Trick-or-Treat? More Like Trick-or-Trick As someone who actually enjoys Sonic and hasn't been to one since living in Georgia, this was a pleasant and spontaneous stop. I pulled in specifically for a Sonic Blast. I wasn't sure what I wanted at first (I usually go for cookie dough), but after checking online, I saw a Trick-or-Treat Blast being promoted for Halloween which makes sense since it's right around the corner. Today is October 23, 2025. This location, however, had zero mention of the Halloween Blast anywhere. No signs, and not on screen menu. Still, I asked for it at the drive-through, and they seemed to know what I was talking about... or did they!?!!! The young lady taking my order assumed I wanted a medium and didn't ask for my size preference. I confirmed the price matched a medium and went along with it. When I got to the window, the team seemed confused about whether I ordered online or through the drive-through. I explained I ordered through the drive-through and paid with another team member. Then came the awkward moment...the original young lady came to the window with my Sonic Blast, just standing there holding it. We made eye contact for half a second before I said I'd already paid. She said she knew... but still didn't hand it over. I finally reached my hand out, and then she did too. I asked for a receipt, and she gave it easily. My number one gripe is that they're using generic Oreos and M&M's. The difference is obvious in the taste. Call it "Kaleidos" or "chocolate rainbow mini gems," but don't call it Oreo and M&M's (bffr!) that's misleading! To make it worse, the fake Oreos were stale. That's even more insulting. Here's the real issue: according to Sonic's own website, the Trick-or-Treat Blast is described as -- "Trick or Treat every day at SONIC with the Vanilla Trick or Treat Blast. HEATH, M&M's® Minis, & OREO® Cookie Pieces blended with creamy vanilla soft serve, then topped with more HEATH, M&M's® Minis, OREO® Cookie Pieces." So where was the HEATH? That's a key part of the original formula, and my order didn't include any.. not even fake Heath pieces. Full stop. Disappointed!!!! Realistically, a $7 ice cream Blast using off-brand toppings isn't fair practice. Don't cut corners and still charge full price. I didn't even finish the ice cream treat, just sat there shaking my head. It's honestly wild how fast-food spots keep raising prices while the quality goes straight out the window. I hate to sound like a Karen, but this one was a real bummer. read more

I used to frequent this Sonic regularly as I worked in the area. Nowadays, I can't even stop by for a morning coffee because they open at 9am instead of 7a. That's highly inconvenient for me, but I guess the pandemic slowed business down, so shorter hours. The food is as good as any other Sonic, but they are lacking in the customer service area. Some employees are nicer than others, but most will have you sitting and waiting with no communication. Sometimes they are out of slushies and French toast sticks, so I would have a backup plan when dining at this location. read more

For the past couple of months, I can never get a slushy, smoothie, or shake. This location always say that they ran out or the machine is down. The employees are not polite at all. I did not have a problem was Shacoria who took my order, but had a slight problem with Alexis, the girl that brought the food out. I said hello and thank you and she said nothing and had an attitude. I couldn't even ask for ketchup or mustard because it seemed I was an inconvenience. She needs to have a better attitude towards people. Went there parked at stall, when ready to place order, was told we only taking drive thru, was upset and car two over from me was venting also, I was loud and we were talking and was overheard by manager who was sitting outside with gentleman talking got up and told not to leave and took our order. This establishment is filled with rude and unprofessional workers. Not all of them , but a hand full of them . I've witnessed them fighting each other , cursing and being irate . I try my best to not leave bad reviews because it's a waste of my time but I had to post this . Maybe- be more selective with the caliber of people you hire , and don't just train them to do their job but also train them strategically how to be a leader and serve respectfully ! For the 3rd time this neighborhood establishment has not been able to handle business. They already had issues with service prior to COVID-19. But now it seems that they are understaffed and/or mismanaged. They never took my order at the monitor either time after waiting for over 5++ minutes. The first time we went to the window and ordered and it seemed to be an inconvenience. This time we just left like several other cars. It's a shame because I really like their beverages and pretzels. We pressed the button and waited for like 10 minutes, until finally the lady answered and we finished telling her our order, only to find out she was walking to our car because she couldn't hear us. So we repeated it, and finally got our food after a bit. All we got were ice cream cones, which surprisingly weren't on the menu although I knew they sold them. Where to start... I wish I could give negative stars. Drive thru only at 6:30 on a Saturday. Two cars in front of us in line, took us 45 minutes to even get to the window. We drove 30 minutes because this was the closest, and the damn shake machine was down. Got to the window to find out they hadn't even gotten my order right. One of the "entitled acting" young girls inside was walking around eating, not even working. Not doing a thing. Workers were extremely rude and not smart at all. Then they gave out part of my order to a car behind us after we were asked to pull up. You'd have to pay me to go back here, and this was only the first time I've been there. They really did an amazing job cooking the pretzel. The corn dog was really good. And the cherry limeade had an amazing flavor. They did an amazing job with the flavor combination. Customer service was great, very accommodating and quick. I was quite impressed. read more

