We were immediately greeted with a warm and beautiful smile. This restaurant is right off of the interstate and it's perfect for hungry travelers. We enjoyed Courtney's hospitality and genuine kindness. IlI had grilled Chicken Tenders that seasoned perfectly and very tender. The corn and green beans tasted like fresh out of the garden. This Cracker Barrel located in Lumberton, North Carolina off of I 95 is one of my favorite Cracker Barrel to stop at. The employees are so friendly and personable. RESTAURANT is always clean and efficient. We decided to have the grandma sampler which was two pancakes, two eggs, sausage, bacon, and ham side order of their famous hash brown casserole Coffee. My wife is not particularly fond of sausage at your ham so she got three pieces of bacon instead the pancakes were wonderful nice crispy, hot fantastic my hats off once again to Cracker Barrel in Lumberton North Carolina if you should ever be going through, you can't go wrong to stop there for breakfast and lunch your dinner. read more

How can someone not like the Barrel? I live in South Jersey where there might be one Cracker Barrel over an hour away. That's why we like to stop at one on our way to Florida. We like this one in NC because the people working there are so nice and friendly I thought they were being sarcastic. My wife explained to me that not everybody is from NJ. Here's to traveling and going to another Cracker Barrel! This one is located in Lumberton, North Carolina, off of I-95. This was our first time at this location. Went here on Saturday July 26th 2025 with my parents and aunt. We stopped here for breakfast during our road trip to South Carolina. Walked in, some members in my party used the restroom first. My mom and i walked right to the host stand, where we were immediately seated, and greeted by a smiling face too. Our server was Ashley, and she was so friendly and nice. She also did her job and checked on us constantly, as well as refilling the waters, and coffee. We all started with 4 coffees, and 4 waters. I got the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of impossible sauasage, my mom and aunt got the momma's breakfast, and my dad ordered the cinnamon buns and pancakes. Food came out in a timely manner. Coffee was hot and delicious. Loved my chocolate chip pancakes and impossible sausage. Also used the restroom on the way out, and it was clean. Paid via credit card and left a cash tip for the waitress. Also checked out the store part and they had cute halloween items! Didn't buy anything though. read more

We travel around the United States often, and during one of our stops we visited this Cracker Barrel 3375 Lackey St, Lumberton, NC. I can confidently say this was the best service we have received at any Cracker Barrel. Pattie provided absolutely top-notch service. It was a very busy late morning/early afternoon (around 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM), and she was handling multiple tables, yet she never missed a detail. She remembered all of our drink orders perfectly -- I had sweet tea and my boyfriend had unsweetened tea -- and she consistently checked on us without being intrusive. Her attention to detail, professionalism, charm, and genuine care truly stood out. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, and it shows in the way she treats her customers. The food was also great -- compliments to the kitchen team for doing an excellent job. However, Pattie's outstanding service is what made this visit memorable. If you're lucky enough to have Pattie as your server, you're in for a wonderful experience. She truly deserves recognition -- and honestly, a raise! Keep up the amazing work, Pattie! read more

