch - Extra ranch - Blue cheese - Special sauce A special request: Asking them not to salt the fries and to upcharge as necessary First, the positives, because there were some. They followed my requests perfectly. Everything was neatly packed, utensils and napkins were included, there was plenty of ketchup, the sauces were separated nicely, and the order was packaged with obvious care. Whoever packed it deserves recognition because they clearly cared. The portions were generous too... assuming you could eat them. Which brings me to the confusing part. The salad was incredibly underwhelming. Just limp greens with what seemed like Cajun-seasoned chicken tossed on top. It was not offensive. It was just sad. It had all the personality of an office waiting room. Then came the seafood. Friends... I have eaten catfish in tiny roadside joints, gas stations, family diners, and places so remote I was not entirely convinced they had electricity. Every single one of them was better than this. The catfish nuggets were almost entirely hard, crunchy edges and skin with very little actual fish. One sharp piece actually cut my gum. They tasted old, overfried, and suspiciously stale. Looking at them, I honestly wondered if they had been frozen, forgotten, rediscovered, and then fried out of obligation. The shrimp somehow managed to be both tiny and floppy at the same time. Temperature may have played a role, but texture and flavor were problems all on their own. The fries were cold, stale, and somehow tasted like absolutely nothing. Even if they had been salted, I am not convinced they would have developed a personality. Then there were the sauces. Everything leaned oddly sweet like someone had quietly replaced half the ingredients with corn syrup and hoped nobody would notice. I am giving two stars because I genuinely think there are two separate issues at play: The delayed delivery The actual quality of the food I received Given the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I am willing to believe I may be the exception rather than the rule. But based on this meal alone, I simply cannot agree with the praise. The seafood did not taste fresh. The catfish tasted old and stale, the shrimp seemed over-frozen, and the entire meal lacked the care and quality I was hoping for. Even the seasoning somehow managed to be simultaneously overdone and underwhelming. Most disappointing of all, I was not looking for perfection. I was looking for comforting Southern seafood. Instead, I paid to become a seafood detective. Maybe I will give Mayo Grill another chance someday because so many people seem to love it, but I would genuinely like to see photos from someone else's seafood order just to reassure myself that this was not some bizarre one-off experience. I finished the evening disappointed... and still hungry. And one final note. Absolutely no disrespect to the staff. Restaurant work is hard, and this review is not about the people. It is about the meal that ended up in front of me. I sincerely hope this was an exception rather than the standard.
