For 7 yrs we love seating at the bar area. It's never a dull moment there. The atmosphere is so alive. The food is great.

Service was good, clean place. Server's friendly. Typical Chilis. I haven't been to one in many years. Stephenville food choices are not great so I wanted to give it a try. Came for the triple dipper. Chose the Nashville hot chicken and it was good, not really hot though. Had the burger bites. They were ok bread a bit dry and dry overall. Choose the honey chipotle mozzarella sticks. Mozzarella sticks were barely warm, no cheese pull. I shouldn't have got the chipotle honey. Way too sweet for me. Next time I would go with plain. Overall was a good experience. I'll come back. So if you're looking for Chilis you found it. read more

Stopped for a bite to eat while in town touring the university. The customer service is great, our drinks were refilled without asking and we were asked several times if we needed anything. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and on a Friday after work it filled up pretty fast. The food is good for Chili's and everything was warm/hot. One of the sirloin's was a little tough but I really enjoyed the mashed potatoes. read more

I truly appreciate a positive restaurant experience--something that seems pretty rare these days. But I was so impressed with our local Chili's in Stephenville that I had to share. This was my second time using the app and I had earned a free item through the rewards program. Although the app wouldn't allow us to add the item to our order, the Chili's staff went above and beyond and kindly brought it out to us with a smile. The order was quick, affordable, the service was pleasant, and the food was absolutely delicious. When I enjoy a meal this much, I'll gladly return time and time again. read more

I have been to this location many times before with no issues. This afternoon my girlfriend, our daughter, and I had a late lunch/early dinner. Our waitress rocked, we ordered cheese sticks with marinara sauce for an appetizer. Then once that came, I ordered the ribs with Mac-n-cheese and fries, and my girlfriend ordered a sirloin steak with loaded mashed potatoes, and broccoli. I had a water, and she had a Diet Coke. We shared the cheese sticks and Mac between the three of us, and our daughter enjoyed the broccoli. I mention what we had for the next unfortunate part of this review and everything tasted great. After paying and getting to the car, my girlfriend said her stomach started hurting out of nowhere. We raced home as she felt even worse on the way home and told me to step on it! So after arriving home, within a few additional minutes I started feeling bad, stomach, headache, nausea. Things occurred, we took pink stuff and relaxed for the night. Then within an hour, my toddler daughter started getting sick at her stomach and that continued. It was either the Mac or the cheese sticks and marinara sauce but one of those things got us all really sick. This was our only meal of the day. This place will be removed from our very limited choices here after this horrible experience - I wish the food or service would have been bad, but as I stated prior, our waitress was great and the food didn't taste bad at all. So Two stars for the service and flavors, but not a perfect five due to the later yucky stuff. read more

The waitress was very attentive and quick to get refills. The chips and salsa were very good and not stale like the other chilies restaurants I have been to lately so that was great. I ordered a medium rare sirloin with fries. The steak was cooked amazingly, and it tasted great, the fries were pretty good as well. (Flash into the past) 1 year ago (I went to this location last year with some friends when one of the waiters was very rude and aggressive with us. He wouldn't refill our drinks or get us anything without us asking, and when we asked he gave attitude and wouldn't come back for a while. We would then ask again when he comes back to the point we got up and asked another person for our stuff. Juju: Kids cheesy pasta was very cheesy and the chicken was good. Jules: combo fajitas were all right. Too many green peppers and lacked other vegetables. A small amount of onions which were good. In a word ... Amazing! We're new to the area and needed dinner as our goods have yet to arrive from out old residence. We ordered the Southwest Egg Rolls and a Shrimp Quesadilla. Walked in today, it should've been a sign that there were hardly any people there at 12:00. Was seated at a booth at the bar, three servers walked past me and never asked me if I needed anything, I finally asked if who was my server? They said the bartender. She had been looking at me the entire time. She told me she would "be right with me" and then proceeded to make four margaritas for some guys around the bar. Ate here tonight with my wife. We didn't have high expectations, after our last visit, but thought we would try again. While this isn't a steakhouse, the waiter said they are know for their steaks, (news to me) so my wife got a steak cooked medium. Again, we know if not a steak house, so we weren't expecting a perfectly cooked piece of meat. However, a purple steak is not acceptable. I ordered a quesadilla, seems safe right? Wrong, one bite in and I see a black hair in my food. Waiter comes over and food gets sent back to the kitchen. Quesadilla comes out great. Steak however went from purple to well done. That's what happens when you put a 6 ounce sirloin with no fat inside of it back on the heat for 10 minutes. We gave them another shot tonight, and they missed. Didn't even hit the backboard. No more Chili's in Stephenville for us. If you are looking for somewhere to eat, go to The Purple Goat. read more

