We uncharacteristically were flying out of the T-gates and had some extra time before a 6 p.m. flight. There seemed to be a few restaurants scattered along the concourse, but there was also a sort of food court near the center (as is the case with the larger concourses too). This one had a pizza outlet but we opted for Grindhouse (part of a local Atlanta chain). You order from large menu screens and get a receipt with your order #. Then they eventually call you to the counter to get your food. If you want burgers, they have you covered. We ended up getting fairly small burgers and split an order of fries. Prices were high, but this is the airport so that's expected. They weren't higher than competing places here. I waited on the order while my wife scouted a table. Depending on the time of day, tables can be in short supply, so this was a good strategy. The food came out fairly soon and was good. I've been craving the smash impossible burger from this place for 3 weeks: I went to the "usual location" in D concourse just to find that it's closed while they open a new one in the center. Only open one is in T terminal. So I hiked over there. Ordered my veggie burger, bit in and lo and behold....... I dang bean burger patty. Absolutely not what I wanted. Online google search says they still use impossible, but the staff says they have been using bean Pattie's since they've been here (must be new). We went to GKB near T10 in ATL. It was less than amazing. The burgers were cheaply priced compared to other airport foods but did not taste killer at all. We got two single patty burgers and an order of cheese fries for around $25. No drinks. I had hoped for better burgers (more expensive would have been fine) and table service. My fault. I should have done more research but saw them listed in several articles as best place to eat in the airport. Definitely have had much better even at quick service restaurants. Coming from a flight that were delayed I had to find some place to eat. Being that it was now 8pm I stopped at the first burger place I could find I saw a ad for this spot in the terminal. The location seemed like a cool spot to hang out and eat but I needed to get my food to go. However this being my first time the waitress/cashier was kind of rude about pleasant and unhelpful. The woman with the dyed red hair should be a probation officer or any other profession where a personality and smile is not required. My best friend and I are traveling back home and she let the bartender know that it's my birthday. I wasn't expecting her to roll out the red carpet but she could have responded in an appropriate, friendly manner. Both myself and my friend accidentally spilled our drinks. She watched while everything dripped on us. The appropriate response would have been: rushing to get us napkins or a towel with some sense of urgency & checking to see if it were possible to get us new drinks...look on the other side of the bar to clean up the spill. I was torn between Grindhouse and Chipotle at the Atlanta D-30 location. Selected Grindhouse to have a beer with my meal while waiting for my flight. Next time I'll choose Chipotle. The burger was fast and cooked perfectly to medium, as I asked. The service was good, but a little defensive when I pointed out that the price on the menu facing the walkway priced the Junior burger at $6.99 and I was charged $8.63 for my Jr. burger. Despite having good flavor, the meat had a bit of chewy gristle and a small, white, hard piece of something I assume is bone. Perhaps that's something I should expect with ground beef, but I didn't like it. On my way out I noticed the self-order display where the higher price is listed correctly. I stood at the counter for a couple of minutes like a dummy before I was told I needed to go outside and place an order at the kiosk. So much for customer service. The kiosk had a message that it could only be used to place to-go takeaway orders. To order for table dining, I inferred, one had to scan the QR code on the kiosk and order using one's phone. (Seems more complicated than absolutely necessary.) I placed an order on my phone and noticed that the Fried Dill Pickles on the restaurant's sign were not available to purchase. Nor onion rings, and I don't prefer "crinkle-cut" fries. So no sides for me. I go to check out and to my surprise the app offered Google Pay (which I do prefer!). Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Repeated attempts only offer a vague message that the merchant's account can't connect to the payment service. So I choose the only other payment option, and it wants my full credit card information. That's a problem for me because I just got one of those fancy new cards that don't have the card number, ccv, or expiration dates on them. (There's a QR code on the card that opens the bank's app and displays the card details.) This is getting to be way more work than I want for a simple burger. I cancelled my order and started to walk away and an employee asked why. I told her all of the above and she said I should use the kiosk because it had a card reader. No thanks. One of the most disappointing food experiences I've had in the Atlanta Airport. The Delta app listed Grindhouse Burgers as having a turkey burger option. My fiancé was craving one, so we decided to make the trek across the airport to get it. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told they didn't have turkey burgers at all. The staff were not helpful about it, and honestly came across as rude when I asked about it. To make things worse, the app listed another Grindhouse location in Concourse D, so we took the time and energy to travel there, only to find that location closed. Then, we took another long ride across the airport to Terminal T, only to be told again that they were out of turkey burgers. By this point, we had spent a lot of time and energy chasing down a menu item that was never available in the first place. The entire experience was frustrating and honestly heartbreaking. Travelers deserve accurate information on what's available in the airport, and customers shouldn't be met with rudeness when asking about menu items. If you are looking for a turkey burger at ATL, don't waste your time... Grindhouse does not have them, no matter what the app says. Extremely disappointing for an airport of this size. I hope Grindhouse updates their menus and trains their staff to be more respectful and honest with customers. read more

I came here to pick up dinner before my flight. You stand in line and place your order through a kiosk. It takes longer than expected for your food to arrive. You should plan for that if you only have a couple of minutes to catch a flight. A group of people left without picking up their food because their flights were about to leave. In terms of food it was mediocre at best. I ordered the turkey burger. I have had better elsewhere. I did enjoy the large seating area and the flat screen televisions showing the basketball games. Oh my goodness what a fiasco this place is. 1. The self-service kiosk offered a chocolate milkshake on the menu. But, when I collected my order, I was told that they had none. During a layover, I did the one thing I dislike... getting food at airports... It's always so expensive! I'm sure they get enough customers to still make profit with lower costs. However, there may be more to it than I know. Anyway, Grind House is located in D Terminal by gate D29 and D31. There aren't many options in this area. Although it's not even 11am, I figured a burger would be good. You must order via your phone or the kiosk. You cannot order with a staff member. They are card only, no cash. There is 1 staff members who mans the bar (which you have to place a separate order if you want a drink). The other staff bags and calls out the orders as they are done. I ordered a single cowboy burger (bacon, cheese, bbq sauce, and onion ring). I ordered a side of sweet potato fries. Note: There are no combos. You do have the option to create your own burger. To add, you have to order everything separate. I ended up Ordering a screwdriver and boyyyyy, it was strong! It was also $9. My ordered was placed at 10:33am. My food was ready at 10:40am.
