I travel a lot and I love sonic drinks. I placed my order on the app and when I got there to pick my order up I was told they don not have a public restroom. I had to go find another one while I was waiting on my order. If you can not let paying customers use your restrooms I will not be back. The food was just ok nothing to brag about. read more

On May 27, 2025 I pulled into sonic at 9:40 in the evening and order two number five hamburgers. Which includes in the sandwich to meat, two cheese, lettuce, mayo, and two buns. The meat on the hamburgers was so old it probably had set out for hours. I have never had a hamburger anywhere in any restaurant that was obviously so old that the edges all the way around an inch Around was dark and hard. I could've thrown it like a frisbee. And there was absolutely no bacon on it and it was supposed to come with bacon. Undoubtedly, that was the worst hamburgers that I have ever received probably in 20 years in any restaurant Normally sonic is my go to hamburger because they are fresh and tasty and I eat them quite often. But the Sonic in Monaghan, Texas is the worst in the nation. I called Cody who is the manager back and ask him to replace the hamburgers. He would not bring them even a mile away at my hotel but told me to just contact corporate. Actually, I wouldn't even give this restaurant a half star, but there was no option to give a half star. I would like to start by saying my daughter is 16 years old and is looking for a job and she put one in for Sonic here in monhans texas and they called her told her to be there Thursday at 11 I had her there waited for ever for someone to come out and let me know manger was running late I said ok and we then waited another 20 minutes for the only carhop to come out and tell me the manger wasn't coming in so they told her to do interview with a line of cars and her being the only one there besides the cook asked nothing but how old are you and what hours can you work then proceeded to tell me that they need help bad and the manger said to come back tomm at 10 which was Friday yesterday I had her there hoping for the best the girl that greeted us was not very friendly said general manger will be here in a few I said no problem and comes back 20 minutes later says can you come back at 11 she will be here I said ok I then take my daughter back at 11 wait another 20 minutes to be told that the gm was stuck in midland ti come back at 4 now you tell me something if they needed help that bad then this shouldn't of happened I am glad it did cause I do not want my daughter working for a company that can't get their shit together. Absolutely the worst Sonic I have eaten at. They were out of large cups, footlong hotdog buns and the coke was flat and had no carbonation. I ordered my food and the fries came out cold, like they had been in a refrigerator. Instead of a footlong hotdog bun they used 2 six inch buns. The food here is consistent and the carhops are great, but the service time is tricky to predict. Sometimes your order is out right away and sometimes it takes way too long. This Sonic was once the best Sonic across the nation around 1999, but now its not as quick nor friendly. The food is the same, just takes a bit longer to prepare and arrive to your vehicle. It's a hit or miss on catching a polite employee. Beware on eating here at night or on a weekend, it's part of the drag and there is constantly cars rotating through the parking lot and kids too! We went to Sonic tonight to get a blast and a shake. There's a sign showing they are half price. When we didn't get charged half price the "manager" named Isaac came out and was very argumentative with me. When I tried to express my concern about heir sings being misleading and asked if he would honor it, he told me no and continued to be rude and ugly. I told him I would call someone above him, he told me "Go ahead. Who are you going to call?" He argued a little more and I told him I was going to argue with him about it. He then sent out the GM who expressed she started in July. I told her that he was very rude and I didn't feel like fighting with him. She said she would talk to him and gave us the ice cream for free. As a customer, I have never been talked to or treated so rudely before. And that is saying a lot.
