The floor was filthy with crumbs and dirt all over. The employee handwashing sign was put up in the guest bathroom, for some reason. Despite the fact that we were seated quickly and it wasn't too crowded, our food took 20 minutes to come out. Aside from that our server was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

While traveling through SC and NC on I95, we stopped in here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were immediately seated and our server was prompt to greet us and take great care of us! Food was perfectly made, service was great and we were quick to finish and get back on the highway! Definitely suggest stopping in when in the area!

Cracker Barrel fails to disappoint! The tiny syrups amidst Covid make you smile. Our waitress, Nina, was so polite and attentive. Loved the Southern Charm of both our waitress and the atmosphere. Of course. This coming from someone from New Jersey. Our food... Breakfast. All good. No complaints.

I am a planner and saw that a Cracker Barrel was a third of the distance for me to Asheville and decided what better place for breakfast. I was there early but all the employees were chipper and so kind. I went with a normal breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast Everything was delicious and I also loved browsing their country store. Great place to stop at and lovely customer service. (Did I mention that Cracker Barrel also has alcoholic beverages now!! This was news to me)

Bacon cheeseburger with Brussels sprouts and kale salad.

I've been to Cracker Barrel somewhere around a dozen times, as they're typically located along interstates and usually a decent-ish place to get a bite to eat when the normal off-the-highway fast food options aren't appealing. That was the case on my recent trip, so I was looking forward to some tasty, uncomplicated grub. Unfortunately, almost the entire meal was a miss. We started with a few biscuits, which were warm, but overly salty and so soft they began crumbling into pieces of nothing before they even reached my mouth. I got a bacon cheeseburger with a side of their kale and brussels sprouts salad. The cheeseburger, which I requested be cooked to medium, was almost certainly frozen. It had no sear to speak of, I'm glad I ordered bacon on the burger as it desperately needed seasoning. The bun was also way too soft, and sogged through quite quickly as I worked through it. The kale and brussels salad was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like it was dressed in simple syrup; just inedibly sweet. One small bite was all I could handle. Service was relatively pleasant, and we were in an out in about a half hour, but this visit made me wonder if those other fast food options would have left me more satisfied.

I read four 5 star reviews from Mr. Cee's, one of them from a fellow Yelp Elite. Some answers please... As a POC, you know, I like to support my people. That said, I am also an extremely honest reviewer. I will give any place the benefit of the doubt. I'll return to a spot that has served food that may not be a representation of their best efforts. Like if the food were cold or they were shortstaffed and it had to be reheated and the texture changed but flavor and product are not to be compromised. The young lady at the counter was pleasant so was the couple who own restaurant. I don't know if it could be a locale discrepancy, but I have never in my life had a beer, battered pork chop, especially without forewarning besides that it lacked flavor except for salt and grease. I had baked beans and cabbage as my sides. The baked beans were fine. The cabbage was bland and soggy. You know we can do better. I ordered a sweet tea, got sugar water with a tint of brown. Again, maybe it's a locality preference. I want to go back in time and give them a second chance at what I understand they are popular for and try their barbecue just to give them a second chance. I told them I would be back...I won't unless I go with Gordon Ramsay and the Kitchen Nightmares crew. The inside of the place is closed for dining but you wouldn't be missing a thing. Can someone tell me; are beer battered pork chops the norm in Lumberton??

We have never been to a restaurant that serves you your breakfast cafeteria style! I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing if a breakfast joint does it like that. Our first impression when walking into Cakes, Pastries, & More is that there is no character to the restaurant. It's just a spacious square. We both got breakfast plates. The eggs were their best item, but was still not very good. The hash brows had no flavor and were undercooked (if you can imagine that) and bacon tasted like it had been sitting out for a day. The "sweet" tea is not sweet. The restrooms are nasty, but the rest of the restaurant is clean. Why just the restrooms? Both the solid customer service and the cleanliness of the rest of the restaurant are about best things going for this joint.

We sampled the chicken, pizza, taco meat, salad, deviled eggs And of course Ice-cream, cake, pies, pudding The fried chicken was Well-seasoned and tender, the chicken was very good making it a standout among the buffet options, The pizza was decent, with a nice flavor It wasn't gourmet, but it satisfied our pizza cravings. Pepperoni helps!!! I liked the deviled eggs they were fresh, the taco meat was another hit. The meat was well-cooked and seasoned, and the options for fresh toppings added a nice touch. I put some ON my pizza hey I'm not a purist and Golden Corral is not catering to purists anyhow! This Golden corral will be closing for a refresh, and there was some spackle on the walls in preparation of new paint but nothing that made our dining experience any less enjoyable it would've been four stars even if the walls were painted perfect. it's a buffet. It's golden corral. It really never will be a five star experience. We'll definitely be returning for another round of comfort food favorites when traveling.

But that is the same of every place I would say. One thing that I did not like was the fact that they only had vinegar bottles only near the salad buffet. I wish they had them on the tables or at stations around the restaurant like other establishments. The service was good, and the server did check on us often, and remove soiled plates as needed. The décor is still dated, and could be modernized. 2026-04 #580

My husband is a wing connoisseur, and he ordered the 10-piece naked wings in buffalo sauce, and I decided to try the frogs leg. Hubby loved his cheesesteak, and I can honestly say that the shrimp quesadilla was the best one I've ever had. We noticed lots of families eating and the waiter we had was terrific. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was packed, which we took as a good sign. Inside, the restaurant was very busy. The hostess seated us and mentioned they were offering a pizza bar for lunch that day. She took our drink order and then came back to take our food order. My wife ordered the steak and cheese with curly fries, and I had the cowboy burger with onion rings. My wife said the steak and cheese was good, though the curly fries lacked seasoning. My burger was a little different than expected -- it comes on grilled Texas toast -- but it was still good, just a bit heavy on the bread. The onion rings, however, were very good. We asked our waitress about the pizza, and she explained that there used to be a pizza place across the street that was always busy. The owner of Arnold's also owned that pizza place, and after it closed and became a gas station, they decided to bring the pizza to Arnold's. She said they just started serving pizza a few weeks ago and have been very busy since adding it. One odd thing worth mentioning was the restroom. It was freezing cold, almost uncomfortable, and when you go to wash your hands there's a sign warning about extremely hot water, but no hot water came out at all. My wife said the women's restroom was the same way. On our way out, we walked past the pizza bar. The pizza looked excellent -- very thin crust, just the way we like it -- and they also had spaghetti available. When we're back in the area again, we'll definitely stop in to try the pizza.
