Now, technically, it's not hidden: it's perched on the south bank of one of Brownwood's busiest thoroughfares, but it's a humble building with a little green sign. What's inside, however, is a nice pair of proprietors and, most importantly, Blanton's Whiskey sold at retail. I got one of two bottles (with the letter "A" on the ornate cork, for those of you who collect Blanton's stoppers) from the shelf. Every inch of shelf space is accounted for here and the selection is surprisingly broad and deep for a small store. These people clearly care about their customers. I'm only in Brownwood once or twice a year, but I'll assure you those visits will include a stop at Classic.

My first thought when i walked in here was everyone must be at Total Wine lol. That place is packed every day. So it was so empty I actually thought it was closing. There's several empty shelves where beer or something should be. There's a good selection of Texas beers and their prices are almost on par to Total Wine. Maybe a dollar more on some beers and liquor. The key to this place is that it never seems too busy so no lines. Very quiet during the weekdays and the staff is very nice.