Every time I come here it gets worse... service isn't great and food is terrible... not sure how you can mess up big mouth bite.. but they sure did. Burger was burnt on outside in several spots and extremely pink in center.. it look thrown together hardly any cheese or bacon. No flavor. read more

We had bad service, asking for extra ranch, refills multiple times and never receiving any until we were ready to leave. We will probably never eat in again. One of the best places to eat in Stephenville. Chili's is always consistent in the quality of food. We always get great service and know that our food will be perfect. They also have a great deals on Foursquare with each of the times you "check-in". The fajitas are always an awesome choice, the enchilada soup is to die for, the big mouth bites are always a solid choice and the chicken and guacamole sandwich is delicious. Margaritas are always perfect both on the rocks or frozen, the bar tenders do a great job. Chili's usually has a crowd but they are pretty good about getting people in and out. If you plan on bringing a big group I would get there a little early as it can be tough moving tables together when they are busy. Honestly one of the best places to eat in Stephenville even if it is a chain restaurant. read more

Every single time I got to this Chilis, I am disappointed. The food is always cold, burned, or not what I ordered. Mostly, it is ALWAYS burned! I keep going back because the servers are so nice and I think "hey this time it will be different!" Seriously, please change your cook! I would give this chillies 10 stars if I could. My husband is a truck driver and it is not easy for him to find a place to eat right now. To not he tried another establishment and was told they would not serve him because he needed to be in a car and come through the drive-through. He left that establishment and called Chili's. They definitely took care of him and another truck driver tonight. They went above and beyond for my husband and I will forever be thankful for them. I had to call and personally think the manager myself. My heart is so happy that there is still great customer service out there. read more

I liked everything about this Chilis, except for one thing. This is one of the few restaurants in the country where smoking is still allowed in the bar side when you walk in the front door. The smoke is unbearable and you have to walk through it to get to go to the restroom. The food was delicious and delivered in a timely manner. However, it is always disgusting to have to breathe that cigarette smoke when you walk through the front doors. Please! Stop allowing smoking in your restaurant! read more

He suggested the ribs, and i also got a presidente marg, which i was please to receive a souvenir glass with!! I was delicious!! I'm not a chili's fan (been served raw chicken too many times) but the husband really wanted it so we went. We shortly regretted it. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin medium and my husband ordered the chicken bacon ranch quesadillas. My steak came out still purple all the way through and my husband found a black hair in his quesadilla after his first bite. We sent them both back, we should have just left. They sent the SAME steak back and it was now well done, not medium. I expected I new steak to be cooked. My husbands came back hair free, we think. Now I'm not one to look for a free meal by any means, you go out to eat you're prepared to pay for your meal. However, usually when the restraint screws up, hair in food or under cooked steak, they usually take a meal off. NOPE! We paid full price and the mama her didn't even bother to come talk to us after sent our food back. Will not be returning. read more

We gave Chili's here in Stephenville one more chance after the debacle of our last visit & review. I did not reach out to Chili's in response to their comment on my review. I wanted to see if anything had truly changed after a month. I have to admit I was just too concerned to order anything that might have tomatoes any where near it. (Serious food allergy to fresh tomatoes.) Our food appetizer & entrees were both good. But once our entree was delivered to our table by the "co-server" we were on our own. We could not get our drinks refilled, no one checked to see if we got everything etc. The lack of drink refills was particularly irritating. Our server & the co-server both passed our table MANY times. Our empty glasses were on the edge of the table-not hard to see. I waved my empty glass at both servers - no response at all. We tried stopping both of them as they went by our table to no avail. Finally, when we were almost done, our server brought more tea. We wanted to order dessert, but had some questions so we couldnt order from the screen on the table. But our server never returned. He never even brought a check to us. We finally paid at the table from the screen. I didnt realize these screens were supposed to replace the servers. Our exprience makes it seem that Chili's should make their drink stations self service, like in fast food restaurants AND they could do away with servers & only hire food runners & hosts for the front of the house. I guess our expectations are too high. This is definitely not our experience dining at Chili's in other cities. I gave two stars since we did have edible food this go around. read more

Our server (ivette) was great to us and was fast but there were a few things that could of been better. The only issue I had was that the appetizer came a few minutes before our meals, the food quality wasn't the best and I got the classic bacon burger, the meat was dry and our Texas cheese fries didn't have enough bacon, or anything. Almost like a little hand full. If it was based off just the food I would of given a one star but the waiter made up for it. read more
