It's been a while since I've eaten here since it is out of the way, inside a gas station, and doesn't have a drive through. I had a hankering for it tonight and since they don't close until 9PM, I headed on over. I arrived at 8:36PM only to be told by the three gentlemen cleaning up that they were closed despite all their information stating they are open until 9PM only Sundays and "now open late." Needless to say I will not be returning or giving Wayback Burgers my business ever again. I mean - it's fast food but it's mega tasty. The Cajun tater tots are not greasy at all and extra yummy. The phili-cheese is loaded with a ton of meat. Adding mushrooms and jalapeños made it perfect. Also had the big cheesy or whatever the inverse bun burger is and it's quite tasty. Nice and buttery. I don't see why anyone would ever choose Whataburger or any other joint like that with this place around. We will definitely go back again. read more

A total surprise! Really, really good burgers! Located inside a lil grocery store this little Gem popped up a couple times and today we decided why not. We were greeted warmly just soon as we walked in. Everyone is super nice and checked in on us a couple of times. The burgers, fresh and tasty and the buns are super soft! I was in the area and decided to try here for the first time. When going to a new place like this, will usually try something slightly different (otherwise a burger is a burger) and this time was no different. It did surprise me that it was in a gas station, which is usually hit and miss. I saw on the menu they had a "Big easy burger" and I like Cajun food, do figured might at well try it. I'm unsure what sauce they use, since nobody there could easily pronounce it, properly lol. But they did offer to let me taste it first to see what's on the burger. I decided against sampling the sauce and just tried it. Was it the best burger ever had? Not particularly, but it was a solid burger. I usually eat lunch in my car (out doing Uber eats, so easy while listening to my music), though they do have a place to sit down and eat. They also gave me a drink while I waited, though really made when you order it, but didn't take long at all. The other thing I tried was their bacon cheese fries, which is why I took away a star. It wasn't terrible, but the fries were overly salty, and used shredded cheese instead of liquid cheese, and didn't include a fork which would have made it easier to eat and less messy. Overall, menu was basic and nothing special, but food cooked after you order, so pretty fresh. It's also less greasy than many burger places do, so could eat the burger without us trying to fall apart in my hands too bad. read more

This is my 2nd time here. It's tucked back inside a gas station. If you don't look for it, it's likely you'll miss it. Co-workers brought me here first time and I decided to come back after a great first experience. So the restaurant side is very clean and menus easy to read. You order at counter then they bring your meal out to you. My wife decides on the Fiery bacon burger and I went with the Classic burger with cheese. We added onion rings to my burger a d a side of the bacon cheese fries. Didn't take long until our lunch came out. It all looked great! Remarkably friendly service too! My burger was awesome! The buns aren't too overpowering big and and they patties are well seasoned and taste great! My onion rings were very good. Big rings, great batter and good taste. My wife said her Fiery bacon burger was good but not very hot. We had a great experience and I'll be back. The reason for only four is that the bathrooms are disgusting. I won't go back in those bathrooms ever again. I think it's more the gas stations side. read more

Honestly really good food. The lack of a star is apparently all non-beef sandwiches get an inverted toasted bun? I guess it is some kind of gimmick or something because due to the untoasted part of the bun being in contact with the meat, veggies, and sauce made the bottom bun an awful mess and fell apart when trying to eat which just went everywhere. This is a little gem in northwest Fort Worth/ Haslet. The burgers are just gold! Good old fashioned burgers that taste like burgers should! The lettuce and tomato on the burgers were cold and crispy and combined with the grilled onions, hot patties and gooey melts cheese, it came close to the perfect burger. The onion rings are great and our order came out piping hot, fresh and crunchy. Delicious! This is inside the Tiger Mart gas station but don't let that scare you. It was super clean and smelled so good! We'll be back. My only complaint is they didn't have iced tea which is my drink of choice. Also the kids working here were very nice and fast. read more

I stopped here with a friend after we went on a hike nearby. The burgers were delicious! The staff were very friendly! We also got cheese curds, which were so tasty, like fried cheese! I definitely recommend this place. Don't let the fact that it's tucked inside a gas station deter you. It's really yummy. And reasonably priced. Called for over an hour with no answer to place a to go order. Finally go up to location and order. They were rude, Burnt cheese curds and I asked for no bun they said only could do a lettuce wrap I so okay that works. Get home and it's on a bun... fyi the onion straws are just French onions that go in green bean casserole. Dining area was pretty dirty on top of all that. This place used to be good but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Save your money and get something edible. read more

Http:/fortworthtexas.gov/health/foodinspections It took 18 minutes for them to produce the health inspection that they claimed was readily available, but it was good to see that they only have two points out of a possible thirty for failure, and it has been since July so hopefully they have "cleaned to their act" so to say. The burger that I ordered was the limited time only Octoberfest burger; I added Jalapeños of course. They informed me that they grill their jalapeños so I was excited to hear of that. They have a lady named Shi, that works behind the counter, and she has loyally been with the company for 13 years, so she is awesome. Everyone was very professional, very polite. The burger was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked very well. I totally enjoyed this meal. I shared a half with my husband so I feel bad because I wish I had the whole sandwich to myself! Lol! The pros: Taste of our burgers was spot on and delicious. The burger patties are old fashioned, thin style, but not too thin, so I recommend getting a double if you like a beefy, satisfying burger. I had the classic all the way (lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mustard) with regular fries. The fries were fried fresh, hot and crispy. Hubby had the chips with bbq seasoning and thought they were just ok. He liked my fries better. It was nice being able to view the cooks as they made our food. The cons: This place shares a room with a gas station/truck stop that isn't up to my standards of cleanliness, but the restaurant area is pretty tidy. Seating is somewhat limited.
