Burt went to the back for a few minutes, told us he'd covered our tab for the night, and told us to take our attitudes elsewhere and never visit either of his establishments ever again. I know Burt thinks that he banned a table full of out of towners who were never planning to come back, but he's wrong. We frequently made the drive to both Mule Kick and Lefty's to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. For my two sides, I picked turnip greens and mashed potatoes. Everything was good, but the roll, turnip greens and sweet potato pie were my favorite items. I can vouch all three of those are homemade. The mashed potatoes were powdered, not homemade. The CFS and king ranch chicken were just okay, I've had better. For the steak, the meat was too tender and a low quality grade of beef. If I lived here, I'd definitely visit all the time...my waistline thanks me that I dont.

However, I have to eat gluten free, and their menu says that their burgers are gluten free (without the bun, of course). So I've been happy to eat there. I love their fries, too. However, I recently used my NIMA gluten sensor to test the burger, bacon and fries, and the burger tested as "gluten found," so now I know I can't eat there any more. I'm very sad about that because I'm pretty sick of McDonald's (and I can't eat the fries at McDonald's!).