No hostess upon arrival. There was 2 tables with people when we arrived. We had to get the counter lady to go find someone to seat us... there was already another couple who had been waiting for 10 minutes ahead of us... another couple came in behind us. This was around 2:45pm. After waiting about 5 minutes, a female employee came and seated us. The waitress was pleasant. She took our order quickly and then came back to let us know they were out of pot roast so my husband ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with white gravy and carrots. I ordered a sampler plate of meatloaf, chicken & dumplings, collards and pinto beans with onions. The food was cold. The gravy on my husbands food was like flour and water mixed! Lumpy and cold. The chicken fried steak overcooked and tough. The carrots cold. The only thing that was remotely hot was the chicken & dumplings which were so doughy you just couldn't eat them. We've been eating at this restaurant for 2 years and never had really bad issues but today.. my birthday meal.. was the worst. The waitress got the manager out and of course she said we didn't have to pay since of course we didn't eat. We are finished eating here. The quality of food and the help is awful. Put in a order for pick up and the order was missing a whole meal. Because we were traveling on the road we were not able to go back and to get what was missing. Plus the employee that brought the food to the front was on her phone and smelled like pot. Maybe if they paid attention, more customers would be happy and orders would be correct. The floor was filthy with crumbs and dirt all over. The employee handwashing sign was put up in the guest bathroom, for some reason. Despite the fact that we were seated quickly and it wasn't too crowded, our food took 20 minutes to come out. Store 539 DUNN NC.. On our way to Savannah, stop in 8 :14 am Waited 30 minutes for meal. Got 1/2 cup of coffee. Had to leave due to going to Savannah for a wedding. Ask for manager Tayler. He said cook did not show up so he was cooking. The seat had food on it, yup I sat on it. Left paid for coffee and we tip. Cashier was not nice . Poor staff, Management is lacking. I've been to Cracker Barrel somewhere around a dozen times, as they're typically located along interstates and usually a decent-ish place to get a bite to eat when the normal off-the-highway fast food options aren't appealing. That was the case on my recent trip, so I was looking forward to some tasty, uncomplicated grub. Unfortunately, almost the entire meal was a miss. We started with a few biscuits, which were warm, but overly salty and so soft they began crumbling into pieces of nothing before they even reached my mouth. I got a bacon cheeseburger with a side of their kale and brussels sprouts salad. The cheeseburger, which I requested be cooked to medium, was almost certainly frozen. It had no sear to speak of, I'm glad I ordered bacon on the burger as it desperately needed seasoning. The bun was also way too soft, and sogged through quite quickly as I worked through it. The kale and brussels salad was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like it was dressed in simple syrup; just inedibly sweet. One small bite was all I could handle. Service was relatively pleasant, and we were in an out in about a half hour, but this visit made me wonder if those other fast food options would have left me more satisfied. read more

I'm not usually at Cracker Barrel that late at night so I thought that Dinner would be only offered. Surprise to me, our server offered us the breakfast menu as well. Sweet. I was tired so I got coffee and boy was it fresh and hot. My last cup was extra hot as she just made it and while I burned my mouth on it I didn't complain. I was still appreciating the fact that she made it for our table. For dinner/breakfast, I got the Double Meat Breakfast (did I mention I was hungry?) which had Smoked Sausage Patties, Thick-Cut Bacon, Three Eggs, Biscuits, Gravy, and Grits. Usually stop here once each year heading south on I95 in Lumberton. The food this year has slipped in quality and preparation. I had the Friday night fish special and my wife had the country fried steak. Hers was marginally edible because it was overcooked and didn't have good taste. My fish was deep fried with more crust than fish and extremely oily. Prices reflect recent inflation. Service was OK and deserved a 15% tip. In mitigation the place was busy early on a Friday evening on the weekend before Thanksgiving. read more

Ok so one month later, I dined in. It was so much better. My server was very nice and friendly. She anticipated my needs such as extra napkins, water and even vinegar for my greens. I asked for a salad with an egg and it was beautiful I wish I had taken pics of it. It was almost deviled eggs on my salad. Pot roast was moist. Serving was still small than what I remembered. Needed some salt. Turnip greens had 50% meat which normally I would like but I love turnip greens and trying to eat more veg. Can't give it a 5 Star because of the takeout incident. I realize this is a cracker barrel, but I still expect edible food??? My husband ordered eggs sunny side up, and they came with raw whites! Mmm, salmonella. I ordered the "good morning breakfast," which purported to include egg whites, turkey sausage, tomato slices, and "fresh seasonal fruit." What came instead: two regular eggs (strike one), no tomato (strike two), yogurt (unasked for, but not bad), the turkey sausage (too salty to consume) and A BOWL OF APPLE PIE FILLING. I politely asked what I was looking at and our server informed me that it was "fried apples." While apples are indeed a seasonal fruit, gelatinous apple pie filling scraped from a can and microwaved is in season nowhere but the eighth circle of hell. Here are the reasons I have this location 1 star. Our waitress came over and was not friendly at all. Her name was Kristen. We placed our order and asked for some biscuits. She brought out 4 biscuits 2 jelly. No utensils and no saucers. Then the food came out really quick. Had to send some of the food back because it was cold. The food came back out. Had to send some of it back again because it was cold. So I put a butter in the items to ensure they send out a fresh out batch. She also didn't give another table any utensils either. They were nmot happy at all. I asked for the check and she got that right. I went to pay for the meal And the cashier didn't ask me if everything was okay or if I wanted to purchase anything.
