Burgers & Curries is hands down one of our favorite Indian restaurants--easily top three for us. It also happens to be the closest Indian spot to us, but convenience aside, we genuinely love it. The restaurant is locally owned and run by the sweetest family, and you can really feel that care in both the service and the food. The space is small, clean, and welcoming, located right off 114 near the IHOP/Wingstop area. Despite the ongoing construction on 114 (which has been a mess), they've stayed incredibly consistent. The food is always good--like, reliably good--and I honestly have zero complaints. I always order the paneer tikka masala, and it is so, so good every single time. My husband and my boys are obsessed with the chicken biryani and swear it hits every time they order it. Came to the new location of this restaurant in Allen and it was so delicious! The service was great and we got seated right away. We started with the Chicken Tikka Kebab, and it was delicious! The spices were amazing and it came out hot and sizzling. For mains we got the Methi Chaman which was creamy and had a very unique flavor. We also tried the Chicken Chettinad which was recommended by the waitress. It was my favorite thing!! Super spicy and strong flavors. I love that this restaurant includes a choice rice/naan/roti with the meal, because I don't see that often anymore, it usually costs extra. Went in today for a good hot Indian meal. I've been here many times over the previous 4+ years I've lived in the area. This time was different than the rest...very different. A friend and I met here at 12:45 today for lunch. We we the 4th table in the restaurant. Not sure why it was so empty for lunch today, but that was different than previous visit. We sat down at a table closest to the server who was behind the county. She saw us sit down and went over to her computer and did something. We looked through the menu, which had changed a lot since our last visit) and waited for girl to come grab our drink order. She walked past us to a table next to us and dropped off some food, then walked past us again to the kitch. She then walked past us to take some plates to that table, then walked past us again to go back to her spot behind the counter. No communication, smile, "I'll be right back", nothing. That was enough for us to leave and never go back. I imagine they won't last long based off our visit today. Very rude. Sucks because we used to love their food! read more

We stopped by this place after stopping at Buccee's for gas. We were definitely surprised. It a very tasty hole in the wall. We started with the Potato Samosa. They were light and crispy. We then had the Chicken Tikka Masala. We ordered it spicy and it had a kick to it. We also asked for the Vegetable Achari. This is one of their spiciest dishes but we love the heat (along with plenty of glasses of water). We finished all of it. The Chicken Biryani was great with the Garlic Naan. The atmosphere was a a Hole in a Wall in strip mall. The service was prompt as the place is not too big. The food was delicious. Disappointing experience. We have a number of great Indian restaurants in DFW with authentic cuisine. This strip center restaurant on SH-114 @ I-35W may scratch that itch but it's not on that list. When we walked in, the restaurant seemed sufficiently staffed. And while our server was very friendly, service was scarce and slow. We even saw customers walk out for lack of service. I had the chicken tikka masala. Flavor was good. There was not much chicken and it should have been moister. The naan was a better side than rice. They serve beer but had a limited selection. This is probably a decent choice for lunch, if you're not in a rush. But doubtful I'll return. read more

I am a British girl but have been living in Texas for a while. I grew up surrounded by Indian food and miss it so much. I've tried almost all of the Indian restaurants in the area and so far this one comes the closest to what I am missing. Definitely will be returning. Our service experience was a bit odd. When we first ordered, the staff member asked if we wanted rice or naan. We said naan, so he asked , "plain or butter?" I asked if garlic was extra and he said, "yes, $0.49." So we went with the butter naan and found out at the end of our meal that it's also $0.49 extra. It's fine to charge extra for something but at least be upfront about it. The way he offered the options up was deceptive. I don't blame him for not catching my intentions at the beginning but by the time I asked if garlic costed extra he should have understood our intentions. To add insult to injury, he came by 3-4 times to ask if we wanted more naan but 0 times to refill our empty water glasses. Now for food: Cauliflower Manchurian - wow, really does taste like sweet and sour chicken. See how orange that sauce is? It's like 70% ketchup. I think this type of sauce is a very popular preparation but sadly it's not my cup of tea. Still, if you like sweet/tangy/spicy taste, give it a shot! Chicken curry - your standard chicken curry. Tomato-base with lots of spices. The chicken is soft and falling apart. Tastyyy - we got "spicy" and it was a perfect spice level. I'd go back just for this. I think it might be South Indian style..? It's a very thin curry, meant to be eaten with rice and not naan. It doesn't stick to the naan the way a more viscous curry would but I'd reckon it'd be soaked wonderfully by some nice, fluffy rice. read more

