Pint of strawberry peppermint: literally nailed all this before heading home. LOL!!

Just what the lovely Fox Valley community needs: an artisan creamery full of color, personality and local flavor!! Here you can indulge in gourmet ice cream made in small batches. There are a ton of unique and interesting flavors to choose from, and their selection changes just about everyday! Also they offer two samples per person, so I advise that you choose wisely. During my visit, I opted for the eggnog and chocolate whiskey (w/ chocolate crispies) flavors which I never thought would have paired so amazingly together!! I am unfortunately removing one star, on account of perhaps receiving my order on one of yesterday's waffle cones, having been notably soggy (definitely not from the ice cream) on a certain area and just not packing that 'crisp' crunch I had desired so dearly. Having thought about it for awhile, although it was still crunchy, it seemed as rather a 'stale' sort of crunch throughout. I felt somewhat let down, as the aroma of freshly made cones at first filled my heart with inexplicable joy! Perhaps I was simply unlucky with this one. Although the one team member who took care of fulfilling all my ice cream needs was very efficient and hospitable, which I appreciated. The other reason my experience loses a star was due to the hot chocolate I ordered having been mid. I may as well have called it a lukewarm chocolate, considering that was the temperature at which I was served. It also was sickeningly sweet, as if some Russell Stover chocolate from Walgreens were melted in my cup, but maybe I am just spoiled by Chocolat Uzma's one. They seriously make the best hot chocolates and so far no other place within Chicagoland I've visited has topped theirs! But I understand the main focus here is the ice cream, so I'll get back to that. This was some of the most luscious, smooth, and velvety ice cream I've had in all of Chicagoland!! I know I had made excellent choices upon sampling the chocolate whiskey and eggnog flavors. I mean, could I really have gone wrong with any of the other flavors I didn't order, just considering how blown away I was by what I had?? I really liked how both flavors packed the perfect level of 'booziness' without being so over-the-top, still allowing the raw flavors of the decadent chocolate and nutty eggnog to shine through. Although I was not entirely sure how much alcohol content (if any) was in either of these flavors. Perhaps it was 'cooked off' or something. Also I could simply not leave without trying their strawberry peppermint flavor (only sold by the pint that day) which was a tantalizing flavor combination I would've never imagined working in decades! First I was hit with the very jammy (but not too sweet) strawberry swirls, followed by a cool refreshing burst of peppermint. The taste was so remarkable that I had no choice but to down the entire pint at once! I am seriously so surprised I haven't heard about this gem before (considering having been open since 2019). Despite the few minor kinks, at least they were unrelated to any of the ice cream itself. The ice cream, after all, is what makes or breaks the reputability of a creamery, which exceedingly had passed the test here!

I will say that their ice cream was good, but thats the only good thing I can say. The tables were all sticky and the staff was rude so it definitely is not worth going.

Such an adorable creamery with fun, unique homemade flavors. They also have standard flavors. The interior is colorful and cute, and they have a patio with a good amount of seating. The staff are super friendly and nice. And you do get a silver spoon with your ice cream haha!

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at Charlie's! I came as part of the Yelp elite event and had great customer service from all staff on my visit. From the person that took order, fulfilled order, checked me out, and even just cleaning the table. The flavors we tried on this visit were true luv, key lime pie, and Belgian cookie. All were great! Served in a delicious waffle cone. The only recommendation I have is the flavors are written on a mirror making it hard to see with the glare from the sun. I would recommend for a delicious summer treat!

A friend found this place so we headed over on a weekend for a sweet treat! On one of the first nicer "spring" days there were quite a few people coming in! We had samples of the chocolate whiskey flavor (nice that they used reusable spoons rather than plastic or bamboo like many), but I went with a cone of the Dreamsicle, made with tangerine and mango flavors I was told. It did have a tangy punch but seemingly not as much of the vanilla mellowness; still, tasty. The place is a cutely decorated small storefront with the big ice cream freezer and a few tables. Check the website for flavors but the same may not be reflected when you are there in person (they weren't all for us). There is a parking garage conveniently across the street! Overall, a fun stop for a scoop in downtown Aurora!

Our photo business printed some enlargements for the walls of a new ice cream shop. At the time, I was excited to hear all about the concept of the homemade ice cream shop. We finally got a chance to stop in this evening. What a FANTASTIC place! Bright and cozy storefront with friendly welcoming staff. I love the fact that all their flavors are made fresh. The butter pecan was creamy and bursting with flavor. The jalapina was a pineapple based sorbet mixed with jalapeno. It was seriously unique and delicious! The horchata was super smooth and full of cinnamon and rice flavors. Please support this great local shop. They are excited about what they do by crafting homemade treats with fun and unique flavors.

What a fun surprise! After seeing a show at the Paramount, we found this place on the way back to our car. I love shopping local and the tastes here do not disappoint. I got 2 scoops (which I rarely do but I wanted to try more than 1 flavor!), the cake batter which was pretty good, and the horchata that was delicious. If you like cinnamon, that's a must. I also couldn't resist a waffle cone, which you can smell immediately as you enter the shop. It is a bit pricey though, about $8 for what I got. But so happy to have finally found a local ice cream shop. Can't wait to come back to try more flavors!!

Each and every location features plentiful parking, a social media worthy interior, comfortable elegant seating, and quality desserts that consistently delight everyone who has the opportunity to try them. On my visit here, I tried a different set of items from my Schaumburg visit to test the consistency of quality across different flavor profiles and dessert types, and it delivered perfectly. The mango gelato here is incredible -- with probably the strongest mango flavor I've ever had in a gelato. The Lotus was an elevated version of one of my favorite biscuits. The gelato is incredible, creamy and flavorful -- and something I'd happily serve with most any dessert. The waffle was flavorful as usual which paired perfectly with the chocolate mix. I also wanted to try My Passion to get a mix of different fruits -- as I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fruit was at the other location. This was equally as great, with fruit presented at the perfect ripeness. Extra kudos to the kiwi which wasn't sour at all, and in fact was one of the first items to be finished completely. The pineapple was also super juicy, sweet, and flavorful. I wish we'd gotten more eclairs, as the filling was super delicious. Maybe the weakest item in this dish was the brownie, which was only good -- while everything else we'd tried was great to amazing. Overall, worth a special trip for any dessert lover. This business consistently delivers top notch dishes at very reasonable prices.
