Time to update: I placed a mobile order for drinks, hotdogs and an order of tots. The drinks were made how I ordered them they even actually had nerds. The last time I visited and paid for nerds, they were out and didn't even tell me. My tots were not even warm, they were cooler than room temp. So I don't know how long they sat out or if they were fresh. And our hotdogs didn't have my requested pickles on them, again. So I set my pickup time for 1:30 and I arrived right on time, but they didn't bring my order out until ten minutes past my scheduled time. For the 3rd and last time I drove up to the drive thru waited patiently for 5 minutes with my window down in 102 degree heat then said hello anyone there. No response at drive thru. Ummm. Where do I start. Never in a million years would I have thought I would be writing a review praising Sonic...I just had this huge misconception about their food. Saw the reviews for their new smash burgers and decided to give em a try. My sister swears by Sonic and so off we went. Let me start by saying it was absolutely delicious. Ordered a double cheeseburger, added tomatoes, extra pickle and lettuce and it was a messy, juicy, mouth watering experience. I recommend they wrap in foil like their other burgers though vs a box. And the bun....so darn good. Their French fries were perfectly salted and I love crinkle cut fries. Both were served hot! My sis ordered the double cheeseburger with bacon. Loved it. She loves their mozzarella sticks. We literally ate here twice in one week....both times super fast service and the burgers were delicious. Head scratcher. We also ordered a double plain for my Gerberian Shepsky... that's a bougie way of saying part German Shepherd, and part Siberian husky. We all 3 ate in the truck and loved it. I have ordered from the Haslet Sonic accidentally, I live in Saginaw. I tried to cancel my order but they said it was already fixed. I drove all the way out there to get it. I did it again tonight, because I keep forgetting to change the location. Google says you can cancel the order within the first 5 minutes. I tried calling them 9 times but they wouldn't answer the phone. Finally, the 10th time, I called and someone answered. He wouldn't allow me to cancel my order even though I had been calling so many times. They are not nice people and do not care about you just your money. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This location is absolutely disgusting. Just ordered shakes and a sonic blasts for my children and my daughter's blast had pieces of styrofoam mixed into it! When I called to tell them about it the manager on duty had the audacity to yell at me that it was an accident and that their store is not disgusting! What a horrible experience and customer service. Ultimate Meat & Cheese Breakfast Burrito, no eggs: How large/ small is it... did you fill it up (as some do) or did you get skimpy (as others do). This one... right in the middle. 2. Corny Dog! The staple! Did it come with mustard, was it offered, or did I have to push the button and call the car hop back... here, I had to ask. 3. Jr. Burger (not deluxe)... My boyfriend ordered a mesquite bacon burger, and he ate most of it. Then found these disgusting ALIVE worms in the burger. He was mortified. No telling how many he consumed. This is nasty. I must commend Jack, he was by far the best carhop I've had at any sonic. He was very polite, respectful, attentive and courteous. Even in the well over 100 degree Texas heat, he chose to go above and beyond. He was the only carhop I saw while I was there, and he hustled the food out to each vehicle in a hurry, but did not rush away, making sure that everything was as it should be. There is not many young people today that are willing to do this anymore. This young man deserves a raise! Thank you Jack! Because of you, I will definitely be returning! read more

The food was decent, but the portion size and presentation were lacking. We ordered crispy chicken sandwich combos... one with tots and the other with onion rings. The tots were the best part of the meal. Sonic always has great tots! The onion rings were undercooked and bland. The sandwiches were tasty. However the chicken was smaller than the bun (just a regular sized bun) and the mayo was almost nonexistent. I received an email today stating that Sonic Blasts are 1/2 off with coupon code "TREAT". I recently updated my phone and haven't installed the app yet. But I wasn't worried since the coupon stated: "Log into the app or web and use promo code TREAT, or mention it when ordering at the drive-in". I told the person on the speaker about the coupon code. He had no idea what I was talking about. So he came out to the car and I told him. He went back inside and then came outside again stating that the manager said it needed to be ordered on the app. I showed him the email, stating that I could just mention the code at the drive in and it would be accepted. He left again, came back to the car and said the manager refused to accept the coupon code. I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN EVER GO BACK TO THIS SONIC LOCATION!!!! The service here is horrible. You have to wait for anybody to answer the drive through speaker, then by the time the food gets to you it's cold and drinks are watered down. Don't use the stalls because they ignore them. You can press the button and settle in to watch a movie on your phone before they get to you. I ordered the jumbo popcorn chicken and had to throw out most of it because it hurt my teeth, it was more than crunchy. read more

I love Sonic and have been eating there for as long as they have been in Texas. I have visited dozens of Sonic locations over the years and some have been better, some worse, but I don't think I have ever been as disappointed as I was today in Haslett. I ordered a 3 piece chicken strip dinner, and to be fair, the chicken, tots and Onion ring were good, what the problem was, was the gravy. I ordered and specified gravy as the dip for the strips. When my carhop brought the food out I was excited to dig in, opened the gravy container and I kid you not... there MAY have been 1.5 oz of gravy in the 4 oz container. I was surprised and I rang in and asked for more gravy, and the carhop apologetically said if I wanted more it would be a 54 cent upcharge. I countered that I barely received any and he said he would see what he could do, and quickly came out with another container. I was anxious to show that I was not trying to get free gravy, I was just trying to get enough so I did not have to eat two of my three chicken strips dry, so I showed him the amount I got and he agreed it seemed like a small amount, as he handed me another container that felt (unbelievably) as light as the original one I got. He shrugged and said, he was told that is how much they are told to put in the dinner. Maybe I don't understand the business, but I hardly think gravy is a loss leader, so scrimping SOOOO hard on it was just insulting. I mixed the two together and went from 3/4 inch in the bottom of a three inch tall container to 1 and 3/4 inches of gravy goodness. I ate my meal. and left 2/3 of a dry chicken in the box and have decided not to return. There is another Sonic near the Speedway and it has always given reasonable portions and no guilt for asking for extra. read more

I drink diet Dr. Peppers... a lot (they'll confirm)! I go to this place at least once a day, on average, for my fix (canned or bottled just don't taste like the fountain drinks, IMHO, especially when it comes to diet options). Carhop comes out with just drinks and informs me they have no pretzel twists. Ask for my money back. Roll eyes and says let me go ask my manager. Manager comes out and tells me they can't do refunds, have to go through the app. Call the number in the app, they tell me since i got my drinks i can't get a refund (no one told me this when i was getting my drinks) and they offer me a coupon for a pretzel IF i purchase something. I shouldn't have to purchase anything, i already purchased my pretzel. They claim they are escalating my ticket but they hang up during the call and never call back. I've been here twice for drinks, once for 50 cent corn dogs...so I can't really review the food. (And yes, some Sonics are better than others.) First of all, I was impressed with the response time the first time I was here. Before I even placed my order, I had someone at my car offering condiments and napkins. At some Sonic's, they never do this. She was very friendly. Nice customer service. The second time, the same lady was at my car within a couple of minutes. Secondly, I have never had a problem with my drinks. If I drive by again hungry, I'll update my review. As for now, they get a 4 for customer service and tasty drinks. read more