We finally made it to Burgers & Curries. It is very close to us and we had only been to the other restaurant that was in the location before it once. I did not care for that restaurant. Even though I had heard great things about B&C from friends and neighbors, I was skeptical. Instead of ordering at the counter, they have table service, so right off the bat it was better. The servers were friendly and service was good. My husband went with a basic Cheese Burger and onion rings. The onion ring were ok. He really liked the burger. I had the Chicken Korma with garlic naan. It was delicious. It was also a large serving, which means I enjoyed it the next day for lunch. There were many dishes I was interested in on the menu. Great Indian food! Great service, alot of curries to choose from. Pricing is okay, higher than others but i guess Roanoke is expensive . I got the chicken curry spicy and it was delicious it comes with rice. You'll have to order nan separately. I usually eat with both rice and nan so this was a bit expensive for me. I usually spend around $13 for curry rice and nan.. but I spent almost $20 since curry was $14, nan was $4. Overall it was good, i would love to come back but i gotta decide on if i want rice or nan. read more

If you can't handle spicy - highly recommend letting them know in advance given their default is spicy. We ordered quite a few items, but my absolute favorite was the paneer chilly - it's a must try. The paneer felt fresh and well seasoned, good balance of flavors and texture, slightly tangy, sweet and spicy. Gobi Manchurian was a close second - wish it was a little more crispier. I think the gravy it was cooked in made it a bit more soggy than I would have liked. The only reason I am giving it. 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is because although the overall experience was good, it was not mind blowingly awesome :). Second time ordering from here! I don't know if this is still the same owners from Burger Im. But I am glad for the change! My absolute favorite dish is the butter chicken. So flavorful and tender. I kinda want to venture out and order something else... but I love it so much. I did try the chicken biryani. The rice was very aromatic and flavorful with a kick to it. The chicken was very tender as well! It came with this yogurt sauce, which I highly recommend getting an extra container of sauce! It's cooling and light, and a great addition for the biryani or butter chicken. Cauliflower Manchurian was the only thing I did not like. It was very sweet and had a spicy kick to it. Reminded me of the Asian sweet chili sauce or like a sweet and sour chicken sauce but spicy. Shane got the tandori chicken wings before and he enjoyed it. If you are looking for good Indian food in DFW, TRY THIS PLACE. I've been all across Texas and eaten some amazing Indian food, but Burgers & Curry might be the best i've had. We got the Butter Paneer, the Achari Paneer, and the Chicken Chettinad Curry. We asked for everything spicy and got garlic naan and bullet naan. Butter Paneer: 7/10 - this is your standard butter paneer. It was creamy and had great tomato flavor, was very balanced not too spicy not too sweet not too salty. As far as butter paneer goes, it was good not standout but very good. Achari Paneer: 10/10 - oh my god. This was HEAVENLY. The FLAVOR?? Immaculate. You could taste the achar pickle and the crispy garlic and the smokiness of the curry. The flavors were INCREDIBLY balanced - nothing overpowered anything and the sum of ingredients was greater than the parts. This dish was so good that I got an extra order to-go so I could have it again the next day. If I could recommend everyone to try one item I would say this is a MUST. Chicken Chettinad Curry: 9?/10 - I don't eat chicken but I tried the curry and it was amazing. My friends gave it a solid 9/10 but I'll put a ? and leave it up to y'all to try. The service was fantastic, the owner greeted us after the meal and we had a quick conversation where she recommended some things to try the next time(Kathi Rolls and some curries).
