We stopped for Ice cream shakes after our lunch at the mexican place up the road. I've only been to a Sonic a couple of times, needless to say why. Ordering over an intercom was a challenge we managed to get our ice cream sundaes and fried cookie dough. Alright...not my kinda place. Good to know they turn off the ice cream machine 23 minutes before closing. - I went to order some Oreo blasts and the person taking orders never stated they shut down their ice cream machine. I sat there for a couple of minutes deciding what to order but they could have told me they turned off the machine. If you close at 10 PM, why turn off machines before closing? I get you want to leave ASAP but turning off machines before closing, that's a big no-no. read more

4.13.21 I'm _really_ disappointed here ~ I don't know Sonic from a hole in the ground but I was told to meet some folks there for lunch to - day (Tuseday) . I arrived and the friendly, cheerful and helpful workers were opening up and got my cold drink done quickly . Then I used the bathroom ~ GAH ! . I have photos I took that I'll try to post later, it stank, had no soap in the TWO dispensers , NO TOWELS and clearly had not been cleaned in weeks much less days ~ I've been on bathroom duty so I know *exactly* how nasty a public bathroom can get but I also know the look and special smell of weeks old feces and urine ~ the seat was nasty top and bottom, papers every where, trashcan over flowing etc., etc., the walls were gross too ~ one young male employee was just sitting on his bum right outside the bathroom door texting away, I'da fired him for being that lazy . Time to STEP UP management ~ you cannot just say "I tell them to keep it clean" and never check . I certainly hope the kitchen employees have a separate bathroom or at least a sink with hot water, soap and towels because this dump doesn't and thinking of them touching food with unwashed nasty hands made me only have a cold drink . The concrete aprons were also sticky and black with grime ~ it's a simple thing to rig out a hose from the water heater, wet it down and scrub with a push broom ~ I did it when I had K.P. duty and never allow anything so nasty . -Nate read more

I paid $9.07 for a large drink, large tots, and two sad hot dogs... it wasn't even busy and when I got my food it wasn't even hot.. I ordered my food at 10:22p and didn't receive pass 10:30p. So my food been sitting looking all sad.. I'm very disappointed.. I couldn't go back and complain because Sonic closes at 11p and I got home 10ish mins to closing.. Daisy took my order and she wasn't good at it. I found myself repeating so many times of the same orders so I had to ask her to repeat my order back because I didn't trust her on getting everything I asked for which wasn't even a lot of food.. And so, another girl gave me my food while I was waiting for awhile that there was then a line. I'm so sad... I feel like they robbed me of my hard working money when they can't even work hard to put out food correctly.. There is nothing good about this establishment. TERRIBLE service and below average food. Went this afternoon, with the intention to buy a couple of milkshakes and an order of mozzarella sticks. I was astonished when the cashier served me with a terrible attitude. The cashier had her own head up her behind . The ambiance was terrible. Allow me to break down what happened; I arrived at the drive through at about 6 pm or so. When I pressed on the button to ask for assistance with taking my order, the worker answered with an exasperated demeanor. I kindly told her my order, which is where my experience went downhill. The worker rudely interrupted me and told me to speak up, which was fine and I did. Shortly after, she interrupted again. This time, I asked if my tone was fine and she didn't respond, so I continued. Finally, she rudely told me, "It seems like you don't want to understand me..." in the RUDEST tone ever. That was when I pulled out of the drive through and left. To anyone reading this review, do not spend your money on this establishment! Spend it on an establishment with well trained employees!!! read more

Sonic is a great place to get a quick craving fix. Whether you're craving sweets or something fried, they have the basic goodies. And it's nice to be able to pull up in your car and get what you're looking for. Sometimes we just want a small ice cream so I bring the kids and we get a little sundae or a shake. Then, there's times we want something salty so we stop by and pick up some fries, tots or a hot dog. The Chicago dog is my favorite and my boys usually get a corn dog. This place can be hit or miss. I've come here before and had great service. There's a young lady and a guy that always make everything perfect the way I like it and they give great customer service. And then I've come here and received a burnt burger patty with rude service. It's been a while since that has happened, though....knock on wood! So hopefully they keep up the great service and great food! We'll keep coming back after school for our quick snacks or dinner. Thank you! We will be back :) read more

