In this time of COVID, Sonic is awesome for that road trip food stop. Load up on all those bad things you need to make the next 5 hours of driving fun. So we ordered before I looked it up on yelp. I was very concerned, but all of the low reviews were based on service rather than the food. We had burgers, fries, and cokes. The order was correct, quick and the server was so nice. The fries were the worst part, but otherwise it was a decent enough road trip meal for $16. read more

This is still one of the worst Sonics in the State of NC. The food is either cold or burnt some nights (if they even get your order right, that'll be a blessing) but the service, the employees, and definitely the managers are horrible EVERYDAY. Quick call service when ordering and convenient to pay with debit/credit cards at menu. #1 combo with tater tots is my favorite. I would have chose 5 stars but once my burger tasted like it was sitting around for a while and tasted sloppy. I was at the salon for hours beforehand and was looking forward to my meal. Nevertheless, I'm usually satisfied. NY waiter is fastest and hardest worker there. I like to just sit sometimes in my car and eat for a little while before heading home. Out doing errands we decided to stop here for a quick dinner. I wish we'd gone somewhere else! First the gentleman taking the order kept getting what we said wrong, then interrupted us when we tried repeating it. It took about 20 minutes from the time we'd ordered to the time we got our food while we watched the young ladies who delivered the food just standing around. Had we not paid already, we'd have left. Finally when our food did arrive, the order was incomplete; we were missing a drink, dipping sauce for chicken tenders, napkins and a spoon. At that point we were so ready to be done my husband didn't even say anything about the drink. If I could give zero stars, I would. Waited a half hour after ordering two sonic blasts and a sundae. Still no one came to give us our order. Lady in the car beside us stopped one of the runners because they were just waiting on a coke and fries. No one delivered her stuff in the time I waited before just leaving. I don't know why my youngest son is obsessed with Sonic and begs for us to go to Sonic whenever we go on a road trip. We are near a Sonic location so infrequently that I will usually indulge him on the rare occasions we happen upon one, but I have yet to have a positive experience at a Sonic that would make me want to go back. Lunch today was no exception. Twice in this past week we've gone to two different Sonic locations, and both times they got our orders wrong and we had to send it back to get fixed. Today at this location, even after sending it back and having it redone, they STILL did it wrong. The food is meh and sits like a lead weight in my stomach, so I end up regretting that I ate there. After the two experiences we had this week, I'm just going to tell my son tough - we're NOT going back to Sonic. read more

My son loves to go to Sonic on road trips since we don't have one near us. So we stopped here on our way home. 3 out of 4 orders correct. Tried to get mine fixed and they still brought out the wrong thing. I give up, what is so hard about no lettuce no pickles. Great there weren't any but what about the condiments and the cheese? Sent it back and on the new cheesbueger a piece of lettuce fell out... no big deal. Ok now there is cheese but only mayo. My stomach turned. So we left and as we are driving away and I am drinking my strawberry milkshake I sucked up an unidentified object... I am going to tell myself it was an old strawberry leaf but I really don't think so. So no lunch for me, not that my stomach really wanted it after using their restroom. I gagged on the smell (not a usual bathroom smell) and there was no tp so I used paper towels that were on the back of the toilet. Well, about the only thing they got right with my order was my chicken was cooked. My drink had almost no ice in it. I ordered a chicken dinner, with onion rings instead of tots... I was told "it already comes with onion rings" I said okay. I also told them twice I needed Ranch. I had no Ranch when I got my order, and 1 onion ring with the rest tots!! I got aggravated, threw my plate away after eating 1 chicken strip... Left and went to Bojangles next door where they know how to follow request!! Avoid this place!!! The woman at the drive thru was one of the rudest people i ever dealt with. She was acting as if she was doing us a favor. When we pulled up to the window, she put her hand out and asked for the money, no hello or even eye contact. She then gave us one of the two shakes and walked away. When she came back we asked us for the other shake. walked away and came back 30 seconds later with a shake sticky on the outside. We ordered two of the same size and got two different sizes. We then had to ask her for spoons and she never came back to the window. As we drove away we realized they were not at all what we ordered, and had very little taste. Stopped by on a summer evening to get a couple lemon-berry slushies. Doing the drive-thru. Could barely hear the attendant, could not understand half of what she said, and the screen still showed someone else's order. Drove around to the window and again could not hear half of what the soft spoken attendant said and very hard to understand. I felt it necessary to repeat what I ordered face-to-face just to be sure the order was correct. Paid over $5 but got that done and drove away. I found out that half of my slushy was syrup, not slushy ice. I paid 50 cents more per drink for a slice of lemon and I never tasted or found any lemon in my cup! My wife did have lemon but found an unidentified object in hers that was not a strawberry leaf and neither one of could identify what it was so she threw what was left away.
