I really dont want to even give "ONE" star...this place was extremely rude today...The so called manager Timothy was a complete moron...Our food came out at 9am cold....I initially asked to remake it BUT the other employee who bought the food out was filthy dirty so I asked for a refund for everything except what we ate...Timothy response was "really?? after yall sat and ate the food??..How about I call the police?"...LOL...OMG..it went down from there...had to call corporate and the police... Update: The next morning I tried calling to speak with the manager whose name is supposed to be Jeff...coincidently Timothy answered the phone and long story short, said he cant tell me manager name or what time he will be there...so my next step is calling CAL OSHA and BBB and expose all the video that we recorded of them...how nasty their uniforms were, the fact that we caught the carhop working on a blue truck in stall #10 l, uniforms looked like he doubles as a JiffyLube employee and gave the man a Route 44 drink and a bag of food and no money was exchanged...yes we have all that on video... Do not come here! Workers take way too long. They take more than 30 mins just to make a milkshake or a slush. Waited in line for more than 15 mins just to take my order and we were the only ones in line. It's not even busy. I came to town to visit family and had a craving for some Sonic. I ordered a cheeseburger and there was NO cheese. I ordered jalapeño poppers, popcorn chicken, fries and there were NO sauces provided. A slush with nerds (NO nerds inside). It took about 12 minutes to get my food! What's even worse is my debit card wasn't given to me right away after purchasing. It took about five minutes to get my card back, and I began to suspect them trying to get my card number. All the Sonics in Bakersfield are fast and already provide sauces for specific orders and get it right. I will not be coming back to this Sonic here in Delano! No woo hoo's for this place! read more

For this restaurant being in a small town, the idea and concept of a Sonic here should actually work really well. Gives kids and young adults a place to go on the weekends. Despite these opportunities, THIS PLACE SUCKS. The owner should more carefully screen the people they hire as the service here is probably the worse service I've ever had. I've been here probably 30 times since my stay here in March, and every single time service was horrible. One time, they cut me off while I was ordering and I had to call from my cell phone to inside to let them know they cut me off. Another time, I sat at a stall for 20 mins before they came onto the intercom to tell me they were only doing drive thru at that time. Takes forever for them to take your order. If you don't have enough help, then hire more, and be picky about who you hire. Food is always ok, but not great like it should be. Sonic blasts never have enough toppings mixed in and they are only on the top, not mixed throughout. Whomp whomp whomp!! They almost ALWAYS do NOT get my order correct. Feeding a family of five, I'm usually leaving there with about $60 of food and they just never get it right. I think I'll take my $60 per meal and go somewhere who will work hard to make my dining experience nice. It's really not a lot to ask for. If I could give them a ZERO, I would!! read more

Really a NEGATIVE star!! This is the rudest and worse SONIC!! It's sad that since it has opened there has been no change. Management must not care because most of the employees are rude and give horrible service. So either it's continuous horrible management or maybe the same rude employees that obviously hate their job and maybe even their life because they are stuck working at the Delano sonic... Idk but I'm hoping that someday there will be a change but doubt it. Also, the Delano business hours NEVER match what it says online for that location... First off, This is my very first yelp review. I'm from out of town and there are not many Sonics from where i'm from but this is the worst ever. I ordered the 6 pc boneless wings combo only to receive the wings warm and the fries cold. I then asked an employee if i could get new fries, she walked in to ask someone if she could serve fresh fries and said "oh he said no i don't know, i don't remember but..." And walked away. Her work ethic was diminishing. She seemed like a new hire, i'll give her that. When the guy (in the picture) came out i asked if i could get fresh fries. He said to give him 1-2 minutes so i waited. 15 minutes later after he had gone to talk to his friends in a car, sitting around, and denying other people requests he finally served the fries... On the other side of the table. Not to mention there is dirt on his arms and under his fingernails, stains that seemed like his clothing has not been washed for days. I even heard a lady claim "is it me or does it smell whenever he walks over here". On top of all that he overcharged other customers for a refill and he pocketed the change. Came here at night time, the door says 7 am - 12 am. Came like at 11 pm And there was 2 or 3 guys working. I was tryin to order and none of them helped me. Pressed the red button like 7 times. And all they did was looked at me through the window. While sitting waitin inside my car, one guy walked to the door and locked it! He knew we were waiting. I give this place 3 thumbs down me and my 3 sisters stopped in to buy food at 930 am we recieved our food it was cold and we had to send it back mind you we noticed another employee outside in the parking lot helping someone he knew work on a car . So once our food was ready to be sent out guys who brings it out the guy who was in the parking lot when he came out this guy was so dirty he looked as if he had engine oil over his shirt his hands and nails were filthy at 9am so we all decieded to give the food back and ask for a refund. First thing about this horrible location. They forgot to add ketchup, like most places. Then I drove home with my drive through order and found out that I was missing an order of tots. But that didn't really bother me. What bother me was when I took the first bite of the grill chicken club sandwich and the meat was burnt completely.