Didn't really even get what I requested fixed my order when she read it back to me trying to correct things she acted like she fixed it but when I saw my order WORNG! asked for French fries received tots. Sonic Drive-in located in Delano, California has terrible customer service, bad quality food and a poor looking atmosphere. The burgers are not of high quality neither are the burgers freshly cooked. Me and my grandmother ordered burgers and the burgers were not properly cooked. The food was almost frozen. The workers responded rudely and claimed that the burgers "were just like that." Me and my grandmother had to insist the workers to properly cook our food. Undercooked food can cause food poisoning and can harm customers. At first the workers refused to comply with our needs as customers and then gave in and made us another burger. Most sonic restaurants have poor atmospheres and bathrooms which are filthy. It is rare to find a Sonic Drive-in with bathrooms that are clean. Overall, my experience at Sonic was terrible and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in cravings for a properly cooked and delicious burger. read more

This place is not my favorite, but it's scooting distance from my house so it's a big treat for my kiddos! It's a mile away from our house so when the weather is nice and we have time the kids get their scooter and we'll go on an adventure. I usually get a cherry limeade, the kids get popcorn chicken or tots, and the husband gets a malt. I pick from the kids chicken and tots but I don't like them enough to order any for myself, the burgers and fries are sad, so in my opinion the cherry limeade is the only thing on the menu worth getting. The dining tables are always always always dusty and dirty. They do not clean them enough. There are ever really any costumers and yet they still take a while to take our order and serve us. Terrible costumer service! i ordered 4 things for the menu, a burger plain with cheese, 4 piece mozzarella sticks, strawberry lemonade, and a cherry slush with vanilla ice cream. My burger wasn't plain, my strawberry lemonade had no strawberries, my slush had no ice cream and they didn't give me straws or napkins or marinara sauce for my cheese sticks. When i asked the girl for something i was missing she would shut the window so fast i couldn't continue telling her what else was wrong. On top of all this they where extremely slow. This place is practically new. Amazingly I can't believe they put one in Delano and there isn't even one in San Jose where I'm from. The lot is clean and the staff are trained well. Every time I visit this sonic I have terrible experiences with the service and the amount of time they take to get my order out to me whether they are busy or not. They didn't get my order right, and even though we repeated it multiple times, to make sure everything was right. My brother and I went to go order shakes. He ordered a caramel and when we finally got it we found out it was peanut butter!! Was there tonight for a couple of milkshakes took 45 minutes in the drive thru. First the girl was clueless and couldn't get 1 chocolate shake, 1 strawberry shake and a vanilla ice cream cup. She said she didn't understand "cup" since they refer to it as a dish... and tbey only have one size... seriously dish vs cup? So we received our order after the correction at the window and our 2 milkshakes had flat lids (so no whipped cream and cherry? Bummer since they didn't even ask but made it this way). But that was the least of my troubles. After drinking on my milkshake I kept chewing on something hard and grass tasting. So after the 4th time I stopped drinking until I could investigate. After I got home I realized my milkshake literally had the green stem blended into the shake. Nasty. So beware. I went to this Sonic last night cause it is close to work. They took forever in the drive through line but I don't blame them because it's summer time. I ordered a sonic blast and spicy pop corn chicken. By the time I got the the window the young man hands me my basta but tells me that they accidentally made regular popcorn chicken, I told him it was fine. When I finally got back to work I check my bag and they gave me the chicken but left out the sauce. I wish they would pay more attention to the orders, I understand it's busy but perhaps a bit more attention can help them a lot. read more

This is probably the slowest "fast" food place in the entire world. I ordered four fountain drinks and waited for 30 minutes. I asked one of the workers why the service is so slow. We don't come to this location for the food. It's not the best Sonic for that. Although the spicy popcorn chicken is good. What they do have is awesome Cherry Limeades. I often will stop through here for some cold drinks for the family. They also are great for fulfilling that ice cream craving. I always enjoy the Carmel sundaes and the hubby likes the Sonic blasts. The employees here are straight up rude. We asked them for a little extra syrup in our slushies cause it tastes so plain whenever we get them and they charged us extra for everything. The other time, we asked a simple question and instead of answering politely they want to be straight up rude about it. Customer service sucks bad on top of that we had to wait 10-15mins in line just for them to give us crappy service! I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star!
