I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in 6 months time, this location really changed! I arrived to find only a handful of operational stalls (about 4-5), but reluctantly pulled up to one anyways. After reviewing the new menu (it's been awhile), I pressed the iconic red button and waited. Just when I thought the button was broken, a young worker popped up adjacent my car window, pulled out their phone, and claimed they could take my order. Although baffled, I wanted ice cream, so I began my order- a Sonic blast with...I was then interrupted, "we don't have that". I guess I looked confused because he continued "we don't have that here, we have like a drink textured ice cream". Although I know he was describing a milkshake, Sonic is known for customizable drinks, good ice, and a McFlurry, Blizzard style treat called a Sonic Blast. The employee didn't offer any explanations, suggestions, or even an apology. We just sat and stared at one another until I said "okay, never mind. Thank you", to which he replied "you don't want ANYTHING else?" twice in escalating volume. I know it's hot, and I can imagine that Sonic wages leave alot to be desired, but just a little bit of care would have gone a long way here. By that I mean, just an inkling of customer service. Because I was unable to order, I was unable to leave feedback per the receipt prompt. So this review is meant moreso as a warning and attempt to redact my previous review of this Sonic location. With another Sonic location a mere 6 minutes up the road, literally 1 exit up on 290 (apparently owned by the same franchisees), I don't have the highest hopes for this one, but I do wish them the best, and hope they prove me wrong! read more

This is the worst sonic. It took over 20 minutes to finally get our food only for it to not even be the correct food. It's now taking over 20 minutes to get the correct food... I would've asked for a refund if I didn't need to feed my kids. The whole point of fast food is for it to be fast. If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would but unfortunately I have to give it a one. To start off they got our order wring after telling them multiple times what we wanted (we wanted a sweet top strawberry lemonade and we told them multiple times sweettop and they gave us a regular strawberry lemonade) And they second thing TIMOTHY IS HORRIBLE AND VERY RUDE he repeatedly touched our car after us asking multiple times to not touch our car or bang on our car after accusing my husband that we weren't paying attention but only gave us 2 seconds to react and roll the window down. Two weekends in a row I've gone to this location and every single time my strawberry slush comes out light pink and tasting like ice. I've gone to sonic for years and this is my first experiencing a horrible slush. Not sure if it's the economy or the employees not knowing the correct ratios for a slush. read more

Go to Sonic. Lady ahead of me pulls through to window after some minutes of waiting because the speaker isn't responding and a carhop walking by says to pull through. I pull through after her. Sir, did you just pull through? Yes. The speaker wasn't answering. You have to either drive back through to the speaker or go to a spot and order from there. I can't order from you? No. But we're literally looking at each other right now. *stares* This isn't a one-off situation. They often get orders wrong and, while they will fix them, never apologize. I was once told they won't squeeze limes in drinks because they don't like touching them. The manager said I will have to order the drinks with a "squeeze request" in future. I don't recommend this location. Literally every single time I come to this location my order is not prepared correctly. I only go here for my son because he like hot dogs, but he doesn't like cheese on his hot dog. I order it with no cheese but it never fails that they put cheese on his hot dog. I give them the benefit of a doubt that they will get the order correct since they repeat the order back over the speaker correctly with no cheese, so I pull off before checking my order so that I'm not holding up the line only to have to pull back around each time because the order is incorrect...but what made me write the review this particular time is because the person on the speaker when so pulled back around, Christopher, has the audacity to sound annoyed and had an attitude. Well guess what, that made 2 of us all because you can never get a simple instruction correct. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME and go to another location that respect their customers and value their time. The speakers are so low you can't hear the attendant and it is not because of the Barker Cypress traffic. Waited at the stall for about 30 mins after pressing the button, then noticed staff turned the intercom off before I could order (this all occured three different times) I then pulled out and proceeded to get in line to issue my order, after dealing with the typical crap service I knew what was awaiting me (rude cashier's literally fast balling my order to me). The absolute worst experience at a sonic. After coming to look at some apartments near by we wanted to end our day on a good note so we came to this location. Pulled up to stall number 13 and the lady asked me for my order. I started talking and she started talking to someone else in the store over the speaker. She then again asked me what I wanted.... so I repeated myself and she screamed again "WHAT CAN I GET FOR YOU?!?". Then hung up.... I pushed the button and the process repeated it's self except this time , the lady said "oh my f*ckin god" and hung up again..... giving her the benefit of the doubt that maybe their system is just messed up. Moved my car to a different stall and pushed the button. Another lady answered and by this point I was so frustrated but I tried to stay calm. I started saying my order and this new girl decided to interrupt literally every other word. Instead of letting me finish my sentence and cutting me off I would continuously have to repeat myself. Finally got my order out the car hop came to the car and didn't say a damn word. So disappointed in our visit to Sonic today. We took our orders to go, and when we got home (less than 5 minutes away) and opened our meals the buns were rock hard. I could literally thump them and they had a small thud sound to them. The cheese on the burger isn't melted at all, and the meat is room temperature. I cant tell you how gross these burgers look. On top of that the tots in my sons meal are cold. Like ice, I had to heat them in the microwave just so he has something to eat while my husband takes the burgers back. To be fair I have been to this location for drinks many times, and am always happy with the service and beverages. This lunch experience has however been very awful. read more

One looked to be a manager. They both were swearing loudly and didn't seem to care about customers. Then after 10 minutes, I received my order. Well three strikes and they are out. We went for ice cream last night and once again were disappointed in the service, quality and cleanliness. Drove in tried to order no response were about to leave when someone came out to car to take our order ( two strawberry shortcake cones). Ten minutes later still no icecream and the staff is lounging inside some of them sitting on the food prep counter. Someone comes out and takes our order again this time we got the cones in about five minutes. Very disappointing, no cherry a tiny spot of whipped cream , a drizzle of strawberry syrup no strawberry pieces at all. And to top it off the cones were barely over half filled. Our order always seem to be missing something. Either that or we don't get the discount for some of the promotional items and have to call or stop by to get it fixed/refunded.