I really like Sonic's. The food is always nice and fresh. The beverages seem to always hit the spot....And the Onion Rings are addictive. I had to stop coming to this place because I enjoyed EVERYTHING that I tried here. They have Breakfast Burrito's, Croissant sandwiches, French Toast sticks, Hot Dogs (I've had better), Chicken Fingers and Sandwiches and of course pretty good Hamburgers. Did you know that they serve a Patti Melt that some locations do not show on the menu?????? Well now you know and you can thank me later for that extra 10 pounds you gain this year from ordering IT! :) And I always need that piece of pepper mint after I eat here. Oh wait, there I am talking about food when the main reason I come here is because I like to consume my calories via liquids. The worst sonic ever! I wish I could give it zero stars. They have really bad customer service. The older lady with the curly hair is probably the worst. She sloppily hands you your food and she always has something to say. Then they almost always get my order wrong. Especially when I order drinks. I tried their new frozen lemondade and and I ordered the strawberry lemonade flavor and received a regular lemonade. It tastes fine but it wasn't what I ordered. Then the next day I ordered the strawberry lemonade and instead got a lemon berry slush. And guess who brought it out? The old lady with thw curly hair. The crazy thing is during regular hours it work for Doordash so that seems very strange. Bad business!!! First of All I'm not rating Sonics on their food, I'm rating them on their drinks! So many flavors to mix and match or go plain...its so much fun! Ok so I went today for "happy hour" 2pm- 5pm all drinks half off and I orded a lemon berry slush for me and hubby ,2 small orange slushes and 1 green apple slush for the boys (they don't have the apple juice slush anymore). The drinks were great and it only came out to $3.00! Everyone enjoyed it and they boys think I'm the bomb because they get treats like slushes after school. Wow...where do I start?? If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is the second time I come here (was thought to always give people the benefit of the doubt) and the experience has been horrendous. Our whole order was $40. Gave them $20 cash and the rest on card. They couldn't figure out how to do it, all 3 of them in there didn't know. Finally just did 2 separate orders ‍. Then we got 2 shakes and the milk they were made with was sour; beyond disgusting!! Got home only to see the fries completely soggy with oil and the wrong burgers . I came here with my son twice now and we've had great service everytime! It's so convenient to sit in your car while you wait for the food. This is definitely great for people with infants and babies that would just like to sit in the car and order food that is delivered at your service. Ya, I know there are drive-thrus, but the difference between Sonic and a drive-thru is that you're not being rushed to order and leave. You can order in the courtesy of your car and the choice to eat after you've received your meal. Don't forget to tip the lovely ladies. Love it! read more

Going to this Sonic is a joke, and the true definition of insanity. Every time I go, I think that I'll miraculously get better service. The girls ALWAYS have an unprofessional disposition. This time my husband and I went to get slushies about 6pm today and the machine was down. I give credit where it's due, so the woman working the drive thru did offer an alternative option, to our surprise. Keep her if you figure out who she is. We tried again at 11:42pm and after sitting in the drive thru for a couple of minutes a young Asian female came out of the door behind the menu and said "we're closed now to clean the store" and walked off. It was not midnight. I used to be a server and we served people who walked in one minute before closing. I have never taken time to write a review on the poor service this location provides 9.5 times out of 10, but tonight takes the cake. Don't allow this review to change your mind about all Sonic locations, just save yourself the trouble/frustration and choose any location other than Pointe South. You'll be disappointed. There was a Caucasian young man who provided us with excellent service once. I think his name was Matthew. We haven't seen him again though . I don't like their food. At all. Once we ordered a grilled chicken combo meal and a children's chicken tender meal and everything tasted exactly the same. The fries, tenders, onions rings, just bland. The grilled chicken sandwich had zero flavor and the lettuce and tomato must be genetically modified cause even those tasted like air. The winner is the Slushies though. Half hour happy hour works as a mini family outing. Two Slushies, a children's Hi-C and a medium shake (not half off) came in around $6. Now that's a win! Sonics is my favorite spot for a quick breakfast before work. I've become addicted to their tots and slushies. I've had numerous compliments about the staff including a breakfast on them on one morning. It took me by surprise when I asked one particular day if they have turkey or chicken sausages and the response was "ma'am sausage is pork." I think the lady may have tried to laugh at me for asking, but the joke was on her due to her ignorance. I settled for just tots because she said that the pork could not be substituted for chicken. Which kinda pissed me off, but oh well. I've been back numerous times and never a bad experience again. I'd surely recommend. read more

My fiance and I went to this location to get lunch. We waited at the drive thru for at least 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff. There was one car in front of us so we waited and still no acknowledgement. We pull up to the window and the staff is all standing in a circle laughing and having a good time. We still stayed at the window watching and no one ever looked our way. They were to busy laughing and having a good time instead of working.
