Human missed request that had to be repeated, human missed drink orders and made excuses to why they weren't timely. When bringing requested extra plates to the table there was a greasy substance still on the plate. Though other tables received their drinks that arrived after us, it just didn't seem right. Let's go further , the food was received cold and not warm to touch. The drinks never arrived and waitress never noticed , though we pointed out to her and others. Well after requesting a box for leftovers , that was hard to get from the waitress. It was almost comical that nearly every aspect of this visit was a terrible experience. We were from out of town and shocked a business could run as this was. We asked for the manager and was told she was on Vacation. Then told the owner was coming over from another restaurant they own. WHAT?! NO WAY two restaurants, they can't be managed the same and survived. Well we had a discussion with Bert and he asked where we were from, told us how busy they are. PSA: we were the second group of people in the restaurant at 9:15. The city of Magnolia has had this Cookoff for over 30years. I would think he should've prepared differently. However, I recently used my NIMA gluten sensor to test the burger, bacon and fries, and the burger tested as "gluten found," so now I know I can't eat there any more. I'm very sad about that because I'm pretty sick of McDonald's (and I can't eat the fries at McDonald's!).
